The food here is really very good! It's what I wanted without expectations of pretentious faff. Clean environment, which can be hard for sticky food places. Service is perfect for the environment. I'm very happy and will be returning, when next in the area!! We walked in and got a table and I regret nothing!

Like most meat eating Londoners I'm a fan of Bodeans. This was my first visit to the Fulham branch and to be honest I wasn't impressed. The food was good, as usual. Maybe a little criticism of the poutine which wasn't really poutine - just fries with melted cheese on top. But the service really wasn't great. And it was a Tuesday evening and not even busy. Two out of three meals came out with incorrect sides. The waiter didn't know how some of the menu items would be served. And our bill took forever to arrive despite is requesting it twice. When it eventually arrived two items were incorrectly priced. You would have got 4 stars Bodeans, if it wasn't for the service.

Whenever I crave for a big fat piece of meat in my mouth, I think of Bodeans (What else would I be thinking of?). It's American themed, from it's staff to the TV channel on in the background, and of course it's food, everything remains loyal to this theme. The atmosphere is always buzzing but it's often too busy. It's difficult to get an available table without reservation, otherwise you'd have to wait a good while. So it really depends on how much you want it. Is it worth the wait? Indeed it is!

Bodean's is a great American Diner. On arrival to the restaurant we were given free starters, which was tortilla's and salsa dip, which was really nice. Then I ordered the buffalo burger with blue cheese. But as we all know, blue cheese has an acquired taste and i did not think it belonged in the burger and that gave it a horrible taste and smell. So my main was not all that great. Anyway the staff at this branch were very helpful and quite efficent. As I was trying to eat this burger with an awful taste and smell, the waiter who was serving the table oppostie us had spilt 4 cups of drink accidently on the table and the people sitting there. The waiter was so embarrassed and apologetic. Im sure they were compensated for this minor mistake as they continued the evening with smiles and laughter. Also on a friday it is always busy so you most likely wont recieve a table unless your early.

Great food! Platter for 2 comes with 2 portions of chips and a selection of types of meat and chicken. Better of you have it with cholula sauce :)

£15 with a beer. Game day special. Brilliant.

My friend and I went there for dinner while in Fulham, and were taken aback by the interior, that was the epitome of cool everywhere you looked. We could see why it has a great reputation. We decided that the best way to sample a place we hadn't been before was to order and share every dish. To start with, we went for Smoked beef tartare with kimchi and duck egg yolk, chilli fried baby squid will dill aioli along with ox cheeks with confit garlic and bone marrow crumb. The combination was just great and set us up nicely for the main course. Of course, when in Hanger & Cellar, it would be a crime to miss out on the steaks, so we plumped for 300g of bone in rare breed sirloin and 300g of USDA hanger steak. They were matured, tender and tasted superb. I want all my steaks to taste like this! On the side, we had chips, herbs salt, aioli and then poutine with goats curd and jalapenos to make a real treat of it. The food was cooked with real skill, and the two steaks were some of the best we've ever eaten. Amazingly, we made room for dessert and both eyed up the affogato made of vanilla ice cream, espresso and almonds on the menu. Good choice. Along with the smooth service, it ended the night on a real high note. Can't wait to go back.

Then had the chocolate and orange brownie which was really good. The coffee was not a standard espresso but tasted more like filtered, however a good filtered coffee. Give this place a go for something different, and let's finally make this spot work for a change! :-)

The average meal per person here including a cocktail, starter, mains + service charges can go anywhere between £40 - £80 (depending if you get the steak or not). It's not the cheapest place to have steaks. I've had better steaks else where, but I do enjoy the service and the restaurant as a whole. Today I am having the 200g Cheese Burger - £13.50, comes with chips. They forgot to ask how I wanted my beef cooked, so it came well done. They do serve decent food, I wouldn't say it's mind blowing but it's neither bad. Not much to complain about. I would bring friends and family, they have a huge dining area. Its kids friendly and they also serve a halal menu. There's also 5pm - 9pm happy hours on selected cocktails, but it's only available on the bottom floor/ bar area.

