I came here last week looking to get a trade in value for my sportster. I'm a long time gsxr rider,…read moregetting on in age and so I bought a sportster. Change in engine size is barely perceptible even with performance enhancing mods. Largely ignored by the sales team, came with the intention of buying more parts or, just trading in and starting fresh. There was one sales associate who seemed to be a straight shooter.. so I just kept eating my road pop tart and listened intently even though I was really waiting for that TIV report. I never had this issue before. Some made eye contact and kept right on walking by. Maybe it was my tattoos or I just looked like I didn't have the disposable income. Usually you're surrounded by a flock of salesman. Must be new management or owners because the merchandising in store is, lacking something to be desired. I hope they have a solid customer base out here that's not Military, because this dealership is everything I'm NOT looking for in a purchase experience. Same thing happened at new river which is sad because I really liked the guy who worked the parts counter. There are worse things than having to spend a small fortune in motorcycle parts elsewhere. Like Hardknox. 10/10 do NOT recommend. Then there was the one employee who complained about me smelling like the devils lettuce. Within EARSHOT!!! I looked right at her and she would not look up at me. She must have forgotten she's not trolling someone behind a keyboard.

Less than a month later and with under 1,000 miles on the bike, the light strip they installed stopped working. What's frustrating is that the light kit supposedly has a lifetime warranty, yet I was told I would still need to pay for a diagnostic fee just to find out why it isn't working. Their diagnostic rate is $150 per hour. In my opinion, if a part fails that quickly after installation, it should be inspected under warranty without charging the customer just to look at it. On top of that, the customer service experience was disappointing. Instead of working toward a reasonable solution, the conversation turned into an argument. After spending this kind of money on a motorcycle, I expected better support. I regret purchasing my bike from this dealership and hope others read reviews carefully before deciding to buy here.

Major scam artists. Do not buy from this business. Do to character length restrictions, I cannot…read moregive a detailed account of my experience so let me sum it up. Wednesday - bought used scooter. rode home. no headlights. speedometer didn't work. Thursday - took back for repairs. Fixed (allegedly) went to work. Discovered fuel line was disconnected and batter had been changed to an older one. Friday - took scooter for repairs again. Claimed to put new battery in it. Also told me it had an electrical problem and they fixed it. That night it will not start despite being jumped by a car. Saturday - had scooter delivered to Kings. I just wanted a refund. They refused. Offered me another scooter. I selected one. They said it needed a batter. 90 minutes later the battery is still not replaced and I have to be at work. I say I will pick it up Monday. They tell me that would be better because it has an electrical issue that still needs to be fixed (first I'm hearing about it). Monday - I go to pick up the scooter. its in pieces in the garage. they put it back together and have swapped out parts. it is not the one I picked out on Saturday. I tell them I want my money back. They tell me no and that I have to take a red scooter instead. I say no. They tell me that if I do not they will leave it on the lawn for someone to steal and I ill be liable. I agree to take it. They send the blue one as a loaner to someone who was having repair work done. He calls 20 minutes later broken down. 3 hours in the cold later, they finally let me go home but do not give me an updated invoice. In this time the owner also offered me to smoke a joint(weed) with him and lit up in front of me. Tuesday - scooter is having trouble starting. Wednesday - scooter will not start at all. Battery is shot. I call for a pick up and they tell me it is a $30 charge. I have a friend deliver it instead. When I ask for the updated invoice showing this scooter they refuse to give it to me until I pick it up from being repair. I have filed a complaint with BBB and AG's Consumer Protection and a chargeback with my bank. These people are scammers. Stay away!

I would not do business here. I went in to check the place…read moreout for my ex-wife. They were selling parts from my motorcycle which was stolen back in September. I had a big hoopla with the WPD and the WPD told me they have raided the place in the past. The scooters on display looked dirty, like recently ridden road dirty. I am not alleging that Scooter King are thieves, criminals or liars. I note that scooter and motorcycle theft is very common in Wilmington. The owner told the police officer I was with that they often buy's used scooters which do not have their key. Does the place look like a chopshop? I don't know I have never been in one.
