I cannot recommend this shop enough! My husband and I came here for a quick chain fix and to add a pendant to it and the owner was so helpful and did it right on the spot. He is affordable and extremely knowledgeable on all things jewelry. He even has a little collection of gold chains for sale in the front. I will defintely be back for any of my jewelry needs and fixing. My husband has been coming to him for years and after my experience with him today I will be coming to him for years to come! I brought my watch in to get fixed. He claimed it was water damaged and agreed to order replacement parts from the manufacturer if he could not effect repairs himself. Every time I checked on the status there was another reason why he needed more time. Finally, after 7 weeks and several promised call-backs that were never made by the shop's owner/operator, he told me he couldn't find where he had put the watch and I agreed he should look further and call me back. Before I could once again give him my number he put the phone down and started taking care of a customer who had just walked in. After 7 minutes listening to him talk to this new customer I hung up and redialed. When he answered his response was incredibly rude and dismissive. After a brief argument over his actions I hung up, went to the shop and picked up my watch. Needless to say, NOTHING had been done. He had neither fixed the watch himself nor had he sent for replacement parts from the manufacturer as promised. Bottom line - this shop is unreliable and the owner rude and unprofessional. went here twice. first time i waited 30 minutes for the owner to show up, even tho the hours says he opens at 12:30. then. he charged me $10 to put two pins in watches. literally 3 minutes work. total ripoff. i got home i saw he put the watchbands on backwards. went back again several days later and arrived at 12:45pm. and what do you know? the owner not there again. waitted for 15 min. never showed up. called. no answer. texted, no reply. in my opinion, he is unreliable and rude. he cant even show up to his own shop on time and to top it off, he is a ripoff. read more

Before you go to this Shop, I have two recommendations: 1- Check the location on Google Earth so you will know, in advance, exactly where you are going OR enter the location your GPS. 2- Call before going because Tom's hours are "flexible". Make an appointment. I have had a heavy 18 carat gold Cuban Link Men's bracelet for about 50 years. I never take it off but I recently had to because the catch broke. In looking for a Jeweler to repair the catch I came across a listing for "The Goldsmith Shop" on NE 2nd Avenue in Delray Beach. Tom, the Owner and Goldsmith replaced the catch, two small "safety" latches, and polished the bracelet which now looks like new. He took the time to discuss the bracelet with me as well as what it needed and what he was going to do. I left the bracelet with him. He called me later that same day to inform me the repair had been completed. I picked it up the next day. He did a beautiful, meticulous job. I am 100% satisfied and pleased with the quality of his work and recommend him highly to anyone who has jewelry that needs repair. The Shop is easy to get to and there should be no problem parking which is off street. Reminder: I recommend calling ahead to make an appointment because his shop hours are limited. read more

Disappointed because a lapis stone fell out of my ring and I called the shop to see if it could be replaced. He said he could order the stone and I went out of my way to go there at the time it said the shop opened and it was closed. I called up and the owner said he had stuff to do at home. He'd be there in an hour. We'll I had an appointment and couldn't wait. I don't think it's right to list hours and not adhere to them. He could have told me he wouldn't be in at the listed time. Found this gem in Pineapple Grove. The owner was so nice and fixed my Mothers bracelet perfectly. He needed to add a gold bracket and fix the bracket that locks it. Very reasonable. The day I picked my bracelet up, my watch battery stopped so going again next week and taking more jewelry to be fixed. Hard to find. It's in a white building with a parking lot with a salon sign and his but the building is full of suites. read more

I used to drive up to West Palm Beach to a jeweler I'd used for years, but happened by this shop near where I live. I decided to give it a shot so I wouldn't have to drive so far. All I needed was to check out my old string pearl necklaces. I remembered I'd gotten one from my husband 30 years ago. I may have gotten the other from my mother that had originally been her mother's, but they didn't have much money so it was questionable to me. The owner was very nice and happy to accommodate me. He taught me how to tell if a pearl is real or not which was great to know. He carefully examined both strands and told me which necklace had real pearls and that the other did not. He didn't charge me anything, and I was very happy to so quickly and easily be assured of what I have. He's earned my trust, and I'll be right back here next time I have a jewelry need. read more

Be sure to ask price before he does the work! I had a battery replaced in my gold watch and decided to have it cleaned, along with my wedding band, and 2 dainty chain necklaces I was wearing. He did the work right away, which was nice. I stood and watched; it took him 20 minutes max. When he charged me $91, I almost fainted! When I told him how surprised I was, he said I was the first to ever question his prices. He then went on to say he gave my jewelry a deep-cleaning, rather than a "surface" cleaning. I suggested he explain that to his next customer BEFORE doing the work. If I had been given a choice and understood the difference in price, I would have chosen the "surface" cleaning. read more

A small space cluttered with the tools of the trade, and nestled among a bunch of independent hair salons, it's a little surprising at first-- but Tom is a craftsman, and this is his workshop.
