I am so disappointed in my experience here recently. This is one of my favorite places to diner. Now I dread it. There's a new manager I believe her name is Sherry. Witnessing the way that she speaks to and belittle her staff is truly disgusting and should not be tolerated. One of of the days that I was there a short young lady was basically running the store by herself kuddos to her. The young lady asked Sherry and a young man with a mustache to help and they looked at her as if she was wrong. I do not say this often but if I was her manager she would have immediately been terminated. No employee should be degraded as she has done especially in front of customers. I've been disappointed the last several times I've visited this particular BoJangles. I've had to wait because they ran out of biscuits several times. My orders have been wrong (ie, they gave me strips when I ordered a leg) or the food isn't up to their standard. I've always loved their biscuits but I'm starting to rethink buying from this location. read more

The food is good when you finally receive it. I have gone several times and I choose to go inside the restaurant because I am on my lunch break. I typically order a 2 piece kids meal, nothing big or complicated at all, but it seems to end up that way. I have waited as long as 25 minutes and did not have time to have lunch on my lunch break at all. I noticed several employees that were walking around, looking confused, doing nothing when there were customers in the dining area waiting for their orders, at the drive through, orders waiting to be filled, etc. when there are 6-8 employees working (or on the clock) but only 2 or 3 are actually pushing food, and taking care of everything that needs to be done, get rid of the dead weight. Get people in there that can get the customers taken care of. Some people and kids are only clocking in and out for the hours and a paycheck, that seems to be the problem in a lot of places nowadays. First time there for breakfast. Ordered a gravy biscuit, the cashier indicated the biscuits were small and gave me an extra one, this is great customer service. As a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit connoisseur, I was excited to see a Bojangles relatively close to my house. I used to hit Bojangles a lot in college because they serve breakfast biscuits all day. I'm not sure if my fond memories of eating at Bojangles are mostly due to nostalgia, because when I ate at this location, I was sorely disappointed. During the COVID pandemic, only the drive through is open at this location. I started out pleasantly surprised with my experience. The young man who took my order was so polite and the speaker system was top notch so I was able to hear when he spoke to me. When I pulled around to the window, my experience went downhill. I was given the wrong order, which the cashier quickly realized, so she asked for me to hand everything back. I did and she handed me another order, which I assumed was correct. It wasn't and I didn't check to make sure before I left, so I was stuck with the wrong side. The biscuit was just okay. The bacon and egg were nice, but the cheese had a weird tangy flavor and the biscuit was stodgy. I might try this location again in a pinch, but I'll be staying clear of it for now. read more

I've been here on two occasions, and both times have sucked. The first time they didn't have any dirty rice or any pies.. the second time they didn't have any dirty rice, pies, or wings. I thought dirty rice was a staple! I asked for extra gravy for my mashed potatoes. The lady says here's your extra gravy and so I looked in the bag. There was no gravy already on the mashed potatoes...so therefore that's not extra gravy. They have really gone downhill. Not going back. read more

So of all things they would have ready, at least at a minimum of warning, would be (at a restaurant that primarily serves chicken), um you know- CHICKEN! Traveling through Powhatan between Bedford and Richmond at least 2X per month - this would be a good place to stop to pick up dinner on the way home. You would think that 4pm on a Sunday would be a good time to pick up some fried chicken, especially during the summer when no-one feels like cooking. Cold chicken, slow service. Undone fries. The only high point were the Cajun beans. And unsweetened tea.

Rude and inept window worker, and it wasn't even busy. I advise anyone to go anywhere else. Too bad because I usually like the biscuits.

