10/10 the menu is well curated, so many options to accommodate a variety of tastes. The bread is so fresh and delicious. I would recommend this place for breakfast and lunch 100%. So good I went back for 2 days in a row

what a gem of a place. The breakfast are amazing and the pastries were phenomenal. Their coffee from their espresso bar is delicious as well.. I bought a little of everything. Avocado toast, eggs in a jar and lots of pastries and cookies. They were all delicious and I can't wait to go back. Staff was very friendly too. Beautiful comfortable outside dining

    Welcome to Bob's WELL BREAD.

Bob's We'll Bread Bakery is a cozy corner cafe and bakery offering a delightful and fresh english muffins, breads, croissant etc. They're located at the corner of Baseline ave and Cottonwood st deep in residential area of Ballard CA. I came on a cool, overcast Saturday morning. It was just a two minute walk from the house I stayed. It's a popular local bakery and hence a line already formed outside. They only a few customers at a time given its a small bakery store. So be prepared to wait but it moves pretty fast. After perusing their menu, I ordered a few breakfast items: Avocado toasts x pack egg, cafe latte, and an english muffin. Coffee was nice. Food was good especially the EM. It's so bloody fresh 'n warm and huge. Staff was cordial and professional. Prices were highly expensive. For instance, an extra poached egg cost $3 quid. Atmosphere was relaxing with abundant of natural light. Parking lot available. Loo was artsy, neat and odorless. Merch available for purchase. Overall, I had a fine breakfast. I recommend you visit if your on the area.

The sausage was very tasty and I love the bread, but the beans weren't cooked all the way and lacked flavor. I probably wouldn't return to this place but it was the only breakfast place open in Los Alamos while we were there.

A 6 inch sandwich. Some bad lettuce in the salad. Good thing is I'm not full.

Well we've stayed across the street from Bobs at the Ballard which is awesome Sunday thru Thursday because it's usually almost 2x on the weekend. Not staying there this visit but we thought we would try the famous "Bobs Well Bread". Place is oozing hipster dufus vibes. Man buns are still in style and so is wearing a mask in some cases I guess. Place is style over substance. If the service was a little less aloof and the portions were maybe 20% larger it wouldn't hurt. Had a turkey sandwich with side salad, Italian chopped salad and glass (child's size) of fresh OJ. After the minimum tip of 15% I was around $47. Just spent $120 at Mattie's Tavern yesterday so I don't mind paying more for something special but none of this was special. The salad wasn't super acidic and overly dressed and I like more dressing in general. Some of the lettuce had the aging brown spots (yummy) just below average for a $20 lunch salad. The turkey sandwich was simple and maybe the smallest single sandwich I have eaten out for lunch. It was very simple dresses with what seemed a skosh of Dijon. It was edible but nothing special. Looks like they were doing a nice business for a weekday and I'm guessing people are driving to get there (not sure why). I can only guess for the "Cool place to hang" coffee house vibe. Sit down with your laptop and get down to writing your movie script! I can now check that box thanking been here. Wish it were better. Oh and the Oj which was at mist 6 ounces tastes off and room temp. The good thing is portions were so small I didn't get full for dinner!

My brother-in-law always makes a stop here when driving from SF to LA. I found myself in the area for work, and made the effort to find it. I'm so glad that I did! While I didn't dine in, there is plenty of space for that (indoors & outdoors available) & the atmosphere is inviting. I got several items to go: Plain bagels Sesame bagels Cinnamon sugar morning bun Croissant Ham & cheese croissant Baguette EVERYTHING was fantastic! I'm already planning my return trip

We stopped here in our way to Santa Barbara for a quick bite. Let me tell you that it was a surprise to us to see so many yummy pastries in the place from outside it doesn't seem very promising but WOW. I want to order everything in here that all I can say.definitely worth a visit if you're around here.

We actually did not buy their bread directly from them, but enjoyed it at a local restaurant that is a customer of theirs, SY Restaurant. The bread was phenomenal! Of so delicious! The restaurant serves it with salted butter, olive oil, and a chili sauce to choose from and or mix and match as you like. So wonderful!

Food snobs take note: if you should decide to find a decent breakfast (locals only) while on a weekend trip to Solvang, please take yourself out of town, away from the pull aparts and the donuts and the little Danish pastries and make the short but oh so necessary drive to Bob's. This place came recommended when I asked about a "real" loaf of bread nearby and man did I get one. Or two. And breakfast. And lunch. The staff is friendly, helpful and proud of their wares. The food is top notch. The setting gorgeous. Get there early, stroll Ballard and settle in for some true delights.

Highly recommended spot to visit, and it did not disappoint. Long line promises this is a good spot, but thankfully it moves quickly. Fresh bread and baked goods. The smells are inviting,

Love this place for breakfast or lunch. My wife and I had the Reuben and meat loaf sandwich for a quiet lunch and both were delicious.

The baked goods are really good (get the sticky bun and morning roll) and the lunch menu is varied, something for everyone. Delicious. 2) The loaf of bread w/ bacon (lardon maybe?)-- had it with a sandwich or something and brought a loaf home the first trip. My household and I wish I had bought 5 loaves. Excellent. Sad they did not have it this visit. 3) Egg in jar and egg in frame- excellent reviews from whoever in our group ordered them. (I didnt have them but hope to next visit.) Outdoor seating/large patio is great. The not so great is totally outshined by the good, but will mention in case you're on the fence about what to get. -The sweets/baked goods in the display are maybe average, since I don't recall what I had from the first trip- but remembered not being crazy about it, so I thought I'd play it safe with 2 big cookies. Chocolate chunk cookie was good- a solid choice if you love a lot of chocolate. Pistachio shortbread cookie: I'd remove it from the menu. It tastes neither like pistachio nor shortbread (which is disappointing since I love both). It also had rosemary or something herb-y that I wasn't expecting- and wouldn't be opposed to anyway- but the cookie was a total miss. Service: super upbeat and fantastic in Feb. Tepid but fine this week. I want to give it 5 stars despite the items I didn't love. Because 5 months later- all I could think about was Lavender Fog and bacon bread loaf. But I know I wasn't crazy about 40-50% of what I tried so far. And that pistachio cookie was a pretty solid fail. I'll def be back and hope both my faves plus egg in jar are still there!

We absolutely love the corgi theme. It adds so much personality and charm to the space without feeling gimmicky. The shop has a cozy ambiance, but the standout feature for us was the huge back patio. The patio covers provide plenty of shade so the sun does not feel overwhelming, and the WiFi was strong and reliable. We ordered hibiscus iced teas, and they were delicious. My barista informed that all drinks are two shots so I would recommend the 12oz instead of the 16oz or ask for an extra shot if you're a caffeine lover. There is a great outdoor space for the nice days and a cozy bookstore area for those looking for a calmer atmosphere. Restroom is clean but there is only one as far as I saw which thankfully was not busy. Parking is all residential but it seems like there is plenty and for those looking to do work on their laptops there are definitely plenty of outlets so enjoy. Thanks Lefty's, maybe I'll stop in next time I'm in the area.
