Bombay Cheeseburger and Garlic Fries
Diana C.

The burgers were good. Not life changing but pretty good overall. I liked the different vegetarian options. The paneer burger was a nice twist too. The garlic fries were great. Honestly a major perk of this place is the quality of food for cost too (except the chai that was quite small). The server was perfectly polite. The eating area could have been cleaner as several tables had some residue on them but otherwise it was a nice little spot to sit down and have lunch.

Brand name

We took paneer tikka burger and honestly, it was okayish. We got 1+1 offer on Uber eats, otherwise it is too costly. Not worth the prize. The service was kind of rude.

Stopped by this place after I saw a fellow food blogger mention in their social media. Went in with friends and ordered Aloo Tikki, Lamb and Beef burgers. They were all okay, I wouldn't rave about it for sure. Having eaten better Indian Burgers, I felt this place a bit on the overhype spectrum. Chai tasted so bad, I wouldn't take it if you are a fan of Masala Chai, stay away lol Service was good and quick, place was pretty empty for Saturday brunch.

Small place but neat and clean, great for appetizers. Tried the Bombay Paneer, Bombay Chicken, Vada Pav and Masala Fries. Everything had a nice masala taste especially the masala fries. Fast service. We got our order in under 10 minutes.

The food here is mind-blowing as usual. Their aloo paratha is the best I've had in Seattle. The owner/guy at the front desk greeted us with a smile and is very sweet. Also loved their chai. There wasn't a lot of crowd as we dined on a weekday. The ambiance is casual. Honestly, this place is our go-to when we work out of Seattle office.

A late night snack of spring rolls will always hit the spot. The spring rolls are fried and come with a sweet chutney to dip.

Recently found out about this place and we had to try it out. We got Papri Chaat, Paneer Burger, Aloo Paratha, and Mango shake. The Papri chaat and Aloo paratha were good, we loved the Paneer Burger and Mango shake. We'll have to try out the Chicken Burger next time.

Vada Pav

This is an awesome hidden spot in Capitol Hill for some Indian Burgers, Chaat and Vada Pav. There aren't a lot of options in this area to get a Vada Pav and this place is worth checking out if you're craving one. I just had the Vada Pav so I wouldn't comment on the other things on their menu. For $7.99 I got 2 pieces of vada pav, with some green and sweet chutney, onion and jalapeño. There are definitely some better options on the eastside but I would say it was pretty flavorful and would hit the spot if you're looking for one in the area.

Bombay burger is actually good!! Take it from me, someone who eats Indian food on a daily basis, Bombay burger is Indian street food done well!! What I recommend: Masala Fries - chunky chaat masala really plays a role here and makes basic, boring fries, into a crave able delight. Since they're relatively new they probably don't carry chutney on the side but I would ask! They do have ketchup tho, aka America's favorite condiment Papdi chaat - next time I get this I'll ask for it spicy but pretty flavorful chaat and it wasn't too heavy! Burgers- both the paneer tikka and the aloo burger are fantastic but I definitely lean more towards the aloo (potato) one. It comes with crisp veggies and a warm patty. So so good. Also these guys are nice! They let us play DJ! Definitely recommend!!

The vada pav was not good. Most of the items in the vada pav were not in house but bought and assembled.

They have good customer service, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, delicious food, and generous portions. The only negative I could think of is the parking, but I've always been lucky finding street parking. My favorite go-to dishes are Tikka Masala (protein: usually with Lamb) with Rice, Butter Masala (protein: usually with Chicken) with Rice, Spinach-Paneer Naan Bread, and Mango Lassi to drink. A bonus is they typically give you a complimentary plate of Potato Samosas as a starter. Check out this neighborhood-style, casual Indian restaurant the next time you are in the University District of Seattle. I'm not sure what happened on my last visit as the curries were on the colder side. When you arrive parking can be a bit difficult, there is a small parking lot out front, if that's full you'll need to find street park. The restaurant itself feels warm, casual, and bustling. Queen you walk in you have the option to sit on the backyard patio or in the dining room. We opted to sit in the dining room as it just felt more intimate and the vibe we were wanting for dinner. For our appetizer, we started with the Samosas (Two crispy pastries filled with your choice of freshly mixed vegetables or delicately spiced lean ground beef) which were excellent. Next we ordered the garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, and butter chicken. The naan and samosas showed up piping hot but the chicken tikka masala & butter chicken were cold. I probably should have said something as I was disappointed but was too hungry to care at that moment. If I'm in the Seattle area I may stop by Taste of India again.

