It was so good I had to go back! The Brunch bowl is what I order both times ( I wish I tried something else) and the "grit balls" were delicious. Service was fast and prompt even with a full house. And the woman at the counter (she was in the kitchen and ran food, greeted guests as they pick up their food, possibly a chef) was EXTREMELY nice and outgoing. She seemed to really enjoy her position and kept order in the kitchen. Food was delicious if I haven't already said so, so much flavor, a Carolina quality kinda spot! I highly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional, yet casual place to dine. Thank you Grit Counter!

The parking lot was packed, and most tables were already taken when we walked in, which is always a good sign. You order at the counter and then grab a seat while they bring the food out to you. The menu is extensive, with plenty of dishes built around grits (as the name suggests). I went with the chicken and waffles, and it was loaded with flavor--crispy fried chicken breasts, a Belgian waffle, chunks of bacon, and a blueberry compote on the side. The whole plate was enormous; I definitely didn't finish it. My husband ordered the fried chicken and fish platter with French fries, and it was equally generous in size. We also started with the grit fritters as an appetizer, and they were fantastic--crispy on the outside and a nice surprise inside. Overall, the food was really on point with big, satisfying portions. The waitstaff seemed super busy but stayed friendly and attentive. The only downside for me was having to bus your own table at the end. Prices for lunch felt a little high at first glance, but when you consider the huge portions, they're pretty reasonable. We'll definitely be heading back soon.

They have a small section of outdoor seating, which is nicely spaced out. What we got: *Classic Gyro with Lamb and Greek Roasted Potatoes - this was good, but we have other gyros that we like better. The lamb is prepared a little differently here, almost like hamburger patties, but it still has good flavor. The potatoes were so good! *Raspberry Dream Salad with Pork Souvlaki - love this salad with the cranberries, crunch from the cashew nuts, and addition of the pork. The pork was flavorful! I replaced my salad with greek dressing instead of the raspberry dressing, and their greek dressing is pretty good. Service was a little slow as they were busy, but the girl taking the orders was also the one delivering orders to the tables as well. Perhaps a little understaffed for the Saturday lunch rush. Last time I was here, I got the falafel wrap and feta pimento cheese as takeout. The order was quick and ready before the time promised. I enjoyed the wrap, but the pimento cheese was a failure for me. I love pimento cheese, but this one was just so soupy in texture and really did not have any feta flavor to it, but it definitely had pimento flavor. Also, we got the medium size and were only given a couple of pita bread slices, so they do not have amount of pita to match even close the amount of pimento cheese. I would come back here if in the area as they offer some good options.

Pollo Loko - North Charleston, SC…read more The wife and I stopped into Pollo Loko for a quick lunch, not expecting much... and wow, what a surprise this place turned out to be. First off, the customer service was outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely made us feel appreciated from the moment we walked in. You don't always get that kind of attention these days, so it really stood out. The restaurant itself was spotless, well-kept, and had a great vibe. You can tell they take pride in the place. Now let's talk about the food -- because this is where they really shine. We started with the empanadas, which were absolutely delicious -- fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to kick things off. For our main, we ordered the Peruvian chicken, served with fries and rice, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and paired incredibly well with their signature sauces -- seriously, those sauces take everything to another level. Even the salad was fresh and tasty, which says a lot because that's usually an afterthought at most places. On top of that, they've got a great selection of sodas and other drinks, making it a perfect stop for a casual lunch. Bottom line: An unexpected gem with amazing food, top-tier service, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere. **Highly recommend -- 5 stars, 3 thumbs up from us.

This is a fast casual style restaurant and not a real fancy place. My picky colleague who's never had peruvian ordered the ribs. Quesadiladas - you get 2 in an order and these are different than Mexican ones since they have grilled bell peppers and onions. A bit pricy too...the rice and beans that come with this are just average. They only had 2 salsas for the table, a green ranch like one and a red spicy one similar to a spicy Mexican red sauce. I'm still looking for a peruvian restaurant that has the spicy green sauce that most all peruvian restaurants have in California.

The parking lot is busy because it's shared with a doctor's office, Starbucks, and a lot of other restaurants. There's a designated parking spot for takeout orders, though. This location was busy with customers in line, but it was also well-staffed with multiple sub-makers and a cashier. My order was ready when I arrived (at the promised time). I appreciated that it was behind the counter and the worker verified my name and the name on the order. My sandwich was just as I'd ordered it- I left off the oil and added pickles- and it was perfect. The brownie for dessert hit the spot. My only qualm with Jersey Mike's is that it is a little expensive for what you get. I know the days of a $10 lunch are long gone, but here, you're lucky to come out for $15. Still, this is a great lunch option after a day of shopping at Tanger or on the go with online ordering.

I didn't want to resort to a public review but I can't get a response. I paid over $43.00 and got one sandwich. I just want a refund.
