I am only in Scottsdale on a periodic basis. Have consistently seen large groups here so finally decided to try it out since I do boot camp and high intensity training elsewhere. Did the sweat session with Sarah at 5AM for the first time. As a newby you get the first session free. It was truly awesome. First Sarah is a great encourager and very high energy. Second, compared to other places I have been the facility is a bit small. Then you realize that that's part of what makes it great. The crowd is definitely motivating but not judgey. I typically do a non stop 30 minute session so was bit concerned about the duration but the quick small breaks are just right. I will keep coming here as often as I am out. Last note, really no shower facilities but the place has such good vibe it just doesn't matter. Update, forgot to mention, Sarah is awesome as a trainer. read more

Wow, that's a workout! Be prepared to be worked like never before. The owner, Nikki, is a ball of energy and one of the most fun fitness coaches I've ever had. Every class is different from the last, gets you sweating and works you all over. I swear, I'm never sore in the same muscle twice. You will encounter almost anything in Bodi classes.... Kettle bells, med ball, plyo boxes, free weights, ropes, tires, burpees, mountain climbers, (attempted) chin-ups, TRX, and jumping on/off anything flat. In any class, you do between 6 and 16 (yes, 16!) moves/exercises, anywhere from 3 to 6 times each. Sometimes for a minute, sometimes for 30-40 seconds. Though some of the moves will become slightly familiar, you will do them for different intervals and in a different order each time. Nikki (like a super-fit energizer bunny) is always there to encourage you, offer an alternate if the move is too easy or hard, and correct your form. I've done about a dozen Sweat and Strength classes since the beginning of the year and there is definitely a difference in my stamina and strength. When I started, I could not move the 14lb med ball while doing a russian twist. Now I can. =) I have new/more muscle definition in my arms and my obliques are popping out! Crazy ... I think my boyfriend is a bit jealous. I love it. ;-P Fyi, bring a small towel and water. You'll need it! Also, if you're boney like me, you may want your towel as padding between you and the floor for some moves. The floors are rubberized for non-skid, but can leave you a little bruised feeling every now and again. read more

I moved to Scottsdale from LA and hadn't had a steady workout schedule for a while. I found Bodi on Groupon, so decided to give a 10 class pass a try. I started in October of 2018 with Strength classes. I was hooked from day 1. In January I started an annual unlimited membership and started going to Strength classes anywhere from 3-6 days per week. Although I didn't lose weight initially, I absolutely toned up quick! My arms, legs, and booty never looked better. I also definitely lost inches bc my clothes fit way better. In May I decided try boxing and it is my new favorite workout of all time!!! I have for sure lost some belly fat since incorporating boxing into my weekly routine. I haven't felt this strong or confident since I played college soccer I'm so happy to have found this gym with such amazing trainers! I have always worked out by myself and never thought I needed classes to do it. I got sick this year, and after I got better I couldn't find the motivation to go and work out by myself. I found Bodi on yelp and thought I would give it a shot. When I showed up I was worried that the classes would be geared more towards females, but man was I wrong. These classes are geared towards anybody that is serious about wanting to stay healthy and values instruction and accountability. Classes are split between cardio and strength. Both leave me energized and feeling great. There were many areas of fitness I neglected before Bodi, and I can tell that I am becoming more balanced as a result of working out here. I bought an annual pass after my first week and have zero regrets. I highly recommend this place! read more

I have been a member here for a few months now and I am very happy with the workouts and the staff! One thing I think could be better would be the cleaning. I work out at all times of the day and I have noticed the same things in the morning that were there the night before. The big mirror is nasty in the class, Covered in sweat and hand prints. I think this should be cleaned after every class! The bathrooms are also not kept up. The astroturf looks old and nasty. Just a few things that management should consider. read more

BODI is an awesome workout! It reminds me a lot of the hybrid Crossfit classes I took back in IL! The new location is awesome, all renovated and new...the only issues are the narrow hallway to put your belongings into the cubbies and the parking is a little far from the building, BUT I am guessing that is because of all the neighboring local businesses. I have taken Madi and Nikki's STRENGTH classes and both are amazing. You can hear and understand them over the mic. The workouts are no joke, you definitely will be sore! I love that it's local, but it's also getting very popular. Class sizes are probably upwards of 75 people. Last critique would be some sort of clean-up process afterwards for all the equipment used since so many hands and feet touch everything. read more

I can not say enough great things about Bodi. I have only been in Scottsdale for two weeks and am obsessed with this studio! Moving from Texas I wanted to find a challenging workout that has a great community and I am so glad I found Bodi and listened to all the reviews! I have only taken Nikki and Madi so far but they are both wonderful! Even if a move looks intimidating, they always provide modifications which I love so any fitness level can participate in the workout. After a week of classes, I am doing exercises that I would of never tried on my own, thanks to their motivation! Try a class, you will not regret it!! read more

Nikki is absolutely amazing. No matter your skill level or athletic capabilites, she makes you feel comfortable during your workout.

