He took a ton of X-rays and spent a good hour with me looking at all the possible injuries I could have sustained. It turns out this latest thing was a severe case of tendonitis in my left foot- right where the big toe meets the foot. Dr. got me back on track in only 3 weeks with the help of a prescription and a walking boot. I managed to only miss a few weeks of marathon training thanks to Dr. Leitzen's conservative approach. He started scaring me with all the bad stuff that could happen, and telling me if r MRI results are bad I may need surgery. I said I won't do surgery. . . I said I have a chiropractor and massage therapist. He said don't see your chiropractor till after the MRI. She might mess it up. the next day my massage therapist worked on the cuboid bone in my foot. That was the cause of the foot problem. I had tight muscles in my thigh which made the leg seem weaker. It was a very odd visit with DR. Pastore. I had the feeling he was trying to push me into medical solutions for things that could be easily remedied by my long time chiropractor and massage therapist.
