I want to preface this by saying I'm not the kind to speak up when there's something wrong with services like at restaurants or nail salon but I have to warn others about this place... I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for 18 years. I've never once had them messed up by someone. This place is terrible. Some guy did my eyebrows and was VERY rude. It takes a lot for me to speak up but they looked so bad, I had to because I was embarrassed. I just asked if they were even to the girl at check out because they looked off and husband noticed right away too. While she was looking at them, the guy said "you have something to say to me?!" And I simply asked if he took off too much hair and he lost it. I'm humiliated, they look terrible. I can't be out in public like this. It'll take a long time to get them back to normal. He raised his voice and tried to blame it on me by not asking them to have them "on the bone" and to ask for that next time... I've never had to ask for someone not to mess up my eyebrows. I usually say "just a clean up" and they get the job done. This guy clearly doesn't know what he's doing and isn't trained. I see a hiring sign... I wonder why. He was inexperienced, rude, aggressive and unhinged. After looking at other reviews, it looks like the man I had this awful experience with was the business owner. You should honor what your coupon says. I brought the coupon...same one I've used before during January. The level of ignorance is beyond tolerable. I know it's only 15%, don't offer a coupon if you have no intention of honoring it. Never in a life going there!!! Ever!!!!! Went in yesterday i have gone to Unique Arch and yesterday I decided to give this place a chance, WORST mistake ever! The girl who did my eyebrows fucked them up soo bad, my eyebrows are the thinnest not to mention the unevenness! I paid cash with a $100 bill i noticed she didn't count the change and gave it to me, noticed it looked incomplete since I had only done the threading ($18) counted my money right outside and what do you know she was charging me $33 bucks! I went back and told her she gave me an attitude and rudely gave me $10 more back, I extended my hand and she threw the money on the counter! Never going back again! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! I went into this location with a friend who wanted to get their eyebrows done and they asked how much it would cost for threading and tinting, the staff member stated that it would cost $28 so my friend and I decided why not, the price isn't that different from what we are used to back home. So we got them done, my friend finished before me and the staff member was like "oh it's actually $38, I didn't do the math right. Is that okay?" No it's not okay staff member, how do you not know how to add prices? Plus you gave us a price and regardless you messed up you should have charged us the price you mentioned originally. Unfortunately the staff member didn't even give me a mirror to look at my eyebrows up close and personal if they had I would have noticed that they missed some spots that I had to fix myself. So disappointed. I have only gotten my eyebrows ever done here and never had an issue until today. I went in with my eyebrows looking so thick (let them grow in for a year and did touch ups at home) and left with them looking so thin I could've started crying right then. Not to mention that the lady rounded the eyebrow part above where my nose is. She also was so rough with the thread that it burned lines into the top of my nose. read more

I paid for a tint and thread and had my brows absolutely butchered. My eyebrows were thick, which I told the woman to keep thick and showed her multiple pictures of what i wanted. In order to get a refund, I was told to text pictures of my brows to the owner in order for him to decide if I deserved a refund. I left a review on Google explaining my experience and the owner texted me asking to take the review down. Unprofessional. i'm not from the area, so I drove back to the salon to get my refund and was only refunded for the thread, not the tint. I now have to wait at least six months for brows I painstakingly grew out for a year. Despicable work, I have never felt uglier in my life. 2/3 of my brow is gone, she made them even shorter and got rid of all my hairs on top and took too much on the inner corners. I look like a fool. This place is amazing! Malik the owner was great, he did my eyebrows as well as my husbands and I couldn't be happier with Maliks work. He was very nice and gleeful, and super helpful. I let him know that some lady messed up my eyebrows and left a gap that wouldn't grow back, but that i wanted to keep them as thick as possible. He fixed the gap in my eyebrows in one session while keeping my eyebrows thick! Im am so grateful! This place is amazing. Great customer service! Will definitely be back again! read more

I've always had such a good experience here, the Indian ladies always leave my eyebrows so nice and clean and straight. But I went in yesterday and these teenage girls where there and they left my eyebrows so thin, the same happened to my mom. They have weird gaps, my eyebrows now curve weirdly and thin, they look like eyebrows from the 2000's. I expressed to the girls that I didn't like them and they got upset with me, they said that I wasn't letting them explain and that what I was saying about my eyebrows didn't make even make sense, they were so rude. I love my eyebrows! The lady who did mine spoke broken English but she was very sweet and listened to my requests. I was very clear I didn't want thin eyebrows as I've had bad experiences with waxing at salons in the past. She explained she threads the eyebrows to their natural shape. Bollywood eyebrow threading is the ONLY place I will go! :) My mother, sisters and I have been going to them since they opened... I believe ~5 years ago when it was just Malik and Fariha! They continue to offer the amazing results after all these years. Every time I walk in, I feel welcome. They have a beautifully clean salon, amazing prices, never painful and most importantly my eyebrows look SO much better after they finish them! Everyone does efficient, and amazing quality work. I always get complimented on my brows. If you go to the Gresham location see Fariha! She is so sweet and does awesome work! My eyebrows have been threaded by the same person (once in a while by her brother) from this salon for about 3 years, maybe more. I found them at Washington Square mall in Portland. I live in Corvallis, about 1.5 hours drive to the mall. I come to them once every 1-1.5 months. I had my eyebrows threaded at 4 different salons. This place is my favorite because they know the eyebrow shape I want without have to explain it to them and the result is always great too. Reasonable price. Great service. Then, not long ago they moved their business to Salem Center mall, I'm happy that I only need to drive 45 mins to see them. read more

Not impressed with this place. I called to make an appointment, but was told they do walk ins only. After getting there and waiting 20 minutes, the man who did the threading did, in my opinion, a poor job. Not only that, after he was finished, he handed me a mirror and explained that he had purposefully not removed any hair between my eyebrows because he wanted me to grow that in, and that having my eyebrows so far apart was causing my nose to look wider. I have naturally wide set eyebrows and explained that I cannot grow hair where it doesn't naturally grow and to please remove the stragglers. He told me to "just try it." I will not be back. If you want a great place to get your brows threaded in Salem, go to Unique Arch instead. Cheaper, less painful, much better quality. read more

For the last year, we have been attempting to get threading done. Every time we attempt to get threading,she is never there. This past week, we went to the mall and her store was open. There were two employees standing with thread in their hands. We told them we were here to get threading. They informed us the owner was not there, and we could not have it done. I took my 9 year old daughter to their Salem location today. She's asked me to get her a Henna tattoo for literally 6 months and I finally broke down. As we were standing in line the staff member pulled 2 people out of the line that were behind us ahead and served them. Even after another customer told her we were there first. It was obvious they were acquainted by their conversation. While we were standing there the staff member accidentally struck my daughter with the chair as she reclined it and acted like she hadn't. They treated her like she was invisible and unimportant no doubt because she's only 9. She never did get her tattoo because the staff member was so rude and uncaring that I left. I am frustrated that they treated a child with such disregard. This was a huge deal for my daughter. She left disappointed and feeling ignored. I left disgusted.