Wow. So I heard about this gym from a few people, so waited and got the groupon to give it a try! Its great! The workouts (so far) have been circuits, do X movement for X amount of time and then move on to the next movement and the next and the next etc etc etc and do it X rounds oh and do something in between each round like running the block or in-out jumping squats. And every movement is demonstrated for every level, from advanced to beginner, with several modifications and variations. The group of people that go, are nice, but they aren't overly nice (think smiles & head nod acknowledgements/ not hugs), seems everyone comes in, works out to their hardest ability, and goes home with no real judgement of anyone else. More or less because you are breathing and sweating too much to care what anyone else is doing and only focus on yourself. The instructors are awesome. They are peppy enough to keep you motivated, available to help with a modification or ask about form on a movement, but aren't in your face drill instructors yelling and belittling you if you need to rest for 2 seconds. And I see other reviews say it is expensive! No way! The 10-class pass right now goes for $120 -- that's $12 a class!!! Amazing! Hard pressed to find a class that gives you this much satisfaction afterwards for only $12 in Scottsdale (Orangetheory, for example, is $18 a class!). read more

I just wanted to provide an update to my last review. My love for this place hasn't changed except that maybe it's even better? Nikki (the owner) emailed me after my review as I had expressed concern about the pricing. She told me that there is a BFF/couples option that makes it a bit cheaper, which is PERFECT because my friend and I always go together! She also offered to help me work out payments if I needed it. I ended up going with the "BFF" plan thanks to some help from my friend, but I thought it was so incredibly nice of Nikki to not only email me and give me options but even offer to help me in whatever way she could. I really like Bodi. I have nothing but Great things to say about this gym. I've tried both Sweat and Strength now and both were extremely challenging but fun. The trainer are awesome. They are motivational but understanding. They give you plenty of modifications for everything so any fitness level can participate. Holy crap! Every time I walk out of this place, I say to myself, "That's the toughest workout I've ever done." I am a Bikram yoga addict, but was looking for something to change up my routine and help me build more muscle tone. I bought a Groupon to BODI by chance and found this gem of a gym powered by Nikki. She is awesome, funny, motivating and inspiring. After coming 2-3 times a week for a month, I have already noticed a difference in the way I look. My abs are sore as I type this. We have all been at points in our lives when working out becomes more than just physical exertion. For some, like myself, simply committing to a regimen is actually more difficult than the workout itself. Lack of planning, direction, time all are reasons why I have fallen of the wagon in the past. Working out at this gym has allowed me to free my mind of planning sessions and more importantly, allows me to use use the hour of exercise in the most efficient manner. I became a member in January 2014 and have not left the building once without feeling completely exhausted and feeling great simultaneously. This place is worth every penny. Nikki is truly one of a kind. Her energy levels will keep you motivated even when your day has you feeling down on yourself. It is very rare to have this much fun in a place where you are challenged full throttle. On top of it all, there is a great sense of community and accountability to keep you coming back. It is extremely difficult to manufacture the desire to come back and kick your own butt, but this place has found a way. I would give this place more than 5 stars if Yelp would allow me. I got introduced to BODI using my class pass and was very happy with the STRENGTH class. I am in decent shape and have a couple injury areas but Nikki gave a few different options for each exercise based on fitness levels. This is a tough class, but Nikki keeps you motivated and each exercise was only 40 seconds so you are consistently changing and never get board. read more

It's got a bit of the cross fit feel (which I usually don't like), but the instructors are friendly, encouraging, pay attention to your form, and do not allow the environment to become too competitive. I love that! The only thing is that the equipment/studio isn't very clean, and the showers... I wouldn't take one there. I recently came in as a first timer to Bodi on my vacation to Scottsdale. I was nervous to try something new but it turned out to be an amazing experience. I was so amazed with how knowledgable and helpful the owner Nikki was while coaching the workout. I think it says a lot about her personality and experience that she can easily fill every spot in the 6:00AM class. She will push you but make the class fun and motivating at the same time. I have been going to Bodi every week for about 3 years now and can't believe I have yet to review this place. I absolutely love the workouts Nikki creates for every workout. Even down to the customer service, Nikki's husband / front desk staff are always friendly and no one is too stuck up or macho to make you feel welcomed and at home. I usually take Madi's class who I idolize for her growth, strength and ability to push others. I like how unique and different the structure of the class is every time you take it and never ceases to make you burn and sweat and feel pumped/motivated for the rest of the day/week. I am so happy to see how much the brand, gym and team has grown since starting. I remember when classes were only 2-3 people and now they have tripled in size and even moved to a new location with great space and equipment. No matter how big the classes get, the instructors always hit the spot. Even though I miss Ms. Missy, all the new trainers still kill it every single damn time. I am a newcomer to BODI and even though I am not very good at it I really like the way Nikki, Madi and Missy motivate the class and give variations for each of the exercises based on skill level. No 2 classes are the same with a great variety of challenging rotations. If you are looking for a great workout and a welcoming gym you should definitely give BODI a try. read more
