Bellini imported from Italy
Jason P.

Went at brunch time on Sunday. I have to say the crowds weren't bad. There is a little shop upstairs with some kitchenware and drinks which was aesthetic. They have an outdoor patio upstairs, which was perfect for a nice weather day. I had the Julia Child croissant sandwich with egg and bacon, which was delicious. I tend to judge brunch places on their cheesy grits...and these did not disappoint!! Latte was also very good. I tried an imported Bellini (Prosecco + peach puree), which was fantastic. I'll be back next time I'm in Pensacola!

Santa Fe wrap

We have been in the attached shop but first time eating here. Great counter service and food choices. Casual dining with great freshness! We both went with the Santa Fe wrap and were both extremely happy with our choice. We'll be headed upstairs to do some more shopping and as always, we enjoy our experience when we come here.

Matcha!

Nice drive thru or walk up place! They have plenty of seating, a bathroom (the soap was out today), and a decent menu with coffee, smoothie, tea, and a few specialty drink options. The limited time strawberry shortcake matcha latte was out of this world, crazy sweet, but so delicious! The smoothie was only ok, there were plenty of raspberry seeds, haha. Street parking and paid lot parking are around, but a bit limited. Service was fast!

Breakfast with a view

When in Pensacola, my to go place for breakfast and the view. Love sitting outside and with 3 different patios to choose from, you can never go wrong. Add the food being phenomenal and you got a great recipe for an outstanding time

Visiting the area and was recommended to try out the olive oils. I was greeted immediately by the friendly staff and was given little paper cups and bread to taste the different olive oils. I was blown away on how many different olive oils and various combinations there were. Some were very interesting but delicious! Some of my favorites were habanero honey, cinnamon pear, pineapple, and garlic. We ended up taking 6 small bottles homes. Definitely recommend to check out.

The interior of this place is cute. I'd come here again to study inside or something, lots of seating and quiet. There is spice/curated cooking oil shop in the same building which is cool! We got the rose latte and the mama's special or something. I thought they were going to be cute colored like in the promo picture, but they were just the colors of a regular latte: brown. Hahah, it was still good! I wouldn't get it again though. Grits bowl was alright too!

My bacon, egg, and cheese english muffin. I paid $8 for this and could only take 2 bites. Don't waste your money.

The food was overpriced and actually disgusting. If you are going to charge that much for your food. It should at least be decent.

Iced lavender latte

Anytime I'm in in the downtown Palafox area (or even if I'm not, I'll admit I've driven 30min for their coffee before) I must stop at bodacious! They have the best lavender lattes and delicious avocado toast, with quite possibly the best bacon I've ever had. My fav Pcola coffee shop

Iced honey latte (East Hill Honey) and açaí bowl

Such a great place to grab breakfast and coffee and sit and chat for a bit! Then head on upstairs afterwards to shop around for some cute kitchen items and try some cheese samples :) The latte was delicious and so was the açaí bowl - but I'm hoping to make it in time for their breakfast menu when I go back! (Breakfast menu only goes until 11am). Give this spot a try if you're a coffee / breakfast lover!

Olive oils

A really fun shop to swing by and check out! We spent a couple of hours here lol they have a great variety of olive oils that you can sample, so I ended up leaving with 3 bottles! They have a kitchen/home goods/wine store upstairs so it's definitely worth checking out. Service was good, just be patient if they're really busy with customers. I did get an iced latte at the restaurant next door which was just ok. It was really sweet, so I'd ask for less syrup next time. Overall, I left with some local candles and olive oils so I was a happy camper.

This chicken salad sandwich was good and filling! This rosebud tea is my favorite! This is my favorite spot visit!

Bacon egg and cheese

I've been craving a good breakfast sandwich for a few days and seen that this place had sandwiches. Ok, let's take a trip crosstown and give it a go. The outside has a nice setup to relax and chat, or let the kids have fun. I liked that. I ordered a Bacon egg and cheese which is said to be NY Style. Perfect! I'm a New Yorker. So the sandwich came out rather fast and piping hot, semi-toasted with almost a microwave steam coming from the bun. First thing I noticed when I opened the sandwich was that the microwaveable bacon was just tossed on the egg, meaning if I didn't do some rearranging, all the bacon would've ended up in one bite. Secondly, the egg reminded my of the eggs Dunkin' Donuts uses, precooked in a circle. Lastly, the bagel was actually pretty good, just need to be toasted and not microwaved. So a piece of advice... drop the NY Style from the description. NY'ers would never use microwaved bacon and whatever type of egg that is. Keep the bagels, those are good. Basically put in the work to make a really breakfast sandwich, this will strengthen your breakfast sandwich game. Recommended for coffee and a nice place to sit and chill. Not the sandwiches.

