When we started at Rush Pediatric Therapy, our 4-year-old son was non-verbal and severely delayed, struggling to achieve milestone that most of an 18-month-old level per CDC milestones. After his initial assessment, the team agreed he needed 30+ hours of weekly ABA therapy to support his development. Unfortunately, Rush consistently failed to deliver. Despite the agreed-upon plan, our son never received more than 17 hours per week, even during summer sessions it was decreased even further down to just 13 hours. Early intervention is critical for autistic children to build essential skills in communication, cognition, and social development, as emphasized by every autism support group we've joined. Rush's inability to provide the recommended therapy hours has hindered our son's progress. Worse, Rush made recommendations that seemed contrary to his best interests, such as reducing his weekly hours after he missed a few days over a couple of weeks or allowing their therapist make medical diagnosis when they have no training to diagnose medical conditions. This lack of commitment and follow-through has been deeply disappointing. We expected a center dedicated to supporting autistic children to prioritize their needs, but Rush fall far short of that standard. read more

Samir and his amazing team here at Activa have been with me through enough unfortunate accidents to last a lifetime! Originally, I came here after a motorcycle accident that resulted in a completely torn PCL. This made me unable to live not only the extremely active lifestyle I was used to (lifting, krav maga, and rock climbing), but to even walk without pain. Halfway through treating my knee, I was rear-ended by a drunk driver, resulting in whiplash that has taken almost an year to treat. Through it all, the Activa team helped me navigate my treatments and were there for me as emotional support as well. After experiencing recurrent pain from a previous injury. I scheduled an appointment with my pain specialist. After an evaluation he wrote me a script for physical therapy. I visited the place Activa Physical Therapy  as suggested right after my appointment with my pain specialist. I meet the therapist Sameer right away. I also inquired about being in network. Everything seemed like a fit. I  said I would call them to make my 1st appointment. When I  called, the receptionist was unable to schedule me and indicated the therapist would call me when he got back from lunch. Sameer did call, and said he could see me the next day @3:30pm. He said the appointment would be about 45 min. He told me to bring my Drivers license, prescription, and my insurance card. I arrived outside at 3:25pm. I While preparing my sitter to sit with my 6week old and 4 yrs old in the car. I made sure I had everything he requested I bring. I walked in the door at 3:36pm. The therapist comes up to me and says I can see you today but only for 15 maybe 20 min. I was given paperwork and that was supposed to take 10 min to fill out. I glanced around the two therapy tables were occupied and two more patients arrived while I filled out my paperwork which took 5min. It was clear to me that they were overbooked for the day. I asked Sameer to explain to me how arriving 7min after my scheduled appointment reduced my 45min session so drastically his response was your appointment was at 330pm and you had paperwork to fill out. I stated no one asked me to arrive earlier for paperwork I was outside I could have come in if I had been told about paperwork. Then he made the statement he needs his time to be valued. I asked so bc I came in 7min after my scheduled appointment how does that imply I don't value your time. At this point I  knew I would not use his services. read more

I feel very fortunate to have been referred to treat with Samir at Activa. Over the last 15 years I have easily been treated by nearly 20 physical therapists , and by far he has been the best I have ever worked with. Samir is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, compassionate and has helped me a great deal. I cannot recommend a PT in the Chicagoland area more highly, I commute nearly 6 hours a week just to treat with him for my ankle, neck, and shoulder injuries. read more

Samir and his team are wonderful! I enjoyed coming here for my weekly sessions. You can tell his staff enjoy working there too. After being scared to try physical therapy again after a negative and unhelpful experience several years ago at another physical therapy practice, I am happy that I was able to have a positive experience here at Activa with Samir. My pain has been one that has been a chronic issue for over 10 years. I have added Activa to my care plan and have gotten pain relief under control and Samir has given me targeted exercises to do at home so that I can have tools to use at home too. read more

Dr Sharma helped me with the right diagnosis and also work with me one-to-one to ensure my therapy was completed as discussed in 4 weeks! Heed to their recommendation to to do certain things at home. The great care, service and knowledge that activa staff gives to it's patients is better by far than any other PT clinic I have been treated by. The results of their therapy is amazing: great pain relief, increased mobility of the affected area, faster recovery and great advice. I LOVE this place! The staff is friendly, it's clean, and most importantly, the people here actually care about your wellbeing. I came here for a hip injury. Prior to my injury, I was working out about 5-6 days a week with a moderately intense cardio and weight training routine. I was eager to get back to my workout routine quickly. Samir kept an eye on me throughout the entire duration of my program and made sure that I was progressing at a quick pace. I had a really hard time sitting and bending before I came here. Just a little over a month later, I am feeling NO PAIN. This staff is not just comprised of people who are looking to get you in and out. They are truly dedicated to eliminating your pain and helping you understand more about the human body. I hope I don't have to come back (who actually LIKES being injured?), but if I ever did need to receive more physical therapy for my hip or another injury, I'd go to Activa Physical Therapy without question. The Activa team is fantastic! I had ACL surgery and could barely walk and had no strength or functional movement when I first started therapy. The team started each session checking in on how my knee was doing and knew exactly which exercises to work on v others to wait on and how to tailor my session for the day. I could tell they were dedicated to my success and it shows in my results- I have gained a significant amount of strength and mobility working with them. I sadly am moving to a new state and need to finish therapy elsewhere- my next PT team will be held to a very high bar! I highly recommend all the PTs at Activa to anyone. read more
