We have been here several times and it does not disappoint! The bands are always a pleaser...I just wish they would expand the dancing area...push those tables back a row! I believe we have eating there 2 times. Taco Tuesday was Tasty! We also had some apps. (nothing yet to write home about) If you ever get a chance the music is always loud. The crowd is always happy! (except that girl fight one night after No Filter) And the Drinks are always tasty! (even though they charged to chill a shot of tequila! Insert eyeroll) Staff is always friendly and for the most part (outdoor bar mostly) its always clean! Thanks again and see you soon!
We wanted to try something new while avoiding the new round about on Alt 19. Our curiosity led us to Bogota Kitchen & bar. It looked inviting with wide open porches, large fans and an indoor "air-conditioned" bar. It is, but you're fighting the window open to the outside. We sat at the bar, with a couple of regulars while we ordered our drinks and food. Service wasn't the fastest, but we weren't in any hurry and the folks are all busy doing a lot of different things. We were ok. We ordered a sweet and Unsweetened, a vodka double cra, top shelf, Tito's. We got grouper nuggets, I got the house special, which is half a Cuban and half an Ybor city salad. My guy ordered the brisket tacos. The food? It's really good. The grouper nuggets had some kind of sauce which was good, not too hot, and complimented the pineapple dipping sauce. The salad was a damn fine rendition of that other place's signature salad for less! That's awesome and the Cuban was legitimately delicious. My guy had 2 flour tacos stuffed with juicy brisket that he did not want to put down. He said it was delicious. Will we come back? Yes! Yes indeed we will
Our server , Alexi was great! I ordered shrimp and grits .... being a Southern girl I know my grits ... they did not use grits - they tasted like cream of wheat.... exactly like cream of wheat. I asked my server if she could find out.... she never did tell me.... No answer is the answer, isn't it? The potatoes were the best thing - they were crunchy on the outside and soft inside with a pesto sauce it was great. The Bloody Mary's and Bellinis were BOGO but... both came out at the same time ... so ice was melted in 2nd one. I would come back on a Sunday for the GREAT jazz band , potatoes and alcohol.... just because the band was so good. But with the BOGO drink specials be sure to ask them to hold the 2nd one until your ready. I really was truly hoping the food would have been better!
I've been wanting to visit Bogota for close to a month. My Bride and myself were able to have a nice leisurely lunch here on a Wednesday afternoon. We both decided on the Cuban sandwich, I had the full sandwich, and my Bride the half sandwich with a summer salad. It's an unusual day when my Bride finishes a meal, well today was that day she enjoyed the salad very much and the Tampa style Cuban she said was delicious although she did have to modify the sandwich by putting pieces of lettuce into her sandwich, what can I say that's how she likes things. BTW, The summer salad reminded me very much of the Columbian restaurants 1905 salad. My Cuban sandwich was well constructed with all the correct fillings. Came with some tortilla chips and dipping sauce, which had a bit of a kick to it. It also came with a pickle. I had a side of black beans and rice which was absolutely delicious. I couldn't finish it all. I highly recommend stopping by and enjoying their Cuban sandwich. I know I will.

I had two tacos, one shrimp and one chicken. They were ok. Just ok. Nothing wrong with them but not real flavorful. I also had a $6 margarita. Again, ok. Overall, a nice cheap snack but I want to go on another night to see how regular service is and how a drink is when it is not premade for mass service. Bartender was slammed fulfilling orders for serves but still attentive to customers at the bar so that was the best thing. Definitely hard working folks!
Interesting twist on the shrimp and grits, chorizo is added to give it just a bit of a kick ... it was good. Which made up for the Sante Fe burrito ... what was served didn't match the menu description ... some ingredients were missing and others added that weren't on the menu ... not bad but not as favorable as I expected. Anyway I came for the live music, smooth jazz! The music as on point but a bit soft so try to sit close to the musicians. Definitely a nice neighborhood type of spot with plenty of covered outdoor seating. Will definitely come back, especially for the music
It's called Bogota, but it's not a Latin restaurant I think. Most of the food that they have is American food. The drinks was OK. Nothing special good selection of beer. I only give this place four stars because of the music. I've been here twice, and the music was fantastic. Live music.
We are definitely going back on Taco Tuesday! For $2, we got fresh beef and chicken tacos on soft flour tortillas that were delicious. The $5 margarita was small and potent. Our wait staff was good and friendly. It was a little breezy outside - only seating inside was at the bar. We wore hoodies, and we sat farther back in the patio area, so that helped. Parking can be difficult, especially on a "specials" night, but we got there at 5 and had no problem. By 6:30, folks were waiting for tables - and parking spots. Wednesday special is $5 burgers and $1 beers. We'll probably try them next Wednesday, when it's not Ash Wednesday (no meat for this one). It will definitely be warmer, too!
I love this place, especially for brunch. My only complaint however, is that the mimosas are unbelievably small. They come in an 8oz cup that are half full. They're buy one get one, but it's still a little disappointing. The staff is always super friendly, and they often have a jazz band on the weekends for some extra brunch ambiance. It's a really cool spot, and definitely worth checking out!
Fantastic local place to eat. Nice and clean, excellent food and the prices are right! I especially recommend going on a taco Tuesday!! $2 chicken tacos, $3 beef or shrimp tacos, $5 margaritas (not pre mixed which is a huge plus), and $5 shots of patron!!! Hurry up and check this place out for sure!!