It took 30 minutes from the time I ordered chicken to get it through the drive-through! On top of that the honey mustard that I asked for twice was not in the box. When I asked the young man about the honey mustard how many had been put in the box he stayed oh I don't know when I went to look he mumbled we may be out. So he knew there was none in the box the person I had ordered it from new they didn't have any no one bothered to tell me until I had paid and spent 30 minutes waiting. I asked to speak with the manager and complained to the manager, she didn't seem to care. I told her I don't have a receipt she went back inside made the young man come out bring me a receipt so that I would at least have a number to call and complain. I called Bojangles corporate to complain and their customer service line was very nonchalant about the whole thing. They seem to be more interested in getting personal information from me then taking down my complaint I explained that I was trying to make a complaint not fill out a survey. Very clean restaurant with friendly staff. However, myself and 3 other people waited in line for over 10 minutes for our orders. Mine was only a side and a drink - a $3 order that cost me 15minutes. I love Bojangles and I'm sure the food is always consistent. But with 4 visible staff upfront, it shouldn't be this long of a wait. I hope this review will help motivate the staff and management to improve their efficiency and customer service efforts. read more

Purchased 8 piece meal and only one chicken breast was there. The rest is not edible and nothing but small, greasy thighs and two wings. This was dinnee for two but only one of us could have a real dinner with the measly pieces of chicken. Not going there again. The biscuits are good and that's why this was not a one star review. Half of the time they are out of chicken! Slow service. Be prepared to wait 45 minutes for the simplest order.

I am being generous with 3 stars because the staff has always been friendly. However, in the 5 times I have visited this location, 3 times they were out of sandwich buns. Once at 12:30, another at 2pm, and the other just past 3pm. 1 other occasion they ran out of spicy chicken patties several hours before closing. To run out of sandwich buns or chicken breasts mid day is unacceptable. Those should be controllables that management should be cognizant of to alleviate shortage issues of standard products. The drive thru intercom failure is unfortunate but that is an uncontrollable. When it has worked, the drive thru was on the slower side. Again, perhaps they were new and training...I am not sure. However, this location truly deserves a 1 Star. But....I will be patient in the hope that things turn around. Again, service has always been friendly and food has been solid and accurate. A little more "sense of urgency" at the drive thru and inventory supply control is needed. read more

Just sharing an experience. Walked in, ordered food to go. Eased over to the pick up counter, glanced around the restaurant, didn't really notice anything other than it being empty. Turned my head back to the counter, and was asked " can I help you?", by a young person sitting at a table/ counter top. Caught off guard, I responded " no". Then I thought about it for a few seconds and answered " do you want to help me"?. He responded, " you looked at me 4 times". This really caught me off guard. I answered " no I didn't". " However, it was unintentional if you saw it that way". He muttered a sound. He then walked by, and went behind the counter. I barely noticed the guy, much less, looked at him 4 times. This location has only been open for about 2 weeks and for the most part it was great. During the first week, I ordered a Cajun biscuit combo on my way to work and while driving I bit into a raw chicken sandwich. I was already late for work so, I called the customer hotline to report this and she told me that someone would contact me. Of, that nudge happened. read more

I'm reluctant to give a fast food chain 5 stars - but if they impress me a couple more times I may just have to do it. Me and my family went in the first week they were open. There was a line that moved quickly, and the staff was like a fine oiled machine. The food was tasty, and the service was great (someone was walking around to tables asking if they needed anything)! Drive thru closed. Went inside and heard another customer yelling she'd been there for 30 minutes already and the chicken would take another 10 minutes. I should've walked out at that moment. There were multiple staff members behind the counter and in the kitchen. I'm not sure what they do or if they don't actually have some assignment to complete. It's painfully obvious every time I visit this location, there is a lack of adult supervision. Perhaps they need can think about cooking some food ahead of time in ANTICIPATION of a dinner crowd! For crying out loud it was 6:30pm on a weekend night. Is there really a large risk of frying up some chicken and French fries that cost the restaurant 75 cents in hot oil, chicken and potatoes! Plus when and if I go in the morning it's like the cashier has to pay for the bags when I ask for one. When you are getting Bo Biscut and cinnamon twists for everyone at work plus drinks. Visited this place yesterday, I currently live in Louisiana so I'm used to amazing fried chicken. The biscuits were not that soft, and the chicken had a crispy outside but you could still taste batter that was mushy under the crispness. The chicken wasn't tender. I don't know what happened to this restaurant but I hope they get a new management soon so they don't go out of business.
