The owner Gibran started talking to my daughter about making her a custom T-shirt and she said she wanted a velociraptor on it He said " how about a T Rex?" And she said "no a RAPTOR!" He and my daughter sat down (found a raptor template) and designed her shirt and when it was done she loved it. Then next time I went in, I was shopping for myself. I gravitated towards my normal looks, then Gibran brought me a few items. At first, I was like this is totally not me, I will look terrible in this and I tried it on and boy was I wrong. Everything he brought me looked amazing. There were a few things I was not convinced about, only because I didn't think I could pull them off, but I ended up buying two awesome sweaters and one shirt. Today my seven-year-old and I went in to check out some of their new things and again Gibran helped style me. He knows that I wear tights/leggings all the time, but that I want to expand my look. He showed me pieces that I could wear with leggings and new things that were a little bit different. Not only did he do that, but he explained why certain things looked good on my body type. I bought a few different pieces, including one that I wasn't sure about last time. My 7 year old asked for another custom shirt and she snagged a cool tiger hat. I got a Phinney Ridge hat for my 14 year old son too. This is the place you can go and know that what you are walking out with looks amazing on you and It's not just some sales person saying "oh yeah you look great" when you clearly don't. You will get so many compliments on your outfits. Go, visit them. You definitely won't be sorry.

Then you wanted it back." WOW! Seriously? Around O5/18, I spoke with 3 different leather vendors at Pike Place. Met Sami and Oliver, reps for Uphill Designs. I went back 3 weeks later, they discussed with Dan, he was interested. Months went by. On 10/15/18 I called, introduced myself, he recalled, we discussed the proposal, he agreed. Mind you; I was new to CC Processing, asked if he would help me out? Yes, then: "Hey Will, I won't be completing this, the company has quite a few bad reviews that come up, and I don't want to interact with a business that buys into poor communication." I saw, agreed, and never proceeded with that company. I had already chosen Dan b/c his website, storefront, and they make everything inhouse. Bonus on Poor Communication comment, I Loved It! I entered his store, presented Canvas, and we discussed it. He was stunned by its perfect condition! Some pieces are designed by the owner, Audrise. She also carries items by two sisters that recycle vintage Japanese obi into hair clips, cards, and wallets. The selection for men wasn't very large, though she said that there will be more later. Audrise also made some of the men's pants. The prices might seem steep, but if you consider that you won't run into every 5th person in the same mass-produced article it is on par or even cheaper than some chains (read: Anthropologie and the like). Audrise was super friendly without being ingratiating. She even recommended some products from a nearby Ballard store. This will be my new place to go for unique apparel & necklaces (also fashioned by the owner).

What I wanted, and was promised in the ticket, was a signing with the author that allowed two signed books and a picture. I only got one and not even a moment with the author. The author wasn't able to spare a glance up because the staff were rushing him through the last couple signings. I'm so disappointed and wish I could say this was the only time I've had a bad experience but they are so awful at hosting author signings. It's a shame it's the only place authors go around here

They had a solid variety of pieces for both men and women, everything from tees and jackets to shoes. Some items were pretty reasonably priced, while others felt a little too vintage for what they were asking, if you know what I mean Only one staff member was working while we were there, but they were super nice and helpful, and kept things running smoothly.
