Dr. Joe is truly amazing. My husband went to him a few months ago in a lot of pain. My husband suffers from degenerative disc disease and sometimes his hip pops out of place which causes him a ton of pain. He was able to help my husband get back to normal life quickly. Onto me - I threw my back out a few weeks ago and just couldn't get myself out of pain so booked an appointment since I saw how much he helped my husband. Dr. Joe is seriously so kind and caring and is extremely gentle with his adjustments. I've always been a huge advocate for Chiropractors, but some of them I feel try to take advantage of people by trying to tell them they need to come in so often. Dr. Joe does not work like that, thankfully. He teaches you how to heal a lot of your pain on your own which I love. Doing what he taught me in conjunction with my appointments, he was able to get me feeling better extremely fast. I love that he combines various different types of therapy. My old Chiropractor only did adjustments, no massages, or anything else. Hands down Dr. Joe is better than my old Chiropractor by a landslide and combining different types of therapy have helped me so much. Dr Joe and his staff are awesome! I was referred to him by friends who have a long history of competitive running or dancing. We all stay pretty active but as we age it's become more difficult. He's smart and creative, using new techniques to help his patients. I came in complaining of hip pain, he figured out my lower back is causing the issue. Ladies as we age the pelvic floor becomes weak or the abs become distended, especially if you've had kids or hernias or abdominal surgeries. The body is really all a connected unit so if pain is felt in one location the cause could be coming from somewhere else. Dr Joe will figure it out! He recommends exercises for strengthening and stretches for in between appts. After a massage and adjustment I'm good as new. I started a few months ago with appts every week, now I'm down to weekly, hopefully I can get down to monthly soon. My doctor from DuPage Medical Group recommended Russeau Team HealthCare. I was a bit surprised that a medical doctor was so enthusiastic about a chiropractor, but she explained the success Dr. Russeau was having with some of her patients and was quite complimentary of his methods. I have been having hip/low back issues (stenosis, etc.) for several years. Been to two physical therapy practices, had two epidural injections, numerous hip injections, and a lot of pain medication during this time. I was hopeful, but reserved. I have no issues going to a chiropractor and have gone to several in the past with varying results. However, my pain management specialist requested that I NOT go to a chiropractor, so I didn't. Dr. Russeau assessed me verbally and physically. Nothing too intense. He had me try certain movements and give him feedback all the while. He did not adjust me on that first visit, but had me work with Jen, the physical therapist. Jen had me perform various mini-exersices...nothing overly strenuous. She also assessed my pain and range of movement. With Dr. Russeau, she put together a plan for treatment. I left the office feeling pretty good. I was sore the next day, but dutifully completed the exercises the team had put together for me over the next couple days. Incredibly, I felt relief! I was nervous that it was all in my head, but it was becoming clear that the pain has diminished for real and my mobility was increasing. The only problem I had now was a very painful spot on my back by my ribs. For months, I had lived with this sharp pain. I tried massaging it, heat, cold, etc. Nothing seemed to take the edge off. Of course, I went right to thinking I had lung cancer or a huge kidney stone! LOL On my next visit, I mentioned it to Dr. Russeau. He was not too concerned, saying that he would fix it. He explained that moving differently sometimes exacerbated other issues and not to worry about it. He believed that it was a rib - where it connects to the spine, so he did a quick adjustment. I almost cried in relief! It felt better IMMEDIATELY. What a difference!! I've visited the office twice. His goal is to fix what ails you in six visits or less. He made it clear that this was not a lifetime commitment! LOL If he can't help you in six visits, he will reassess and decide upon a different course of action. This practice is amazing. I will tell everyone I know about it. I FINALLY got some relief after years of suffering and believing that I had to live in pain. I don't! Highly recommended! read more

I would highly recommend Dr. Kevin Russeau and his staff to anyone who has having muscle or joint pain problems. Russeau Team Health Care is not your traditional chiropractor. Take it from me -- a skeptic who had never been to a chiropractor ever -- but I had heard good things about them, so I thought I'd give them a try because of my back pain. Don't expect to go here and for someone to "crack your back" and then you're good to go. Over my six visits there, the staff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable, with Dr. Russeau clearly explaining his expectations at the beginning during his initial evaluation, checking my progress mid-way, and then re-evaluating me at the conclusion of my treatment. I learned stretches, exercises and tools to change my bad habits that had led to my back pain. No expensive pills, no awkward cracking of joints, none of that. I even ended up buying a small rubber band and foam roller from them so I could continue my exercises at home ($3 for the rubber band, $25 for the foam roller). I am now pain free and it feels great! I even got a thank you letter the day after my final appointment. The only thing I think they could improve on is that my trainer got switched twice, which was a surprise, but there was no drop in quality or job knowledge. Depending on your medical plan, my PPO covered everything with $30 co-pays for each visit. I highly recommend you give Dr. Russeau and his team a try. read more

