Our experience at the restaurant Boca Grande

I have never written a negative comment, but last night was disappointing, and I insist on taking measures towards the hostesses and manager, who were working yesterday night, 15.05.2022 from 20 o'clock.
For over ten years, Boca Grande was my favorite restaurant in Barcelona! I've been there more than 60 times, I brought so many business partners and friends there, and it always had excellent service and fantastic food. I knew all waiters and managers, they knew me, and that is why I was so shocked to be treated this way! This restaurant has been my favorite for all these years. Even though the restaurant changed the menu after the pandemic, the food remained just as delicious. So, when friends or business partners come to visit me in Barcelona, I always invite them to this place without any hesitation. But yesterday, my loyalty was completely destroyed. I hope the owner will see this comment and that it is still important for him to know the opinion of their guests. He must know who works in the restaurant that he puts all his effort and soul in.
We made a reservation five days in advance, and as we had been there many times before, we kindly asked for a particular table for our business dinner for six people. We were told that the reservation could not be done for a specific table, but they will try to arrange it. Unfortunately, we did not only get the table we asked for, but we got the worst table in the restaurant. The hostess said it to us directly: "It was me who gave this table, I know it is not a good one, but you will sit there because I do not have any table for you"... Another hostess did not talk to us at all and left us with no answer. We asked to move to another table that was available but were rejected. The manager said he had no time to talk to us. But when he realized we would not go anywhere and keep waiting for him, he came and said that this table was not for us. So for some people, they do reserve a table?!
It was an important business dinner, and until one of our business partners (a Spanish speaker) talked to the manager, we were ignored or treated rudely. After all, they changed the table for us. The service was good, but how the manager and hostess made us feel was really bad and disrespectful!
