See picture, where I pulled it apart to see better. All bone and breading, with about 1 square inch of 1/4 inch thick meat. I would guess about 1 ounce of actual meat. Are they cutting the breast meat off for the tenders, and screwing the customer? Or do they just buy anorexic chickens? Never did get the biscuit. I have given this Bojangles multiple tries since it is close to my house, and THEY ARE TERRIBLE! I waited in line for THIRTY MINUTES, then when I finally got to the window they asked me what my order was again. Then they asked for my receipt again! After waiting at the window for 10 minutes while the line behind me grew, they handed me my order with NO FRIES!!!! I don't know if kindergarteners run the restaurant at night, but the service is absolutely horrible. I see why most of the Bojangles in Charlotte close early. The employees were too involved in their conversations with each other about what happened last night, instead of engaging with the customer. They then proceeded to lock the door after we came in so nobody else could eat inside because they just wanted to do drive thru orders. Never felt this unwelcome in a Bojangles before. The good: hmmm... It is close to 485, I have never gotten sick from the food. The bad: I have never had a pleasant experience here. The employees just seem glazed over jaded. How bad can you mess up chicken? Sometimes, you be surprised but it all falls on the shoulders of this locations horrible staff. I've picked up many o' chicken biscuit and bucket o' crispy from these guys over the years, so I can vouch for the flavor but thats a company thing. What ruins the "chicken run" is when the staff is seemingly preoccupied with some burning conversation as you pull up (which is often) or they are too quick to usher you into a parking spot to wait for ONE item from the entire order during breakfast, thereby increasing you wait time unnecessarily as you watch a stream of pther customers have their orders fulfilled. I've lived in the area since 2003 so I've had numerous experiences with this location. Most of them have not been good. Unfortunately this location is the closest to my home. My wife decided to stop by again this morning. As I sat and waited for my usual bag of disappointment my wife informs me there must be new management because her interaction with the staff was pleasant. She said someone actually told her "Thank You". I honestly didn't believe her. Until I unwrapped my biscuits and saw food that looked good enough to be in a commercial. Slowest Bojangles I've ever been too. After waiting in line 20 minutes I get to the window and they stated they did not have any chicken cooked and it would be 20 minutes I said ok fine and paid for my food. Waited in the parking lot 30 minutes then called to check on my food just for them to tell me it would be another 10 minutes because they did not drop the chicken. Crazy to keep waiting but my toddler just had to have Bojangles. 15 minutes later I called again the lady said the chicken was coming up now but they still needed to cook the rice like whatttt y'all had basically a hour to do that. Checked my bank card and the money had been refunded for the food 20 minutes prior to me calling so I'm guessing they never planned on giving me the food or telling me about the refund or I would have left. After receiving my biscuit and my coffee cup I went to fill my cup and there was no coffee (which is not uncommon). It's a fairly new vicinity and I had the opportunity to visit this place for breakfast. I was on my way to play ball on Saturday morning and I didn't have time to make myself a breakfast in the morning so I decided to stop by to get me some energy. My coffee, egg & cheese biscuit and bo rounds came out fresh. It's very neat and clean place, there service is good and food is fresh and tasty. My friend ordered their sweet tea which was so good I had to get one myself on the go. I'm a Popeye's guy, but there isn't one around here, so sometimes I head to Bojangles if I'm looking for some spicy chicken. I had a bad experience at a different location several years ago, and it has turned me off to EVER ordering their chicken pieces again. I'm writing this after eating a big dinner, so I won't share what happened so as not to risk losing said dinner. But, I digress. Bojangles is convenient for lunch if I have to eat while I drive, so I go with the chicken tenders. Regardless of which location I visit, I always avoid the drive thru window. I want to be able to see what they are placing in the box. One of my pet peeves is when there is a picture of one thing on the menu, and something totally different served to me. In the case of Bojangles, it's what the tenders look like. On the big menu board, they look plump, scrumptious and so big it's a wonder that anyone could ever finish them in one setting. In reality, they are slightly overgrown chicken nuggets. If I spend $8 for a boxed lunch, I expect a decent sized serving. Especially since the picture looks so damned good. As for taste, I like their tenders. Not as spicy as Popeye's, but still tasty I don't do sauce since I drive while I eat, and I don't use ketchup for the fries for the same reason. Their is enough flavor in the said food that it I'm not missing out by skipping the sauces. I'm also not a biscuit guy, but I have been known to nibble on the ones from Bojangles. The service at this location is typical fast food, slow and slower. If you are looking to have a pleasant conversation with your cashier, go elsewhere. Just went through the drive thru here, I was the third car in line and it took 20 minutes just for them to take my order. I wanted to leave very badly but there about 10 cars behind me also waiting. The lady on the intercom was rude and didn't say anything about the wait or say "how's it going?" or anything that you would expect an employee to say when they greet you. When i pulled up to the window the employees were just lounging around and standing there joking and having a good time. No sense of urgency whatsoever. The food was very subpar and disappointing. My girlfriend asked for his homestyle tenders and received supremes instead. Both of our fries were hardly cooked at all, mine were over seasoned and hers were not seasoned at all. My Cajun filet biscuit was over cooked and the chicken was paper thin. The thing is I've had the same experiences here over and over again in the past but keep trying to give it a shot. Whoever manages this place needs to get their crew in order, and based off other reviews I don't understand why Bojangles corporate won't step in and do something. All I wanted was a small bo-round and one medium fry and the lady kept on repeating something I never said so I had to keep on reassuring her. Then when I ask for some ketchup she repeated and said jelly? I said no ketchup and she did it again, this is when I get frustrated. She was VERY ghetto & impatient .
