I sought services from DPT Evanston after my second total knee replacement. My case was not simple and straightforward as I had crushing headaches and recurring issues with the first knee. I was assigned to Allison. To Michael K.'s and Chuck H.'s comments, I can will add that Allison's best skills include thinking on her feet and problem-solving. We were able to pursue the goals of my treatment plan despite interruptions from the headaches and issues with the first knee. I liked that I had to work very hard under her care. Nonetheless, I sometimes didn't feel heard, as I rarely finished answering her questions, which came at me at a rapid fire pace. I didn't receive the encouragement I needed until I asked, and there were few pleasantries, which left me regretting that my other issues were a constant source of frustration. Ultimately, I chose to find care elsewhere. Allison is extremely competent technically. She is intelligent and confident. Often, however, patients need more from a therapist in order to complete a treatment plan.
Like Michael K., I also received help from Ben. He has a positive and steady temperament, and is very helpful and professional. I hope in time he gets his full credentials as he would be very good with patient care. The Evanston location also had up and coming interns/parttime help in Quin, Will, and Zoe. They had great energy and were a pleasure to work with! read more
