She quoted us the wrong price and then cornered my father at the wedding demanding $900 more! She claimed to not have known about different things we requested; though we had multiple conversations about the fact that there would be alcoholic beverages served and that we would be renting table clothes. She claimed this never happened and they had no idea until the day before. They also never got us a contract and would take several days before returning phone calls. We were told there would be staff to help with set up and take down and no one was there. Included in the wedding package was a breakfast for the couple the next morning, this never happened and when I asked Vicki about it, she said no one said anything about it so she didn't do it. If it's part of your package, why would the bride and groom need to check with you to make sure it's happening?! The outside area of the lodge was also dirty, we had to sweep and pick up fishing gear and clean windows and dump bird baths. There was supposed to be a beach where we could take pictures, but it was completely overgrown and unkempt; there's no way a bride in a long dress could have walked down there. The wedding was beautiful and went off without a hitch, but no thanks to the lodge owners and staff! NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE!!

Their professionalism, kindness, and hard work made the trip even more memorable. Each day brought incredible wildlife sightings, including bald eagles soaring overhead, ospreys, an otter, great blue herons, merganssers, and bighorn sheep. A friend and I went by van ride up to the launch in Wallowa and went forward into the wilderness of the Blue mountains. This is geologically beautiful country with magical rock formations thronged by big horn sheep - we saw a group of 20 that entertained us across the river at camp. The fishing was fantastic. Half of the fish were around 14 inches up to right around 20 inches. These are highly capable broad-shouldered fish. Captain Grant, Captain Bobby, and First Mate Callen capably led our expedition. The well-trained and yet affectionate dogs put a cherry on top. Highly recommended. I effing love Oregon. They have a rail ride too.
