Deb and Marina were incredibly friendly professional, and nice to me when I walked in - so helpful and fun to work with. I ended up buying two lamps and a beautiful bowl I stumbled upon the store on the way to someplace else, and its awesome. I really loved it. The women that work there couldn't of been nicer, and the products fantastic FURNITURE, throw pillows, lamps, bowls, very cool ART, credenzas that are incredibly impressive. The barstools in my kitchen look terrible. I came in with photos and measurements looking for a good quality vinyl that I can wipe off. There is such a great selection, and endless choice of quality fabrics here. Everything in the store is 30% off the list price. There was so much to choose from, but I found the perfect fabric and was in and out in no time. The sales help are always knowledgeable, efficient and helpful. They recommended the marine fabric as having the best wear. My fabric was packaged up on a roll, and I was out of the shop having spent less than $100. read more

For recovering furniture with a basic fabric, the work is adequate. However, I ordered five custom-make pillows, approximately $350 per pillow, including fabric. Unfortunately the workmanship was shoddy and did not reflect the price or what was promised. The pattern on the fabric did not line up and looked poorly constructed. After multiple attempts, the problems were never resolved. I ultimately decided to take the pillows and donate them. I picked up the pillows with a substantial amount of left over fabric. The fabric was marked up and unusable. read more

When I walked into Boca Bargoons, I felt like the proverbial kid in a candy store. So many fabric choices! Fortunately, the sales rep Chelly recognized my deer-in-the-headlights look (probably a common occurrence) and quickly came to assist me. She asked what I was looking for and guided me to some appropriate fabrics. She then gave me a pair of scissors that I could use to cut swatches to take home. And she left me alone to wander around and make some selections. Chelly also checked on me periodically to be sure I was finding potential fabrics. Not surprisingly the first fabric that she had suggested was the one I ultimately purchased. Impressive! Chelly wasn't working the day I returned to the store after confirming my fabric choice at home. But the other people who handled my purchase were also very nice and provided excellent service. When I noticed that the backside of the fabric had a dirty spot near the end of the roll, they deducted a yard of fabric from the purchase price and still gave me that yard just in case I needed it. I considered going to other fabric stores, but with the large selection, reasonable prices and great service at Boca Bargoons, why spend the extra time and effort? I'll stick with Boca Bargoons for all my reupholstering projects. I have some dining chairs that are begging for new seat coverings.... read more

