I pulled off the interstate for something to eat a little after 10:30 am. Having stopped at this exit before, I knew it would be a busy time to try Chick Fil A, so I went down to the road for another option. Bojangles' parking lot was pretty much empty. I should have taken that as a clue since the average Boj is usually busy at the time. I went in, and there were two people waiting to pick up the food they had ordered. I stood at the counter for several minutes before anyone came to take my order. I selected the grilled chicken sandwich and made it a combo with sweet tea and mac & cheese. They were taking a long time on the to go order for the customer in front of me. Once I was the next to pick up my order, the clerk kept asking the kitchen about the grilled chicken. He finally said he would bring it to the table. I took the mac & cheese and the tea and found a table. I did go to the self server area for a spork and napkins. Most of what was supposed to be there was empty or very little available. I kept waiting for my chicken sandwich. And waited. And waited. I looked on the time stamp on my receipt, and 15 minutes passed before it was ready. Remember the clerk said he would bring it to the table? He didn't. This morning I went through the drive through. I orders a chicken biscuit, biscuits and gravy and a side of eggs. Went to Bojangle's for fried chicken after hearing so much about this regional chain from someone who lives in NC. The fried chicken was good, but the wait was too long (we waited about 15 minutes to get our food) when the line wasn't even that bad. I feel like the sanitary of this place is somewhat meh (the soda station and how employees handled the orders such as chicken and scooping of side orders could be improved to make the food more palatable). Overall, I don't mind eating here again, although there's not much to rave about it. read more

I'm a health conscious guy who generally avoids fast food joints like the plague, but there is a definite soft spot in my heart for Bo's. Growing up in Chapel Hill, the closest Bojangles to my house was about a half an hour away in Hillsborough (also one in Durham) so I didn't really go there much. But since I've been at Elon , my roommates have got me hooked. On a Saturday morning I find myself jonesing for those delicious scratch made biscuits and perfectly spiced cajun chicken filets. Also, they serve breakfast all day. What's not to like about that? Whenever we go (usually on the weekend for breakfast at noon) I have to get the cajun filet biscuit with egg, a side of mac and cheese and a sweet tea. My mouth is watering just writing this review... Bottom line: if you are a chicken and biscuits fan and you're pressed for time, Bojangles is about as good as fast food can get. I specifically made a Yelp account for this. This is the worst Bojangles' I have ever been to. Super slow service. My whole order was still wrong. Paid for food I didn't get, went back inside to try and get the correct order and no one would come to the counter. I didn't get a straw for my small unsweet tea, when I ordered a LARGE SWEET tea. I wouldn't complain or be upset if the workers didn't have poor attitudes and no work ethic. We dropped by Bojangles to see what a NC chain was like. I was hoping to have some good chicken and biscuits, but was a bit disappointed. The biscuits and fries were good, but the chicken was unfortunately not great. Perhaps it was an off day, but the chicken we received was quite dry and the outside a bit hard. I wonder if we got like reheated stuff or the cook overdid it. In the end, the chicken tasted no better than average fried chicken. The day we came the restaurant seemed a little messy as well. I eat at this location several times a week and normally love it. Today I have never been so disappointed to open the slop that was passed off as food to me today. We ordered several cajun biscuits with fries, like we normally do. Today the fries came in a large greasy lump at the bottom of my bag, half cooked and dripping with grease. The chicken sandwiches were just barely cooked long enough to not give me salmonella, but filled with grease and so gross looking, that after one reluctant bite I threw it away. I ordered off the Bojangles.com (20 piece family meal) website and scheduled delivery for 12:05 PM. Got there at 11:55 AM, and doors to inside were locked, so I got in the drive thru line. 10-15 minutes later, I got to the speaker and told them I had a web order, and they told me to pull up to the window. I tried to give my name, and they told me to pull up to the window. 10 minutes later, I got to the window and told them I had a web order and gave them my name. They said it wasn't ready yet, and to pull up to the space in front of the window. 10-15 minutes later and there was no sign of food, so I knocked on the door and no one responded. They were letting people in from the "curbside" parking spots, so I did get inside eventually after about 30-45 minutes of waiting. When I did, they told me that the "doordash orders come up when they come up" so I should keep waiting in my car. I tried to explain it wasn't doordash and offered my order number, but they told me they were too busy to worry about my order. The manager told me "she didn't have time for this today" because she was already very busy. She again referenced doordash, and I tried to explain to her again that I'd ordered off the Bojangles website and not doordash. I honestly don't know if they even knew they could receive an order through Bojangles' website/app. At that point, after it was obvious they weren't going to do anything, I left and drove to the next exit (Maple Ave) and ordered and received my order in 15 minutes, which I thought was completely reasonable with no additional prep time for a somewhat large order. When I walked into this restaurant I was greeted with an unpleasant angry woman at the register. As I walked up, I noticed chick-fil-a cups on the tables (as well as other trash) but it was Sunday- so these workers hadn't cleaned the eating establishment the previous night. Margie, the cashier immediately snarled at me and angrily took my order, and walked away from the counter. So, I was standing at the cashier waiting for her to accept my card on the machine and she yells "You can come over to this side" and after me waiting for my card to work but she needed to press the button I heard her say "...or not" and the crew started laughing. Meanwhile, I was waiting for this woman to accept my card on the machine. After this mishap, I continued to wait a total of 7 minutes for my fries to be ready, and she continued to act in the same disrespectful manor. on thursday afternoon, dec. 15th about 3pm i stopped into this location with a friend and we had two combo dinners. while waiting at the counter for my food i am watching 3 young gentlemen and they appeared to be gay. there were 2 of them hugging each other very tightly and running their hands down each others arms and backs. now i dont want to see this behavior period. man/woman, man/man or woman/woman. i completely lost my appetite. none of them put gloves on or washed their hands after rubbing on each others bodies. this isnt professional at all. i had 2 thighs in my meal and they were very greasy and i believe that they pulled them out of the grease too early because the chicken wasnt cooked all the way through. i was very disappointed and disgusted that a company allows such behavior. especially where food is being prepared. i didnt enjoy my food/visit at your store. completely unsatisfied and dont know if i will eat there again because of the behaviors of your employees. the employees at this location look very dirty. like their sweaty and need a bath. very tacky looking. i am surprised that the managers allow them to come to work looking like they do. again i was very disappointed with my visit. nobody likes their food to be handled by dirty hands! tysvm! read more
