It has a ton of Japanese treats in the fridge as well as shelves. They also have a bar and sell wine and fun cocktails. They brew Bolt coffee (a local brewer and coffee shop) and make a truly exceptional cappuccino. Like, really really good third wave style espresso drinks that I've not found at other shops in Providence so far (two week visit). I was initially worried their iced strawberry matcha latte might be too sweet, but that was fortunately not at all the case! It was balanced and mild. Just be sure to stir it up! They have them with different flavors and right now Cinnamon Roll seems to be a favorite. However, I ordered a hot caramel latte. Yes, they have different milks. My latte wasn't too hot so it was easy to drink. It did have a nice Carmel flavor. Nitro Bar also has pastries available, which looked pretty good. He asked me what time I am coming back and I told him that I will return in 15 minutes, I just want to walk around Federal Hill to find a take out lunch. He has my orders written down and just before I was ready to leave, he said he forgot to charge me for the freezer bag, the first thing that I asked for. So just to make it easier, I just handed him exact cash so he can ring it on the cash register by himself and I can leave. When I came back, it was more than 30 minutes, when I approached him to pick up my order, he said to me that he did not pack them yet and he told me to wait as he is packing somebody else's cake orders who seems to have a bigger order consisting of a lot of different whole cakes. I told him I have a Lyft driver coming but he said he has to take care of that customer first. This is what I am afraid of, this is why I tried to talk to people face to face for better communication and yet the service seems to still lack from this establishment. The male staff member did not say sorry to me and was just muttering loudly to the asian girl that he totally forgot to do my order. I recommend that he needs to fulfill the prior order first before moving to the next customer so he doesn't lose track and forget. Some people belong in the back instead of dealing with customers in the front, if this person cannot focus and tends to be forgetful and disorganized, please don't put him in the front. It's infuriating. Time is money and if he doesn't understand that or cannot seem to be efficient, then he should leave the front service to the professional. The cakes, just what I thought, the moisture from the frozen ice packs I placed inside got in some parts of the paper boxes and into some parts of the cakes and brownies, the saran wrap did not work. I hope they have an option for sturdier containers to better protect the pastries inside the freezer bag that they sell. If I visit Rhode Island again, I will try out another bakery like the Madrid European Bakery & Patisserie. Pastiche may have a longer reputation for cakes, but the horrible experience leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