Pretty broad range of fabrics, maybe 40-50 bays with about 24 rolls per bay, all arranged generally by color, nothing cheap or trashy, also nothing ludicrously extravagant, most rolls seemed to be about $35-$55 a yard, with a pricey $125 here and there. I've driven by this store for more than 12 years and never went in, but always thought I'd like to check it out. I recently decided to break open my Bar Mitzvah piggy bank (yes, I realize the incongruity here, but boys and girls, it's a metaphor) to have some long overdue home projects done. One project was to get a cushion for an outdoor bench re-upholstered. I've tried, for years, to find the right size cushion in catalogs as well as stores like K-Mart, Home Goods, and Fortunoff Backyard. No luck. Ya see, the bench was hand carved in Brazil and is not the standard size dimensions one would find if mass manufactured anywhere. And I really really like my bench. In fact, I also had enough money left over from last month's Social Security check to have the bench refinished by our new Handyman (who is from Peru, but I digress) as it was crying out for a sanding and refinishing. I went to Boca Bargoons with some trepidation as most of the Yelp reviews were quite negative, almost bordering on hateful. I figured, this is East Boca and it doesn't take much to piss off people, especially in a fabric outlet store. I'll check them out. Well, our experience was quite positive, all around. I admit that I was tongue tied when entering the front door to express what I wanted, but was assisted by bringing the cushion I to be re upholstered and pointing to it and before I could spit out what I wanted, the sales representative said "yes, it's shot and you need a new one." She pointed me to the area where they displayed fabric suitable for outdoor weather exposure and started to explain repeating vs non-repeating designs, and once she realized I was lost, we agreed I would pick out what I liked and she would then tell me whether the pattern would work. They have a lot of fabric. I mean, a whole lot. And with different price ranges. I enjoyed the process of looking at the fabrics, almost like a kid in a candy store except this wasn't candy. Now, I know what I like and what I don't and what is our taste and not, but I'm no design queen, even if I am a gayboy. We found what we wanted and ELYSE ALBERT, who was assisting us, shlepped that roll of fabric to a measuring area, measured it up, and explained that she would give me the extra fabric beyond what I needed because it was the end of the Roll. Elyse was spunky. She was funny. She was helpful. She was chill. She was articulate. She was into what she was doing. She even had a party nail (girls will know what that is), and she has been in this business for 33 years. She knows how to handle the Boca crowd and that's not easy. I was an easy client. She works Monday Friday and Saturday. Go and ask her her. You will not regret the experience. By the way, I was directed to their workshop when first entering the store, as I needed to know how much Fabric Was needed and how much the reupholstery would cost. Boca Bargoons staff doesn't measure how much fabric any specific job requires. You either need to know that or the workshop will advise. I'm excited about my new cushion, and I decided to have three pillows done also. I'll post when done. So if you got a dated sofa or chair or whatever, get it reupholstered. Linda, the manager is dishonest. She acts sweet then switches the material to one that is defective, and when I returned it the very next day, she yelled like a crazy woman that the material came from somewhere else, not her store. Then, she quietly refunded my money because she knew she had switched the material to another one of the same color that was defective--not the one that I had thought I was buying. What a shame she is so dishonest! Shop elsewhere or be especially careful of this dishonest woman! read more

Brought in the chair for reupholstering. On receipt we noticed defective workmanship and brought the chair back. It needed new fabric (they provided the original). They couldn't get the same fabric, and didn't if tell us. We called for months. Finally we went in to get our chair back and didn't even get an apology. They have nonsensical policies for customer service. My mother bought fabric which never left the store or was cut from the roll. We can't use it because my mother has terminal cancer and they charged us a 20% "restocking fee" to reverse the purchase - i.e. - a 20% fee for writing the order on a piece of paper. I went to the store which was not in compliance with wearing masks. I was very uncomfortable being in there. I asked them to put on a mask. Response was I'm eating lunch. What is this have to do when there's an epidemic in this world and she's sitting having lunch while people walking in with masks and basically protecting them. I purchased my product and I promise myself I will never step foot in that store with such ignorant employees. Also there are other store across the street which is like a Home Goods. Finally. I was able to travel to Florida -- My poor husband has to walk around the store with his walker. He was so tired -eventually had to sit in car. They did let me spend the amount of the exchange. It would have been good business to refund me what I was due or at least send me a store credit that I could use at my convenience. They insisted i can go to the store any time to use the exchange $- but I seriously didnt think I make it back to Florida until next season. Anything could happen in life (trust me I know first hand) - the store could have been sold - the owner could get sick ..... and next season they could conveniently forget about my exchange I simple store credit mailed to me or the refund I was due would have been a smart business move. read more

I have used BB for years for window treatment fabric. I love the way BB has their fabric separated by color. I have never seen this before in any fabric store. It's a great first stop if you want to change up a room and need ideas of which direction to go. The back area is a sales area and again separated by color. A true delight to the senses to shop here. I should have read other reviews first...i bought expensive "hide" to cover bar stools and they directed me to BB workroom. First mistake. They ruined the material- had to order more- and 3 months later i still do not have the bar stools. They are disorganized, poorly run, not accountable, and rude. Started out good with the initial consultation in my home to do draperies for 2 windows. Went downhill from there. Got scolded in the fabric showroom for cutting a sample to big. But they gave me scissors and said cut myself some samples. So I did. Drapes took 4 months to complete. They said 6 to 8 weeks when I signed up. Installation was terrible. They had to come back 3 times because of mistakes. And the drapes are still too long and don't close properly. I gave up trying to get them perfect. Unhappy with end product. read more