Yum! It's a coffee shop, wonderland! Between the baby Williams Sonoma upstairs and the industrial demo kitchen I randomly stumbled into, I was smitten. Hubs and I stopped in for coffee and a bite before a trip and left as fanatics! This place is killer and the food and coffee are great as well! We ordered lattes and breakfast sandwiches w/ avocado (can't remember the name) and it hit the spot! Can't wait to stop back by for another crack at it!

Ask the Community - Bodacious Shops

Do they sell fresh roasted beans?

Hi Jen! We do sell freshly roasted coffee beans at our sister location on Palafox Street that are roasted in the building by our partner Fix Coffee Company. Fun fact: If you ever stop by and smell a strong roasting smell or see little flecks falling…

I've been to the upstairs part of the BB and at the time, they were having a cooking demonstration so I couldn't really look around. My question is, can you sit outside to have coffee on the upper level?

Hi Basha! Yes, you can sit outdoors on either of our balconies upstairs or in the back and front of our lower level. We have plenty of outdoor seating!

We've been going to Ruby Slipper for years; it's our go-to for brunch on vacation. This visit…read morehowever was a standout from all the other times we've gone. The food was delicious as always but the service was 100/10. First things first, I am recently Gluten Free due to a new medical diagnosis and going out to eat has been a huge adjustment and usually means I either get something that tastes gross or nothing at all due to risk of getting sick. Not here! Ruby Slipper has a dedicated special dietary menu with one whole side devoted to GF options. Score! The French toast I got was made in gluten free bread; it was good enough to enjoy. You can't compare it to real French toast but for GF it was pretty good. I got eggs with it, which are always delicious here. Let's talk about the next thing that made this visit perfect: the service! Top notch! They were all so knowledgeable and friendly and accommodating. We came with our two children and my two year old was extremely fussy; the server offered to bring us a to-go box for our food after she promptly fell asleep in the booth. My oldest (4.5) ordered avocado toast. I had ordered all the fix-ins on the side and they accidentally made it with everything on top. They were quick to apologize and remake it. Then my oldest had her meltdown because she is 4.5 and we were sitting too long and it was too loud and the avocado toast was not like how she was used to. She started to cry and the COOK of all people came over and asked if she was okay and how could he make it better and was just so warm and kind and I was completely BLOWN away at how willing he was to make it right. I mean, they were so BUSY as it was Sunday brunch. So he made her a special avocado toast just how she liked it. Our server was also just so sweet and brought us boxes and kept things moving in such a compassionate way without making us feel bad about our children just falling apart. Everyone was so sweet and it reminded us of why we go there! Everyone in our party also loved their food too. Definitely would recommend it to everyone!

I think Dorothy may have stopped here for a quick bite to eat since you do know, "There's no place…read morelike home..." Before heading to the Pensacola Airport my friends took me here to meet their beautiful daughter & her boyfriend for lunch. There were plenty of tables and our server was very sweet. I was not that hungry so I shared some Beignet's & fried green tomatoes with my girl Paula. SOOOO good! The food came quickly and it was nice sitting and chatting. Very casual here...not fancy at all... *They do take reservations but we had no problem getting a table at 12 noon on a Monday. I'm sure it's not as easy on the weekends. I would make a resy:) No one rushed us which is always a plus. Only open for breakfast & lunch Mon - Fri: 7:00 AM - 2:00PM Sat & Sun: 7:00 AM -3:00PM Plenty of street parking ~ and that's all I have to say about that...

Amazing Vegan Restaurant! I've been here several times and…read moretried a bunch of different items, everything I've had so far has been fantastic (with a couple personal notes). * Hummus & Pita Plate - 10/10 Best hummus ever! The veggies are super fresh, and the warm pita is my favorite menu item. * Bacon Avocado Club - 10/10 Hearty, flavorful, and seriously satisfying. * Lion's Mane Chimichurri Sandwich - 5/10 Flavor was great, but the mushroom texture was too chewy for me. * Sriracha Mac & Cheese - 10/10 Absolutely addicting. * Knuckle Sandwich - 8/10 Tasty, but not as filling as the club sandwich. Our waitress was a lovely woman and was very helpful and informative. My friend has a nut allergy, and our waitress was very cautious and informed us of EVERYTHING that had nuts in it that the table ordered just in case she wanted to try someone else's dish. And they make their cashew cheese in-house???? AMAZING! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was rustic and original, yet had a light, airy feel with all of the vining plants hanging around the room. A lovely little lunch spot. We will be back!!