I went to Dr. Russeau because he is trust worthy. He is the first chiropractor practice, where his goal is to get you out of his office in a few visits. Other practices want you to be a patient for years. I went to see Dr. Russeau for a second opinion before having an operation. Usually chiropractors never want you to have a operation. During our first meeting, after reading my films, he confirmed I needed a operation. From there, I trusted him. When I needed some rehab, I went back to Dr. Russeau's practice. My primary doctor from DuPage Medical Group, told me last year that there is only one chiropractor he would ever recommend and that is Dr. Russeau. I asked why. I'm recommending him because his treatment has really helped me... I have to say I was pretty skeptical about going to a chiropractor (always thought they were witchdoctors). However, recently a colleague of mine was in a car accident and was suffering from back/neck pain. He too was initially skeptical, but said that he was helped immensely by a chiropractor. Shortly after, I hurt my back (sports related) and decided I would have a chiropractor take a look at it. It was a very different experience than I expected. Before we started, he explained his process and philosophy, which I really appreciated. Basically he strives to educate patients on how to help themselves. He evaluated me and determined that the cause of my pain was muscular. I did not get any back cracking or adjustments or anything like that, but instead over 6 visits after a quick evaluation by the doctor I had physical therapy sessions (thank you Jen and Tom!). We developed a daily regimen of stretches and exercises to help strengthen my muscles that help stabilize or divert stress from the spine. We also talked about and practiced how to maintain good posture throughout the day and avoid harmful movements. After becoming conscious of it I was surprised by how often I contort my back! After those 6 visits, and (mostly) keeping up with my daily routine, I am drastically better. It's amazing what a difference these little things have made. Couldn't be happier with my experience here, and I'm so glad I didn't end up going somewhere that would have cracked my back and sent me on my way. read more

I had a great experience at Dr. Russeau's office. I had never been to a chiropractor before so I was a little skeptical at my first visit. I had been diagnosed with a herniated disc about 9 months before my first visit. I had received physical therapy from 2 different facilities prior to Dr. Russeau (a total of 5 months of PT) and it had been completely unsuccessful. In fact, it had made my problem much worse. However, Dr. Russeau told me that he was confident that my problems would be solved in 6 appointments. And without any manual adjustments. This eased my mind because I was nervous about having my back cracked. Over the next few weeks, I received a massage every time I went and intensive PT. The PT was phenomenal. I cannot say enough good things about Tom and Lisa. Tom immediately identified postural problems and taught me ways to improve those. After that, he identified which areas of my body were weak/tight and gave me exercises and stretches to fix those problems. I now am virtually pain-free and I am so much more optimistic about prognosis. I still do the exercises that they gave me, but they are far from time-consuming and they really help my back feel great. I have 4 strengthening exercises that I do, I use a foam roller for ~10 mins every day, and I have 3 stretches. That's it! It takes about 30 mins a day to keep my back feeling great. Occasionally my back still bothers me, but I generally just spend a little bit more time stretching or doing the exercises and it feels better the next day. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I was fairly sore (not a good sore, a painful sore) after every massage. I didn't enjoy the massage part at all. But it's optional luckily. read more

Outstanding advice and counsel to my 16-year-old athletic son (who won't listen to me, ha!). Jen did fabulous with the physical therapy. The massage really got to the problem, and yes, he was sore for one day after, just like they told us. My son feels better, but more importantly, learned great skills for posture, exercise, weight lifting that he will carry forward in the future. The front desk - extremely organized and friendly. Absolute regret seeing this doctor. My diagnosis was correct, but my therapy treatment was illegitimate. Don't plan on being adjusted, but having an obscure at home treatment plan that doesn't work. The doctor will have you meet with a "trained" personal trainer that lacks any technical knowledge of the body except for what she read on the internet. I went to see Dr. Joe Papuga after having extremely bad pain in my neck/shoulders and low back due to herniated disc issues. I'd previously tried several other forms of therapy including steroid injections, physical therapy, massage and acupuncture without experiencing any lasting relief. However, after just a few sessions with Dr. Papuga my range of motion has improved significantly and the pain has faded. I've really liked that he does more than just chiropractic adjustments as he also incorporates rehab exercises and massage into each session. Absolutely incredible doctor who provides expert and compassionate care. Dr. Russeau really knows his stuff and he knows how to explain it to an ordinary client like me.
