The service is great but the best part of the experience is being able to cook food right at your table. The experience of that makes it a lot of fun. I love the decor and the overall experience, especially since the sushi bar is right up front where you can watch just as you would if you were in japan. It's a very enjoyable experience but also has some simpler items for those uncomfortable with an all around fusion experience. Ex. Fried rice, Mongolian beef, and sesame chicken are some basics that most Americans seem comfortable with... but i dare you to be brave and pick something new :)

I had an order for 3 people but was feeding 4 so I asked for some chop sticks and 2 forks, the lady said "theyre in bag" after I said for 4 people to eat. Got to our place and there was one set of chop sticks and 1 fork, With 3 orders of food, 2 sushi rolls and no soy sauce packets or anything. My order costed $70: kalbi ribs that barely fed two 3 year old boys and 2 small pieces of broccoli with some steamed rice on the side. We had 2 sushi rolls; a spider roll and a cali roll. The spider roll was old tasting and had soy sauce all over it which we never had soy sauce put over our rolls from there before... The pics I took were after we had a couple pieces and realized it was not good at all...

It was around 8 pm when we started searching online, and found this restaurant which closes at 10 pm. As soon as we got there the lady brought us Korean style tea to warm up. We checked the menus she gave us and ordered a soy bean soup and a seafood stir fry. Next time the lady came she brought 15 different bowls of banchan (side dishes including kimchi). We have been to many Korean restaurants all over the US but no where else has brought that many dishes if banchan. Our entrees came, same sizes as elsewhere, and just as tasty. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Anchorage.

Korean food is my favorite food. Its diverse, favorable, and generally good for you. Eating at WonJo is like going to your grandma's. You will be well cared for, and you'll leave stuffed. The restaurant more like a house and less like a fancy restaurant that seems to be so trendy these days. Don't be fooled. This is where its at. I have never been disappointed.

I'm so glad we did because this ended up being the best meal we had while visiting Anchorage! I ordered the tofu pho and really enjoyed it. The broth was a little sweeter than what I personally prefer, but it was still delicious and packed with flavor. The tofu and other ingredients were fresh, and the bowl was comforting and satisfying. The staff was really nice and welcoming, and I loved the cozy, relaxed ambience. It was a great place to sit down and enjoy a warm bowl of pho after exploring Anchorage. Service was decent overall, although our waters were never refilled during the meal. Overall, this was definitely a highlight of our trip, and I would absolutely come back the next time I'm in Anchorage to try more of the menu!
