I am more than satisfied with my treatment here. My treatment lasted for about 8 months with three different therapists Antigne, Lindsay (Oak Brook) and Rebecca (Wheaton), all who were exceptional in investigating the source and solution to my "pain package" aggravated from several abdominal surgeries and chronic long time pain I had even before for that. Their knowledge of the Manual Therapy technique seemed to be the icing on the cake that other practices and my Dr.'s didn't even have on their radar. I'm incredibly grateful for all three of these therapists an their co workers! Rebecca was the icing on the cake. My hip and back walking pain is gone and my sitting pain is minimal and manageable. Rebecca gave me home techniques to correct and nip bad habits that aggravate my pain. Rebecca's experience with women's issues and head and neck treatment for hip pain were such an aha part of my treatment. Excellent care! I will be back for my knee pain soon. I give them 5 stars for results. Be warned that their payment process is cumbersome to navigate for their patients. They require a CC on file as payment upfront which did not marry well with my insurance process and flex spending account. It was a bit tricky and time consuming to track and retrieve my reimbursements and I'm pretty sure despite watching it closely I missed some reimbursements because it bounces back wanting more documentation and gets confusing and adds up on the CC before flex spending come through. Too stressful and a barrier to treatment for some I know. Ideally I need them to submit to my insurance and then I bill me for uncovered costs that I would then use my flex card for. I sincerely appreciate their knowledge, time and expertise. My appointments were always thorough and effective and on time. read more

I came to Dynamic Physical Therapy 12 weeks post op from a hip labral tear/femoroacetabular impingement repair. My surgeon recommended I see this group after wasting those 12 weeks with another group who missed some key red flags with my recovery. Within minutes, Brad Murison was able to figure out one of my many issues and compensatory patterns, and the improvements began. My road to recover has been bumpy; as a mom to many young children, I have developed some not-so-great habits with core activation and overall posture. When they say it takes a village, they mean it. Between Brad, Rebecca Johnson, and a few other observing PTs (watching me walk, etc.) we were able to isolate where my issues were. Rebecca helped tremendously with my visceral issues from having multiple pregnancies, and Brad worked endlessly at helping my hip regain its range of motion, breaking up adhesions the other PT place missed, etc. I never thought I'd have cups placed up and down my leg, but it made a huge difference. I now feel like there is hope for recovery from this daunting, arduous surgery. What I love about them is the total body approach. Sure, my hip was injured and surgery fixed the mechanics. However, without realizing how weak my core, glutes, and hamstrings had gotten, I would have never realized how much it impacts the overall recovery. I'm a lifetime runner, and I'm hoping I can return to some sort of active running again; with this group, I feel like I stand a chance. Dynamic Physical therapists are Rock Stars. They put their hearts and their extensive and on-going education and training into healing every patient. Last year, I suffered with plantar fasciitis. Chiropractic treatment temporarily alleviated some of the pain, but did not correct the problem. Jerod and Zach, applied their extensive knowledge and solved the problem. Thanks, Guys! I can walk and run again, no problem! This year I experienced ongoing pain on my lower right back, especially on the road bike. Then, portaging my kayak in a race, I severely pulled my low right back. I couldn't even stand straight without pain. Jerod followed the problem, resolving area, by area, low back: SI, QL; front: psoas, iliacus; hip, glute. He used techniques he's long used and some he just learned. (He had just returned from a cool training out of state. All therapists take additional courses on a regular basis). I followed up with the strengthening exercises he gave me. That incredibly obtrusive, constantly nagging pain, is now completely gone. Now I sit evenly on the saddle, getting full range of motion with every pedal stroke. No more dipping unevenly (and completely unconsciously) to one side because my right side was so tight. Thanks, Jerod! I have been going here for physical therapy for some time now, and can honestly say they are responsible for me walking without a cane and without pain. I suffer from several different diseases that affect connective tissue and muscles, and after trying many different physical therapy providers, chiropractors and surgeons, I was convinced that life with a wheelchair and assistive devices was my fate. I was only 39 years old, had been in that state for a few years, and had given up hope. My doctor referred me here, convincing me to try these folks -- and my world changed. I am not only walking, I am working on a return to sports (roller skating!). Rebecca is my hero, as are all the excellent therapists in this practice. I suffered a broken back from a car accident and had been living with daily pain for over a year and a half. After surgeries, meds, PT and different therapies, I had pretty much come to the conclusion that this was my new norm...that I would never be active again and never done with pain. I recently started seeing Rebecca Johnson, at the Body Gears Wheaton location. She specializes in women's health (certification as a Functional Manual Therapist™ through the Institute of Physical Art (IPA). I LOVE HER! After experiencing chronic pelvic, hip and back pain for 8 years, I FINALLY found Rebecca. I have done many other therapies (physical therapy, aqua therapy, cranio sacral, chiropractic, rolfing, somatic