Extremely Disappointing Experience. I Would Not Recommend Coastal Linings…read more We took our brand-new Ford truck, with less than 600 miles on it, to Coastal Linings for a spray-in bed liner. The truck was in perfect condition when we dropped it off. When we picked it up, we discovered damage to the rear fender and a cracked taillight. What was especially disappointing was that no one mentioned the damage when they called to let us know the truck was ready. After bringing the damage to their attention, arrangements were made for repairs. We picked the truck up today, expecting it to be restored to the condition it was in when we dropped it off. Unfortunately, that was not the case. While the replacement taillight looks good, the overall quality of the repair work is extremely disappointing. There is what appears to be paint overspray beneath the taillight, and one of the parking sensors is scratched. The attention to detail and quality of workmanship are simply unacceptable, especially on a brand-new vehicle. And now, to make matters worse, the truck is displaying two warning messages: "Blind Spot System Fault" and "Cross Traffic System Fault." Neither warning was present before the truck was damaged and repaired. We now have concerns about whether the truck's safety systems are functioning properly. What should have been a simple spray-in bed liner installation has turned into damage to a brand-new vehicle, poor-quality repairs, and now potential issues with its safety systems. Accidents happen, and we understand that. But honesty, integrity, accountability, and taking pride in your work matter. The original damage was disappointing enough, but to have the vehicle returned after repairs with additional issues is beyond frustrating. We should not have to repeatedly identify problems or worry about whether our brand-new truck has been properly repaired. We trusted this business with a vehicle that had less than 600 miles on it, and at this point, I have completely lost confidence in the quality of their work. I would strongly encourage anyone considering Coastal Linings to take their vehicle elsewhere. We expected our vehicle to be treated with care and, when something went wrong, to have it made right the first time. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience. I am including pictures so others can see the condition in which the truck was returned to us after the repairs. Very disappointing experience from start to finish. UPDATE 10/23/26: Following my voicemail and online reviews, the owner of Coastal Linings personally reached out to discuss our concerns and has agreed to cover the cost of addressing the remaining issues with our truck. I genuinely appreciate his willingness to take responsibility and work toward making things right. While the issues have not yet been resolved, I believe it's important to acknowledge his response and commitment to correcting them. I'm hopeful everything will be taken care of properly, and I will update this review once the repairs are completed.
