Need to learn a little about customer service. Firstly, I ordered a latte - large - not offered here/to-go for a cup. Then, paying full freight, poured into a paper cup. No froth, no cupping, and luke warm at best. Server: can't keep up? Ask for help. Cashierist: taking Q&A from a customer? Best to know the menu, instead of holding up the queue b/c you're reading the menu. Flavor? Weak with a bunch of milk. Doubtful espresso beans. More like the coffee my grandma served me when I was a wee lad. read more

We came into this place for some coffee & heard it was excellent. The atmosphere was really unique and cute, however the service in the cafe was lacking. The employees were not friendly at all - it almost made us feel like we shouldn't have been there. One employee was standing in front of the cashiers stand, and we thought she was a customer, but she wasn't she was just standing there... and the other employees ignored us until she left. It was honestly just a super weird vibe. The coffee took fooooreeeeevvveeerrr to come out, even though there wasn't very many other people in the store. I'm a remote worker and popped in for a little change of scenery. From the baristas to the gentleman cleaning the dining area, the staff was just delightful. I was impressed with my latte (I'm a bit of a coffee snob) and my breakfast was phenomenal. It's a bonus that the prices were reasonable. Will definitely be back :) read more

I haven't seen that many coffee joints with a siphon coffee maker AND a chemex so this spot automatically gets 4 stars. I mean, it also helps that the staff is friendly and the interior design is welcoming/pleasant. The breakfast items looked promising as did the baked goods. I haven't ever bought anything next door at the Bodacious Olive but apparently the olive oil they sell is on point. Anyway, if you're here, get yourself some coffee made in the siphon and they're out of filters or something stupid, get some made via the chemex. Seats can be a hot commodity during peak hours so take this into account if you're in a group. Basically, Bodacious is a great spot for coffee in the heart of downtown Pensacola. Grab some breakfast/lunch at amazing next door restaurants such as Carmen's or Ruby Slipper. read more

Drove thru this morning and bypass Starbucks because this is a small business in Pensacola. I ordered a sugar free vanilla latte. It cost almost $5. I opened the cup because it didn't feel very full. It was barely over half a cup of coffee. the guy at the window barely acknowledged me. I like to support homegrown establishments however if they can't fill a cup of coffee and acknowledge you, why go there. I think I could probably go to Mcd and get the same if not better service. Stopped by for the last two mornings while running errands. Please stop by and enjoy every neuance this little place offers. Plenty of seats in and out side the establishment. I saw their teacher appreciation special offer they were running on their Instagram page (make a donation for teachers appreciation week, get a BOGO drink and a coupon), so I gathered my things and drove there just for that. I could not stay very long, so I didn't get to look around, but it was a beautifully warm and inviting environment as soon as I walked in. I do not like coffee, so the staff recommended two fantastic smoothies instead. I had the pineapple and banana smoothie, and let me tell you, it was fantastic. I am going back soon just to use the coupon I received for my donation and to actually look around. The staff exceeded my expectations in customer service. I posted two notes on the "What's your most recent book you've read?" wall and the gentleman asked me about those books - it was nice that he genuinely seemed interested. We ordered two Cappuccinos this morning, no long waiting lines or traffic, the crew had plenty of time and ability to do this right. It was served in go cups as ordered, but wet and hot beyond acceptable. If this is the standard of their frothed milk, it is not up to it. You have the best of the best equipment from what I could see, go back and re-train your skills to make it right. For those that want a real Cappuccino, go somewhere else that has real Baristas that respect the profession. read more

I love them all. Whether it's the Bodacious Brew, SoChopped or the Brew Thru, you won't find a better place to take a break with a coffee or salad in downtown Pensacola. Just recently at the Bodacious Brew, the card reader at the register was down. I rarely carry cash on me so I thought I was out of luck. Call it coffee and serve it to all your friends.....well that's what you would do if you wanted to replicate bodacious brew's coffee. I'm new to Pensacola and I was excited about this place. The reviews were amazing and it's ALWAYS packed. I ordered a regular 12oz coffee and I couldn't even finish it. If you're downtown around 9 on a Saturday do yourself a favor and walk down to the other end of palofax and grab a coffee from the farmers market. Order: Angelino (Iced coffee w milk, and vanilla), Cappuccino Pros: Free item with purchase of a pound of coffee, syrups are made in house, several cool drink combinations Cons: They don't roast their own beans and the roast is a little darker than I like Thoughts: Another coffee stop on our way to New Orleans and it was defiantly one of the more "unique" shops. After looking around we figured out that it was part of a "Bodacious" set of stores (olive oil, restaurant, and coffee shop). They covered a variety of different drinks that were very unique in their combinations of flavors or serving methods. We settled on one of our staples, the cappuccino, and one of their specialty drinks, the Angelino. While we were ordering they told us you get a free drink with each pound of coffee ordered so we immediately decided to pick up two pounds of coffee. While waiting we started looking into the coffee they use and it turns out that it is not roasted on site/ The drinks came out pretty good but the roast on the beans was darker than I prefer, and led to just a hint of a charred flavor. It was also clear that the barrister's weren't super informed on all their different drinks and brewing methods. The Angelino was pretty good and I'd probably recommend sticking with their specialty offerings rather than order the "standard" coffee drinks. I feel like the quality of their bean stands out more in their black coffee and core espresso drinks. Overall it was a good place to stop and grab coffee but it lacked the artistry and dedication to really be a coffee lovers go to place. I'd definitely get coffee from there if I happened to be nearby but wouldn't go too far out of my way to go here. read more

I was wishing I had tried their toddy brew for iced coffee (it's how I brew at home) The employees look sharp, are fast and efficient and take care in their art. I only went for coffee (and had an underwhelming Angelino after they told me they were out of filters for the syphon) and a croissant, but this places appears to be setting itself up as a rival to The Leisure Club, as a coffee heavy cafe. The barista was friendly and seemed knowledgable, but I didn't really like the set up for sitting down, it felt very cramped. I used to enjoy this establishment and eat here quite regularly. Sadly I have seen the level of service greatly decline over the past few months. Orders are extremely slow and more often than not wrong. Eggs are not cooked as ordered (or missing altogether), sandwiches with avocado are missing avocado, fruit cheese and nut is missing cheese, etc... I have given them numerous "second chances" but after today I am done. It makes me sad because I really want them to be good again. read more

I get sad when they run out of chocolate croissants but still worth the drive for the lattes
