So, let me just start with the fact that I am biased here. Bojangles is in the position (for me) as the best chicken fast food restaurant chain in/around north Alabama. The prices are reasonable, the customer service and atmosphere is very inviting and friendly, and the food the typically very good. I say "typically" because every now and then you might get a biscuit that's a little over done or some fries that have been overcooked, but that's typically late at night near closing time. But that kind of stuff happens sometimes, regardless of the restaurant. It certainly doesn't cause me to have a bad experience. If you've never been to a Bojangles, go! The drive through was quick and easy. They were quick to serve, so that is admirable. As I pulled away and investigated, they had forgotten ketchup and napkins. I had to go back in for that. At least their dining was open...I have to give them a little for that these days. The chicken sandwich...the bread was warm but the chicken was room temperature. The sweet tea was old by taste and the top was half-way attached and part of it dumped in my lap when I picked it up. I really want to give them three stars, but cold food, wet pants, and a need to go it simply isn't a 3/5 experience. They have to try harder. read more

We don't have Bojangles in the Houston area so we grab it when we can on our road trips. We stopped here to grab breakfast. We've had it before and knew going in we were going to order the chicken biscuit with egg and cheese. It did not disappoint. Got exactly what we were expecting. Great flavor on the chicken. The staff was friendly and efficient. Honestly didn't have a lot of interaction with them other than ordering and picking up food. They were all friendly with our limited interactions. I am as passionate about Bojangles as some people are about Jesus. But I am convinced there is a very correct way to do this restaurant. Bojangles does a few things incredibly well. Their bone in fried chicken is by far my favorite fried chicken.  The spices are perfect. Bojangles also features some really excellent sides. They have a very flavorful mac & cheese and some delicious seasoned fries. But the main attraction here is the dirty rice. Get the dirty rice and thank me later. It's the best. In the spirit of fairness, I should point out some things that Bojangles is just OK at. Their chicken biscuits and sausage biscuits are just OK. There are much better places to get either of those things. In addition, their chicken tenders and chicken sandwiches are just not that impressive. You can also get those things much better at different restaurants. I bet you can guess where. Just go back to the first paragraph of this review. Order what I said and you are in for a great meal. I do not want to hear anything about Popeye's from you. Popeye's is trying to do the same thing as Bojangles but is in every conceivable way inferior. Every time we go there, we order sweet tea without lemon and they put lemon in our tea anyway. We tell them about it and they say to "just take the lemon out". No, that's not how it works, once you put a lemon wedge or slice in your tea, it is completely ruined because all you can taste is the lemon juice. I don't hate lemons, but tea with lemons is nasty. This only happens at the Athens, AL location. No other location has put lemons in our tea and no other location has ever asked if we want lemons. read more

The girl at the drive thru was very nice. I never eat there so I wasn't familiar with the menu. She was patient with me. I ordered a 2 piece chicken tender box. The food was very fresh and they threw in 2 extra tenders. The biscuit was very good! Usually by 8 o clock biscuits that you get from a fast food place is like a hockey puck. Every time I've ordered through the drive thru they never ever get my order right. I always have to check my bags before I leave because I used to drive all the way home just to realize that part of my order was missing. One time my chicken was so tough I had to take it all back and one of the managers acted like I was wrong and had an attitude. After that incident I said I wouldn't go back but it's been a while And my husband wanted food from there so I went yesterday and they had me pull up for 7 minutes to wait on Bo rounds but I realize while I was waiting that they had left off my two piece dinner so I told the guy that brought the Bo rounds and he went to get my dinner but came back and said that they were out of legs and substituted two wings instead but I don't like wings and asked for another thigh and he said they were out of those also. Haven't ate here since a kid. Came with my girlfriend's family and was very disappointed. They have a sale for 2 for 5 country ham biscuits which I thought was a great idea. This used to be a good fast food restaurant but something has happened in the kitchen and they now pass off garbage for food. The Cajun Filet Biscuit was a mess. The biscuit looked as if it had been cut with a chainsaw. It was in too many pieces to even hold the chicken. I had frozen biscuits at home and baked up some of those and served my guests. I ordered the Cajun Filet Sandwich. The top bun had two burn marks, the length of the bun, with melted plastic in the burns. Whomever put this sandwich together had to have seen the top bun and it was simply ignored and served. Luckily I had some hamburger buns in the pantry. Oh yeah, they forgot the fries altogether. I have gone to Bojangles upwards of 4 days a week in the past but now I am a former customer. After all, Chick-fil-A is across the street. read more

In the town we live in, there is no Bojangles. So when we come to Athens to see family, we eat here nonstop. The food is amazing. If you like spicy things, and you like chicken, look no further. I cannot get enough of the flavor! The service on the other hand, is less than stellar. We have been there 4 times in the past week, and they have yet to get our order right. The staff seem distant and distracted.... I don't feel like they listen to me when I order, hence giving me the wrong item over and over again.. They ripped me off :( -twice, one was from the bojangles in HSV. Ordered the chicken fingers (4 pieces) combo and a kids chicken fingers (2 pieces) combo. The sides were different and they go the side items right (fries and dirty rice). But they only put 2 pieces of chicken fingers in both order :'( I didn't check until we already drove on. My children and I recently enjoyed a great lunch at BoJangles. The staff was friendly, the service was good, the chicken was fresh and spicy, and the biscuits were perfect--slightly "crisp" on the outside and soft on the inside. We had Supremes and biscuits, a salad, and a wing dinner, and it was all very good, and reasonably priced. They are famous for their iced tea, and I have to admit that it's most of the reason I like to eat here. It's so good that it rivals well-crafted tea at the finest restaurants and compliments the spicy chicken perfectly. The atmosphere is always pleasant with a clean dining room and soothing music. A friendly employee usually comes by our table at the end of our meal to offer us samples of their cinnamon biscuits, which are yummy. Good location, and plenty of parking top it all off. This is our favorite breakfast place and the country ham is to die for! We love the breakfast biscuits and the friendly service. The hostess coming by offering to get refills is a wonderful amenity that isn't common to most fast food restaurants. I've also bought tailgate platters from there and they are always a hit on game day. read more
