I was surprised to discover that my Costco offers Safeguard, a full service travel immunization program. I went onto the Costco website, locating the pharmacy. I paid $39.99 for their Full Service Travel Medicine Consultation Program, by SafeGard. I logged on, uploaded my drivers license, answered pages of questions about my health, immunizations and the dates and countries I will be visiting. I uploaded the voucher number verifying that I paid and within 24 hours I received an overwhelming 68 page travel booklet with 14 pages of specific physician recommendations. I reviewed the recommendation & reached out to the company I will be touring with before scheduling an appointment with Costco. All prescriptions & vaccine recommendations from my consultation were sent directly to the Boca Raton Costco Pharmacy which I selected. I contacted the pharmacy & scheduled an appointment to receive my prescriptions & vaccinations. The pharmacist gave me information regarding pricing & insurance coverage. Happily our insurance is covering all of the needed medication. Today at the pharmacy, we met with Laura. She had our documentation on hand and we created a plan to get all the needed injections and pills for our vacation. We filled out some paperwork and handed over our Insurance and Pharmacy cards. We sat on the side of the Pharmacy and received our first set of injections today. Laura was quick, gentle and painless.

I have faced discrimination, mistreatment, and harassment from managers and employees. One supervisor, Stu, harassed me many times -- today he ran around me in the parking lot trying to intimidate me for no reason. I reported him to Costco corporate in Seattle and nothing changed; the intimidation got worse. An employee named Pascal almost hit me and was very aggressive. A gas station employee (tall Black Rasta Jamaican) walked around my car while I was pumping gas and tried to intimidate me. I will not be coming back. ---

The layout is a bit different from other locations, but the aisles are clearly and accurately labeled, which makes shopping much easier. A lot of stores miss this, so I really appreciated it. About 80 percent of the items I was looking for were in stock. The other 20 percent were not, which tends to be the usual hit or miss with BJ's. On the plus side, they had several items I did not even realize they carried, and at significantly lower prices compared to online or other retail stores. The lines were not too bad, and there were multiple registers open for convenience. They also offer store pickup and curbside options, which is a great bonus. Parking was easy as well. I usually drag my Grandson to follow me with an extra cart. Hate it, it's not my thing, Today I Discovered Costcos delivery service through Instacart. Same day delivery shopping. so I thought to give it a try and to be honest this will be my go to service to get my Costco goods to my house without all the hassles of store visits. I Put in my first order today just to try and experience the service. I Bought 10 cases of Costco 40 count water bottles. 1 extra large tin of coffee and 2 big bounty paper towel packs- they were marked down as a special today so I got 2 big packs. Impulse buy! Didn't need but the price was right so I got a few. When I logged into the Costco site Bounty Towel deal was a highlighted item for the day. I followed my shopper on the app and to be honest the delivery came fast and on time. The Price was right and I didn't need to get in my car to fight the chaos at the store. Delivery and tip is included in the cost. Prices are a bit higher but not much than store prices. The small increase Pays for the delivery and tip which is included in the price. Now that I know I have this service available I look forward to shopping bigger store hauls. Instacart service is included in your Costco membership. Check it out.

They used to have beautiful fresh fruits and vegetables, a nice freezer section. I even bought a tomato tree here once. I don't come often since it's not close, but every once in a while when I'm going to Costco, I'll just drive down a little bit further and stop in and pick up some things. I was so disappointed today. They've gotten rid of 99% of freezer section and they have the old cases for sale, so that's the end of that. Today they had long tables of garbage thrown on top and I'm not quite sure what it was, but people were digging through like it was some flea market garage sale. The entire store has changed and in my opinion not for the better. I was able to pick up a couple of avocados at 3 for a $1, a bag of potatoes so I can make mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving, some tomatoes, and that's about it. I did notice that they had a table full of hot pickle tomatoes that expired 9/20/2025 so that did it for me. I don't understand why you would put out food no matter what price it is, after the expiration date. The other thing that bothered me was the 4% fee for credit card. I know as a fact, if you have the right credit card processing you pay 1.9%. They also had a tip jar at the check out...for what... so the salaried employee can slide your purchases across a scanner and you can put the items in the bags you bring. No one packs your bags here and they don't even have plastic or paper bags. With all the fees, the prices aren't any less than TJs or Aldi. I know now, I don't ever have to drive down here again.

The 99 Cent Farmer's Market in Pompano blew me away with its gorgeous fruit selection, super fresh herbs, and all kinds of miscellaneous goodies -- all at unbelievably low prices. And as a sweet surprise, we were given a free pumpkin on our way out! The staff made the experience even better.
