However, the food I thought was mediocre. The prawn puri we had to start was not bad, but the chicken jarfrezi consisted of large slices of union, very little in the way of sauce and some chicken pieces that had come off a tandoor kebab stick (they had holes in the midle) rather than be cooked for the dish. It was pretty tastless as was the chicken tikka massala. There is much better to be had I'm afraid.

When I walked into this corner restaurant at 930pm a a Friday we were the only ones inside, and so a tad trepidatious. However there was nothing to worry about at all. Service was attentive and helpful, and every dish came out looking and tasting delicious. The tandoori prawns arrived at the table sizzling over a bed of perfectly cooked green peppers and onions. They went really fast! The curries (aloo and bhindi) were wonderful complements to the meal. The Naan and garlic rice, often just fillers, were delicious in their own right. I very much recommend Memsaab for your Indian night out!

We had driven past quite a few times and it looked quite smart from the outside, oh how looks are deceiving! The service was shockingly slow even though it was a Sunday evening and less than 25% of the restaurant was occupied. It took 3 requests and 30 minutes to bring the drinks over, the starters were so awful we complained about them being sweet *which they should not have been* and overly salty. We were brought out more starters which were supposed to be an improvement but they weren't so sent this back almost untouched. The main course for me was a vindaloo which was supposed to be spicy, it was milder than a basic mild curry! The service was just bad all evening and even though we complained 4 or 5 times during the course of our meal we were given a 10% discount. My husband was rather upset that he had chosen to take me to this awful place on my actual birthday. We vowed never to go there again! Authentic South Indian food? They lied!