therapy, you name it!) and NONE helped me as much as Rebecca has in just 3 sessions. She is very knowledgeable about women's health and the female body. Also, at my last visit, I had to take my 6 year old daughter due to my sitter cancelling last minute. The office staff and Rebecca could not have been more kind and understanding. They never even blinked when I walked in with her. I am so happy I found this office and Rebecca! Kane is an outstanding physical therapist and truly cares about you and your recovery. He is extremely thorough, patient and excellent at explaining every step of your recovery plan. He gives you his undivided attention during your session and is such a nice and genuine person. Sharing knowledge was just as important to him as recovery. I am leaving with many self help techniques that I am so grateful for. I looked forward to my visits, the whole staff makes you feel welcome. It was comforting to know the team of therapist care and want you to succeed in recovery! Brad, Rebecca and April provided excellent assistance. The entire staff is top notch, the receptionist Johanna is so sweet and courteous. The assistants James and Bo really want to make sure you perform the exercises properly. They keep the facility clean and sanitized. Words can not express how grateful I am for all the help I've received. I am active and athletic, and I recently had my 3rd ACL surgery. I spent a couple of months of physical therapy at a large local health center where my therapist would work on several other clients simultaneously to me with minimal supervision. My knee was not recovering, I was in pain most of the day, and there was talk from the clinician of knee replacement and stoping most physical activity. I sought out Body Gears after researching alternatives. The staff at Body Gears were very encouraging. I worked with Kane and was usually his only client, he researched and created a treatment plan specific for me. He worked on addressing the causes of my injury while rehabbing my knee. He educated me on the dynamics of my body and tangible ways to restore functioning in my knee while providing me with the appropriate tools to recover. This is no exaggeration: Rebecca and her team have changed my life. My body has been broken in one way, then another, for YEARS. Decades. In 2012 I under went bypass surgery, now 4 yrs later in 2016 I went to Body gears from my wife's "strong" recommendation to see Rebecca about a sciatic nerve issue. Over the past few weeks, not only has Rebecca helped in untangling my nerves , she has helped me correct myself from surgery 4 yrs ago, I thought after the bypass surgery that the way "I felt" and the area from the surgery was how I would always feel, she corrected all of that feeling, breathing and alignment. I must say, it was an overwhelming and emotional release. I have never been a fan of being worked on or touched but with that said, Rebecca is a remarkable PT, she makes you feel completely at ease, has an incredible energy that transfers to her patients to make them work to improve. Lindsay is an incredible PT! She treated myself for frozen shoulder & tennis elbow and my 11 year old daughter for a soccer knee injury. She is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but extremely patient and thoughtful. She would always take the time to explain to us exactly what method she was using to treat our injuries and would even take the time to show us in a book what exactly was going on with the pain that we were having and how she was going to treat it. She was genuinely concerned about our well being and wanted to do everything possible to eliminate our pain. As an older individual (60 yrs), I tried for too long to wait for my upper hamstring pull to heal itself. I like working out. Per my daughter's recommendation, I made an appointment with Brad at Body Gears in Wheaton. I had never been to PT before. After several PT appointments, I am essentially pain-free with my upper hamstring injury. And I have much better mobility. I am back to working out and running like before. Body Gears is the BEST place to go for physical therapy. They not only assess the "symptom" but also look deeper into the cause and strengthen any weaknesses along the way. You get a customized manual therapy for a good portion of your therapy and then great exercises to finish the session. I am a massage therapist who injured my arm and worked with Brad in the Wheaton office. He addressed everything from my core to my neck to my posture to my injury site. I have had physical therapy several times before in different places but have never had such thorough, careful, attention and therapy as I had at Body Gears. My therapist Brad studied my back muscles and worked on the ones that needed help. The therapy assistants were careful to help me do my exercises correctly and safely. Everyone gave clear instructions. Everyone was nice and friendly. I am feeling better and know now how to continue working with my back to prevent the pain and strengthen my back muscles. April and Sarah worked on my knees and ankles for the past 4 mos in order to get me through my marathon training. They are awesome couldn't have done it without them. I've got my fair share of problems and old injuries that slow me down so I was so glad to have their help in making it through my first marathon. I injured myself at work. I didn't think it was that bad, but my doctor wanted me to be certain. Brad and The team at Body Gears were absolutely amazing!! I went in with a lower back injury, they did a thorough assessment and after 4 appointments I ended a month later feeling great! The team was professional, the office was clean, and they were on point. My back feels the best it ever has, considering this is my second time for the same injury. Many thanks to Brad and the team at Body Gears in Wheaton. I'm 67, and had been diagnosed with age, work and related back, shoulder and hip mobility issues.