From this point on things went downhill VERY SLOWLY (I say slowly as that is how the rest of our order was brought out). We sat there for about 40 minutes after the starter tray was removed. During this time, another party of 5 people came in and sat right behind us, ordered, had their entire meal brought out, and our order was still not brought out. Mind you, we did not order anything special. The the manager walked by and asked me "Is everything ok?" I said NO our food was not there and our drink cups were both empty. I asked for a refill on my wife's Coke and my Water, he did have the drinks refilled and had the chops to actually ring out the refill on the coke BEFORE refilling the drink. He did nothing else to check on the other issues or even offer to see what the problem was. Our original server was totally missing in action. One other server cleared the starter plate and then another brought the meal when it finally came. Just terrible service! Near the end, our original server came back and brought the bill. I paid via my Amex and she asked if I wanted to add a tip. I said "No, not this time", to which she responded "I did kind of leave you stranded for a while". Mind you, I don't like not tipping. I know they make their living from the tips, but when the service was this terrible, I just could not bring myself to tip. This is the first time in my life I did not tip a server, so that should tell you how bad the service and management staff was. Then if all this was not enough, on my Amex I was billed twice for the meal. I would tell anyone that is looking for someplace in Westfield to eat, do NOT eat at The Meat Co.

I have to thank that crazy lady who snapped at me for asking if I could have dim sum, thanks lady, really, thank you. What a treat! Roxie is a hidden gem in Fulham, with totally amazing steaks at the most ridiculously good prices. That first night I had surf and turf with fillet and prawns for £15.45, and it was DELICIOUS. The double cooked chips and courgettes were equally tasty. I tucked on to apple crumble with white chocolate ice cream for dessert - and I have to say it was one of the best I've ever had. Because it's also a wine bar, the wine menu is extensive and well priced. And the waiters are knowledgable and speedy but not overbearing. We've been back once since and I had the exact same meal, and it was just as good second tom round. We'll be back for SURE! Maybe NYE 2014 :)

There's no place that puts a smile on your face better than Jack's Place…read more One of the only decent steak houses left in London that doesn't cost the earth, Jack's place overflows with good, old-fashioned home cooking and top secret family recipes passed down through generations (well, I say top secret. They'd probably tell you if you asked. They're that friendly.) Jack's place has the most fascinating history of any restaurant I've been to. Opened in 1968 by retired boxer, Jack Talkington, it is the epitome of hidden gem. Do not be fooled by how easy it is to walk right past it on the busy York road. Once you step in, you can still hear the buzz from the knees ups they used to have, where Jack would notoriously chop off the ties of the businessmen whilst they weren't looking (Jack's place was and is still not for the stiff upper-lipped). The walls are lined with hundreds of ties collected over the decades like medals. If those walls could talk...well, they practically did. Looking like a cross between a vintage boutique and a war memorial museum, every inch of the walls are adorned with trinkets, well-deserved awards, and framed snaps of celebrities on their visits. If it's good enough for Jack Nicholson, it's good enough for me! Jack's Place has well-stocked bar and a menu sporting a few select dishes; quality over quantity - because spending 3 hours digesting the menu isn't fun for anyone. I would suggest wearing loose-fitting clothes to accommodate the generous portions. I started with their garlic butter prawn special, which I don't usually order, finding it difficult to de-shell a prawn in public whilst still looking mildly human. However, the couple on the next table made theirs look delicious (not only do I read the papers over your shoulder - I perve over your meals from a distance. Can't take me anywhere, really...except Jack's Place) so I opted for the same, made extra special by Angela (Jack's daughter) bringing me a twee little bowl of hot lemon water and a mini towel. Their king sized T-bone steak was cooked to perfection, with a classic mushroom sauce and a decent size portion of chips and veg to go with it. Would recommend: Their pecan and butterscotch cheesecake. Tip: Jack's is an intimate little place that would be great for a first date.