I went to Boca Bargoons to buy fabric to re-cover my dining room chairs. I was greeted by Elyse who was very welcoming and not at all pushy but extremely helpful. I was not sure of what i exactly wanted so I was very undecided. Elyse was very knowledgeable about the inventory. I told her what I thought I wanted and she showed me many choices. I finally decided on a textured leather type of fabric and it was much less than I expected to pay to do 6 chairs. I was so happy to receive such wonderful help and after I made my purchase I was sent over to BB Workroom with the fabric and my seats. Everyone at BB was so friendly and helpful. They told me it would take a little over a week to complete the seats. I gave them 5 of the six and when they had one done, they called me so I could bring in the last seat. (I did need one to sit on). I was so happy when I installed the seat that I couldn't wait to get the rest. They did an excellent job and I am one happy customer for sure. Great fabric selection and discount prices for discontinued patterns, but DO NOT GO to their BB Workroom for fabrication. BB Workroom is a rip off and wanted to charge me 300% more than what I paid at another fabricator to sew 4 seams on a pair of curtains. When I complained to the owner about the price, she was rude. I later found out she is the wife of the Bargoon's manager or owner, so they get a steady stream of customers who are then paying the highest prices around for their work. Don't get ripped off. Skip this whole place since the other reviews are also bad. read more

This review is about BB Workroom, the upholsterer recommended by Boca Bargoons. Unlike Patricia, I have used the workroom several times and found them to be excellent at everything they do. They offer a fast return when possible, do superior work at reasonable prices, and are helpful to their customers. I just picked up 4 reupholstered seats that have to be screwed onto the frames. To make the customer's job easier they even marked where the screws go on the backing. I strongly recommend BB Workroom for small jobs as well as the big ones. read more

The salesperson and the manager at the store helping us with fabric selection were terrific personable helpful professional and efficient. Our experience at the workroom was equally positive. They finished our items very quickly in fact much sooner than had been promised so we are very happy customers and would highly recommend these two businesses. Stay as far as you can from Boca Bargoons including even worse their related upolster company, B & B, Workroom, Robyn and Bernie who own B & B and Bernie is the brother of the owner of Boca Bargoons. They are no doubt complicit in their business. First, you order new fabric and they install defective fabric through B & B and they know it is defective. They attempt to conceal their deception. I found out first hand by speaking with two employees who delivered the furniture who told me they didnt want to deliver the furniture because the fabric was riddled with defects and the upholstery was even worse. They told me that the owners of B & B knew of the serious issues and insisted it be delivered. They thought they could get away with it. We insisted that Bernie came to our house so we could show him what he did to our furniture. When he came approx 25 minutes after the furniture was delivered he looked at the work including the fabric and stated with a straight face that everything was perfect. Luckily for me I had 3 witnesses including another upholsterer who made our curtains and they were all shocked of how dishonest he was. When you enter the store you feel secure because Boca Bargoons is impressive, however, the problem is, the brother Bernie from B & B whose Brother owns Boca Bargoons is riding on the coat tails of his successful brother but in the meantime he is destroying his brothers good name and reputation. They also made so many promises as to delivery and in every instance had transparent excuses. They destroyed my very expensive furniture. It is only a function of time when his brother will cut Bernie loose. I would strongly urge that you stay as far away as you can. Read the other reviews this is no coincidence. Buyer Beware!!! I ordered fabric from Boca Bargoons and had BB workroom make my curtains. I ordered and paid for them in October. We are now in February (5 months later!!!!) I have yet to see my curtains. Robyn is full of excuses - her installer has the flu, she wasn't happy with the product so they are re-doing, they are currently working on another project (what, from September????). Of course, I go in person to complain because she doesn't answer the phone. And when I do complain, she says she'll call me right back yet nothing!!!! STAY AWAY!!!