We went to the Bogata kitchen and bar last night to see a particular band that we like (Julie Black). The ambience is interesting with mostly outdoor seating. However, the service was abominable. Although we got drinks pretty quickly, we sat for another half hour before the waitress actually took our order after having stopped at the table several times and telling us she'd be right back. The table next to me didn't get served for 40 minutes. The food was mediocre at best. Also, the website shows an extensive menu of specials, which was pretty interesting but when we asked about them, we were told they haven't had those in years. So the website needs to be updated. Would not return except to see the entertainment. Maybe go later for drinks. The place has a lot of potential. Must've been cute at one time, but needs to be cleaned up.

Good location and spread out place with outdoor seating and an indoor/outside bar in downtown Palm Harbor area for great Latin food. Good 20 tap draft beer choices. For light lunch I come in for a beer and Masitas de Cerdo - juicy pork chunks with loads of onions, garlic and sea salt - delicious and ample portion. read more

-We went to a Santa Brunch today. It was colder than expected but they tried to add as many heaters as possible. Alex was our server and he was trying his best, with the cards he was given. Santa looked amazing. -Instead of Xmas cheer the ambiance was bitter, cold and angry. -Mimosas were made with some gritty OJ powder. -Food took 2 hours to come out -when it did come out it looked really unappealing. I cannot comment on taste because we left. -My Boodymary was so pose to come out with an empanada but it didn't. -The place only had 5-6 tables. Not sure why they were slammed in the kitchen. -They had a family Santa brunch with no hot chocolate and no brunch menu for kids.... At first they said they weren't even serving a kids menu. Had reservations waited for service, beverage service was at best very minimal! Had to ask for drink, who's going to wait on us and so on !!! Ambiance nice table read more

The Tampa Cuban is a must try as is the Beef or Chicken Picadillo. The Picadillo is a great combination of tomatoes Spanish olives, golden raisins and garlic. Wonderfully balanced especially when served with authentic black beans and yellow rice. Service is awesome. . Alicia the bartender knows her menu well and is a great guide to best things to try for first timers. Tons of outdoor seating and the female singer today has a beautiful voice. Finished the meal off with beautifully caramelized Maduros sweet plantains as the perfect dessert for me. read more

What a charming spot to eat some delicious Colombian/ Latin food!! Have been there twice and will be going back! Good customer service, beautiful wrap around porch with lots of seatings outside and they even had a band playing on Friday night! For our drinks, we had a margarita and a Sangria. Both good! For an appetizer, we had the chicken and the beef empanadas and they were crispy, well seasoned and delicious! For dinner, I chose the Ropa Vieja and he chose the beef picadillo. They were accompanied by yellow rice (our choice), black beans and plantains. For the picadillo, he chose the yuca fries instead. They did not charge extra. Everything was hot and tasty! We were safely distant from other tables and everything was clean. They are open until late, but double check before going! Def a good spot to try! read more

I had a great conversation with a local. That was the highlight of my visit here. I did not eat, so IDK about the grub. As far as the service goes, the bartender was not friendly. She did her thing and spoke to just one customer. Oh well, it is what it is. read more

This restaurant doesn't understand the concept of service. Not only that, they have a fake singer reading lyrics from a map. Steer clear from this mop slop. But still, I don't understand how I'm so happy!! read more
We had early doctors appointments and no time for breakfast before, so after the doctors we went for brunch at Bogota. He had the classic breakfast plate and i had the Cuban sunrise. Everything was perfect and delicious! The place is all decked out for Fall (oops forgot to take a photo) Brian our server was very attentive and helpful and a great time was had by all. Oh BTW the award for the best Bloody Mary is well deserved I loved it and the empanada on top is fabulous. read more

This is an update from my previous review. We heard No Filter was going to be paying at Bogata again. The first time we went, the concert was great but the venue was ill prepared for the amount of business they experienced. The service was less than par. To their credit, they comped our bill and we gave our worn out server a huge tip, because she honestly tried. Since then, friends have seen No Fileter at Bogata and raved about what a great time they had. So, we gave it another shot and we were astounded by the change!! Talk about an amazing time!! The service was impeccable!! Paris and Devin were spot on with everything and took fantastic care of us! We will be going back again and I will definitely ask for Paris's section when we do! read more

I checked out Bogota at 1pm on a Saturday. We had an amazing experience from start to finish. The young gentleman that seated us told us that he would be waiting on us as well. He took our drink orders immediately and was ready to take our food order before we were ready to give it. He patiently answered any questions we had. He even made a recommendation (which my friend ended up ordering). I went with the Eleuthera Island Bowl which has rice, black beans, roasted corn, pineapple salsa, plantains, and Carribean jerk chicken. It was immensely flavorful. It was a little on the sweeter side as it had a lot of pineapple in it (the pineapple salsa was homemade with actual pineapple), but well balanced overall. The chicken was divine. It tasted like it was smoked with bbq sauce and not "Carribean", but this was not a bad thing. It was also a lot of food. I ended up taking about half of it home. My friend tried to order the Poke, but they did not have it. She went with the Havana Cuban instead. It had roasted pork, gouda, onions, chipotle mayo, and guava jam. She ordered yucca fries with it (I will say that our waiter did not mention there was a $1.99 up-charge for that.. he presented it like it was an included option). I tried a small bite of each of her items. The Cuban was delicious. I tend to prefer a traditional Cuban... but I kind of wanted more of this one. I would order it. The Yucca fries were not impressive in my opinion, but I only had a small bite of one (I had plenty of my own food). She finished most of them. The ambiance was really nice. We sat at a table outside and talked while we ate. Most of the outdoor seating area is covered. They have fans set up and there was a nice breeze even in the Florida summer heat. We both agreed that we want to come back and try more of the menu options. read more
