Oh my! This review is several years overdue. I've been seeing Bruno for many years now. I've seen…read moremy share of BodyWorkers and I can say that Bruno is among the VERY best. I use to only see female massage therapists, but I feel extremely safe in the container Bruno sets during our sessions. I see him out of his home office usually 2x/month for 90 min (I think this is a better deal and can get more accomplished versus just 60 min). His intuitive nature is highly on point. He seems to sense exactly what I need. He is healing (I think) on an energetic level as well although I'm not sure if he advertises that. I feel energetically shifted after a session with him. When I have out-of town guests I try and get them in to see him if possible. They all say he is the best BW they have had, perhaps ever. Run, don't walk. His schedule fills up quickly!

He was very sensitive to the amount of pressure he applied, making sure i was okay with it and going for the full 90 minutes is recommended. The 60 minutes is good don't get me wrong, but it seems to fly really fast. The 90 minutes I felt as though he was able to give a better message and focus on certain areas, giving them the time they needed. I went for a bunch of visits and would definitely recommend him to anyone. He's very welcoming, gets to know you a little bit, and then gives you a great massage. That's what I call the whole package.

I was referred to Corey by a friend. I was expressing unhappiness with my other massage experiences…read morebecause I'm a bodybuilder, and the therapists never seem to be able to do much beyond a superficial rub-down. Even when I expressed specific areas that needed attention, I'd always end up with the same full-body massage. It just wasn't helping with my sports issues. I've been so happy with Corey. He understands what my body needs as an athlete and really digs into the problem areas to release those parts. My experiences with him are always magic and I'm shocked at my increased flexibility in the days after a session with him. I'd definitely recommend him for site-specific issues you may have, or if you've just not been getting the kind of relief you'd like from other massage experiences. He listens to what you need and seeks out triggers that will help your whole body relax.

I heard about Corey and Tact Massage from Lonna, who is a chiropractor in the same building…read more Booking a session was very easy and I really appreciated the fact that I didn't need to put down my credit card to guarantee the booking: it gave me a first clue of what kind of person Corey is. I didn't really have any health complaints, but I like getting massages: it is one hour where I can just let my thoughts drift and have someone else take care of me. Like many people, I associate massage with relaxation and spa-like surrounding. The stereo-typical massage therapist is dressed in some white clothes and oozes sensuality and well-being. Corey and his practice is different; different in good way though. When I arrived for my appointment, I was greeted by a what I associated with a typical San Franciscan, dressed in a plaid shirt and a big commuter rucksack; he probably had just biked to his practice. He then told me a little bit about what I'd be expecting over the next hour, before I got ready for the actual massage. I then expected him to start "massaging" my body, but instead I witnessed how his hands applied light pressure on my back. While doing so, he commented on areas that he thought were a bit tight and/or needed some attention. After that, I pretty much let him do "his thing". I had complete trust in him...in fact, I apparently fell asleep at various times during the session. (Corey said something along the lines of: "I noticed that when I'd just relieved the tension on various sections of your body, I noticed you started to snore lightly...") After the session, Corey walked me through what he'd done and he pointed to various muscles on the anatomy chart on the wall next to the massage table. I can only agree with all the other Yelpers, especially Kevin N, who says: "Corey is an intellectual who combines his academic knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology with his natural gift of tactile memory." I also liked that Corey didn't do the guilt trip on me that I associate with some other massage therapists. Something like: "Oh, your body is really tense and I think we should see each other on a regular basis. In other words: your body is a total mess and I can help you fix it." Corey simply said that it would probably be good for me to come back for another session and work on some other areas, but that in general I'm in pretty good shape. I liked every bit of my visit: but mostly the fact that Corey is just a cool dude who knows his shit and makes me feel good!

With ligament damage to both shoulders, disc damage in my neck and low back pain Kampol has delivered a measure of relief that surpassed all other providers. Please don't confuse his methods with the serenity peaceful imagery of massage generally portrayed in advertisements; this is by no means the spa experience one might expect. He is very intuitive in finding how to address the physical issues I face. That being said, there is some discomfort during the sessions however the breathing techniques he reminds me of and the relief after more than makes up for the momentary discomfort. This is the epitome of "good pain". Over the past several months my range of motion has greatly improved in my shoulders and hips and the remarkable decrease in my headaches from my disc issue has made life a whole lot easier. He uses a blend of techniques including deep tissue work, Swedish massage, heat (he makes use of hot towels in a way that feels utterly therapeutic), natural balms, reflexology, aromatherapy, and breathing exercises. He does all these things 100% and then some. His services are totally affordable. He works with athletes, pregnant women, elderly folk, and anyone just needing a massage. I reluctantly submit this review just because Taylor works too much! His fees are too reasonable for the high quality of his work. He's been a long standing local business with a great reputation.
