Quiet atmosphere, we could actually have a conversation. The food was excellent. We split the lobster dinner and we ordered an extra salad. The salad was wonderful and I could've made a meal of it. Went for dinner last night and all I can say is WOW!! Hands-down some of the best seafood I've ever had, Unequivocally the best Seabass (Chilean) and scallops that were cooked to perfection. I had the Seabass and it had an excellent polymorphic flavor profile that straddled the line between savory and sweet nicely. The sea bass was juicy and topped with a wonderful maltaise sauce. The pan seared scallops were to die for served over sweet cabbage topped with tomatillo chutney and genovese sauce. These dishes were absolutely superb. Also had a oyster Rockefeller that was served on a bed of sea- salt (unfortunately some salt got into the oyster making it pretty much inedible, management was quick to replace the oysters). All in all great ambience, decor could be updated a bit. This would be be great for date night, Celebrating a special occasion. Wonderful dining experience, definitely going back soon! read more

Bodean's is a great seafood restaurant. But honestly it did not knock our socks off. It is good but we got the surf & turf special and for the price, the strip steak was not that great. The crab topping was good. They had a snag cooking it but brought out a shrimp appetizer which was very nice. The service deserves 5 stars for sure. I also ordered the Caesar salad- it's good. The dressing is not creamy just an FYI. As far as nice seafood places go, this is one of the best options in town but as far as good seafood and a good value - I'll stick with White River. One of the best parts of the night was our private room for our group. We didn't ask for it nor did we have to pay extra but it was great! read more

It was my b'day and I chose Bodean Seafood because, quite frankly, I hadn't been there since years ago as a group of parent chaperones we "borrowed" the limo from our partying kids and had a wonderful time at Bodean's. A friend declared that night, "Oh, let's do this every weekend!" Alas, life gets in the way. We were minutes ahead of our reservation, but were graciously seated tout suite. Derek was our waiter. Ask for him. He knows his job and has a sense of humor. In looking at the pictures and reading the reviews the menu is constantly changing which is the way it should be. The menu offerings for August 31st were outstanding. My table enjoyed the scollops, steak w/ gnocchi & the Halibut. We started w/ the calamari. There was more than enough for three people to share. This evening the scallops were served w/ a southwestern flair. It was incredible! Notice the heirloom tomatoes, corn & avocado. Perfumed w/ cilantro, they were seared to perfection. I tasted the gnocchi, it too was crisped. I had the Marcona almond crusted Halibut which sat atop a mushroom tart w/ a touch of caviar on top. Delish! I didn't really peruse the wine list, but it is hefty. However, I immediately found a Russian River Valley Chardonnay BTG on the back of the menu for $8. It was perfect. Service was impeccable. And we all laughed when an overly enthusiastic server topped off hubby's Pepsi w/ iced tea. I'd return in a heartbeat. Yea, it's a tad pricey, but you get what you pay for. The service is fantastic, you're treated like a VIP, they're attentive but not overly interruptive as you are engaging in conversation with your party. This restaurant is without a doubt my favorite in Oklahoma. In the Tulsa area, they are the providers of gray seafood to all the better restaurants and they have the fish flown in twice a day. They change their menu daily. We had three is us do two of us decided to share. Oh my goodness, the sesame seed crusted sea bass was beyond amazing. The melted curry butter on the baby potatoes and shishito peppers was flavorful ave inventive. The pineapple salad was very tasty. The seafood gnocchi was good. They smoke the tomatoes and make a sauce, so it's smoky and wonderful and every bite is excellent. My grandson ordered King Crab and yes it was pricey but he couldn't eat it all. It was done of the best crab I've ever had. It came with two sides, so we ordered the King Crab risotto to share. It was creamy and crabby and wonderful, My daughter ordered the Creme brûlée and it was superior Creme brûlée with a thick yummy sugary crust. I really like this restaurant. Their seafood is always fresh and very well prepared, but for business groups it's a crap shoot. The wait staff had no respect for the meeting and speaker we were listening to. It's like they didnt know how to be quiet when there's someone speaking. A large group of waiters busted into the room, clanking plates and talking loudly. IMO they could have waited 3 minutes for the speaker to finish talking. It was the rudest thing I've ever witnessed. My husband (Dustin E.) did a great job reviewing this restaurant and didn't leave me much left to say lol. I will agree on the amazing, attentive service of the staff - it was great! Attentive without being clingy, which is what I like in a server. Our waiter was very knowledgable about the menu, and answered all of our questions. We asked about the pricing on the fresh fish selection (King Salmon, Walleye, a type of Swordfish, and Caribbean Kingclip) and he gave us full descriptions. I decided on the Walleye (which was described as similar to sea bass) and my husband ordered the Caribbean Kingclip. I like a more firm fish, and my husband likes his fish a little soft. We ended up with perfect selections thanks to our server. The Werther's Originals infused cotton candy was amazing!!!! And it wasn't on the menu, so we almost missed it. Life changing, i'll just say that. I'm drooling thinking about it....yum! Great place for a date, or a casual gathering of friends. Had dinner here last Saturday night. It was our first time here. As others have said, it doesn't look like much from the outside but it's quite nice inside. The service was excellent. Our server explained that they have fresh fish flown in daily to supply their market, restaurant and even other local restaurants. They have their own refrigerated hanger at the airport. So they run quite an operation allowing them to serve some pretty fresh fish. I had the sea bass which was cooked perfectly. My husband had the halibut special which was good but not quite as tender as my sea bass but I think that may be just a difference in fish texture. Our meals were about $40 to $50 each. They have crème brûlée so of course I had to try that! It was very good, perfect texture and caramelization. I would definitely recommend this for a special occasion. So, my wife and I wanted good seafood for lunch one day. I'm not talking about fish, I'm talking about king crab. The only place I could find open at lunch was this place. Admittedly, the king crab (which they shelled) was good, so their seafood market attached probably has fresh seafood. However, it's hard to really mess up steamed crab or lobster. It's the other things that lower my rating to 3 stars. First, the environment was out of date. Much older crowd there and they obviously decorate to that crowd (I'm talking 55+). Second, the homemade items, like the bisque, salad, and potatoes were really bland, except the bisque had too much pepper (but definitely not much of a lobster or any seafood flavor). We started with a sample of a dozen oysters & shrimp cocktail very fresh. I actually liked the oysters here! We ordered the recommended Halibut-it did not disappoint. I had the (6)seared scallops with a pico-corn heirloom tomato medley with avacado purée - I loved every bite. Delish! We ended the dinner with coffee and Creme Brûlée -perfectly French. I know it sounds strange but I went to experience their 6 oz. waygu tenderloin which I have seen finished table side. It turned out to be my Lucky day as they had sold out-lucky? Yes my taste buds were set for steak but I had to change and settled on the brioche halibut. I have traveled across the US and 37 countries and this possibly is the best fish I have eaten. (including Paul Prudhomme's original blackened red fish) How can you take a piece of fish that thick and have it perfectly cooked top to bottom? It had a perfect thin seared crust accompanied by a luscious sauce of stewed leeks, rock shrimp and diced potatoes; tomato jam on top because they can. From the description I was not sure what to expect yet I was met by pure lusciousness. Every meal I've had here has been excellent but this topped them all.