We knew Seattle had a better Indian food scene, but, we were def taken by surprise. The unique thing of the menu was - they change it every 2 months, region dependent.. we were lucky to get the Maharashtrian menu - which consisted of various dishes from various locations and families. From a simple varan bhaat (yellow dal with no spices just tumeric and rich ghee, salt and lemon) and plain rice to the spicy Kolhapuri dishes (Both nonveg and veg) to the amazing starters.. and fantastic sweets (tried the puran poli) . The CHAI was just WOW! We met the headchef as well, everything was just fantastic.. the place the was well lit and big, very spacious.. the service was polite, prompt! Tejal was just too kind and helpful. This place def deserves more than a 5 star!

I order the paneer tikka masala with garlic nan. The dish was amazing, flavorful, and the garlic nan was perfectly cooked. Even the rice tasted good. The chef even came over and asked me if I enjoyed my meal. For desert, I had gulab jamun which was good but not the best I've had. Overall, this was a great experience, just a few notes. The host wasn't all that friendly and kind of kept to himself. The price of the nan is a bit ridiculous. And the napkins could be nicer given the quality of the menu. I am still giving it five stars because I would go back and get the same thing.

The Paneer Dog plate came with two dogs and waffle fries on the side. It was good--basically scrambled paneer topped with green and sweet chutneys, chopped onions, and spices. The bun was soft, and overall, it tasted great. The aloo tikki sliders, however, were a bit meh. The plate came with two sliders and waffle fries, but the sliders lacked sauces and chutneys, making them dry and somewhat flavorless. The chili momos were delicious and definitely something I would order again. The mango lassi was also great, although I'm not sure why they add ice--it dilutes it unnecessarily! Still, it was good nevertheless. Overall, we enjoyed the food and would definitely go back to try more. The chili momos were the standout for me. Just skip the aloo tikki sliders!

The momos from this Indian-Nepali restaurant (kitchen?) had been something I've heard things about…read more So when I came up here, I was quite excited to give them a shot. Not exactly sure what to get, we ordered the momo combo, the malai momos, and the tandoori momos - all chicken. These did more than live up to the hype. They're simply the best momos I've ever had. The sample size on that isn't huge, as I've only had it from about three or four different places, but these blow those other places out of the water so much it's crazy. The quality here is simply spectacular - every kind of momo present is so delightful to consume. The level of marination on each of these is highly impressive. The momo combo comes with sandheko, steamed, chili, and fried types. Each of these are awesome. The fried momo has a great crunch without being overly bready. It reminds me a little of a turnover, but savory. The sandheko momo is dripping with a nutty, oily flavor. The chili momo isn't super spicy, but contains just enough for your tongue to feel that it's there - and it has a beautiful deep red color. The malai momos are also awesome. These are nutty and creamy to the max - drenched in sauce yet the dough still stays firm on the outside. The combination of flavors with the chicken feels like it shouldn't work, but it just does in a way that's purely addicting. Out of the three orders though, my favorite has to be the tandoori momos. These are plump, juicy, and the reddish brown exterior feels like they actually were cooked in a tandoor. They're the only ones crispy on the outside, yet the chicken on the inside stays the same level of soft and juicy as the other ones. I should mention how good the filling - despite being ground chicken - is. It tastes better than a lot of the pork filling I've had in other dumplings. We also had the garlic basil naan, with tomato achar. While the achar wasn't my favorite as it felt too liquidy, the naan was quite soft and enjoyable to even eat plain. Also the momo sauce wasn't my favorite either as it felt too tomato-forward. Each order was around $15-17, which for 10 pieces, I'd say is a decent enough price. Overall, I find it hard to believe that these momos will be topped anytime soon. 9.15/10

Our dinner here was fine. If I was just rating the food alone this would probably be a 4-star…read morereview but as an overall dining experience it was average. The food is really generous portions so you get a lot of value here! I didn't try anything I didn't like, but I also wouldn't say I was wowed by anything in particular. The restaurant has a decent amount of seating. We made reservations for Saturday night but would have been able to walk in. While there was a lot of seating they sat most people in this semi enclosed area and it made quite noisy. Additionally it took a while for the food to come out and there would be long gaps between dishes coming out. Overall this is somewhere I wouldn't necessarily drive out of my way for but if you are in the area I think it's a solid choice and could be a good takeout choice too.
