    Turkey sandwich with fries
    Anthony L.

We were hoping to catch the tail end of breakfast, but were sadly too late. Plenty on Bell has friendly service and good food. I ordered a Lavender latte and the Quackenbush Turkey sandwich. I would come back just for that latte. The sandwich was good, but a little dry. I'm sure this restaurant would've gotten 5 stars had I got to breakfast in time. The server even mentioned we should come for breakfast. Biscuits and gravy and the hash were the recommendations. Definitely willing to come back again and try breakfast. But for now it's still a solid 4 stars.

Outside patio. In late October it was perfect weather.

We stopped here for a late breakfast. First of all, our waitress was so happy and cheerful! She reminded us of Elsbeth! After checking out of a hotel where the front desk was very cranky, she was a breath of fresh air. Excellent service. We sat on the pleasant patio. We all ordered the two egg breakfast. Crispy potatoes, with pillow softness inside. Perfect eggs. A large serving of excellent quality bacon. And yummy sourdough toast. Our only minor disappointment was that with this excellent sourdough toast, they served little packets of Smuckers jam. We were really expecting some yummy quality or homemade preserves! We had a lovely time and will absolutely be back.

My girlfriend and I met at Plenty on Bell as it was halfway between our homes. The service was excellent and I forgot to get the servers name. She was very friendly and helpful. I had two eggs over medium the sausage, patty, potatoes, and sourdough toast. In the picture, I started eating and forgot to take a picture. My girlfriend had the avocado toast and an egg. She had tea and I had coffee, which was very good, and they had my raw sugar which I like. The sausage was OK. It kind of reminded me a little bit like hamburger. Everything else was great. It's a cute place. Very welcoming. You go outside to go to the bathroom, which is no big deal. They have an outside area where you could also eat, but it was not very warm yet. Oh, we both got a scone to go, mine was raspberry, and hers was blueberry. They look good. I will eat mine maybe tomorrow.

The service we had from the waitress was wonderful. She was so joyful and gave great recommendations. She was attentive but also gave us time and didn't rush us. We ate breakfast on a Wednesday morning and we were the only few people there. I ordered Joes scramble - delicious. Plenty of food and very flavorful. My husband ordered the short rib scramble. Both very filling and delicious. The fennel sausage was unique and tasty. We will be back again!

Cute atmosphere and great service to match. I ordered biscuits and gravy. I wasn't a fan. I usually like biscuits and gravy but this had a different taste. Maybe because it also had ham. They have a dog friendly patio yet let people bring their dog inside.

Food: 4.5. Came by Saturday around 11:20 am. There is inside and outside seating. Place was mostly empty. We were greeted upon entering and were told to seat ourselves. We picked a table in the patio. I ordered their Jesper's Short Rib Hash ($18). Food came out timely and at the right temperature. Short rib pieces were tender and flavorful. Potatoes were nice and crispy. Eggs were cooked as requested. Toast was a bit too toasted. Service was friendly and efficient.

Very cute place to eat and get coffee. I got a lavender latte. It's delicious. It's very cute inside and outdoor seating. Has a varied menu. So if you need to stop on your way up the coast or down the coast in California, this is a cute place to stop.

Plenty On Bell is in the small community of Los Alamos, located within the wine country of the Santa Ynez Valley. Their lunch offerings are dressed up classic American fare, i.e. burgers, sandwiches, salads, and desserts. They are open for breakfast and lunch daily, except on Fridays, they also offer dinner service. The Plenty Burger was thick and juicy and is cooked to one's preference. It was excellent, as were the included fries. The Avocado Toast had grilled tomatoes, which added an enhanced flavor addition to the entree. The poached eggs were a nice addition. However, the amount of avocado was quite lacking. Service was prompt, and all employees were extremely friendly and attentive. The ambiance is enhanced by the rustic interior. There is also patio dining, where furry companions are allowed. Don't forget to use the Yelp check-in appreciation offer of a "free beverage with any entree" from Plenty On Bell and Yelp.

Very good pancake and nice size.

Coffee good, OJ fresh, prices ok, portions for breakfast not very big. Service good. Ordered the short rib hash and it was very good. The potatoes were surprisingly good as I like them well done and highly seasoned and they came that way without required. Service was very good and perky. I have to say that I can only guess that my scrambled eggs were a mistake. Looked like they started making fried eggs and forgot I ordered scrambles and instead of starting over properly they just whisked them while on the flat top. Looked like a hot mess of egg whites and some cooked yolks. Really should have pointed it out but figure it took a 4.5 to a 4. I would also say the number of short rib pieces were not abundant. The meat was good but I could count how many small chunks of meat were on my plate. Had a good pancake though so would definitely recommend this place as it has a quaint vibe but the food is better cheaper and larger at Charlie's down the street. Service isn't as good and zero charm. I suggest going to both.

We started with Bloody Marys, which were insanely good. They were out of the Verde, but the bartender improvised and made us something even better. It came with what might be the best bacon I've ever had, which is a bold claim but I stand by it. He even came out to check on us and talk through what he was testing. We loved them. We ordered the deviled eggs with trout roe, which were to die for. Highly recommend. Then we split the breakfast sandwich. They divided it in the kitchen and brought it out with two side salads, which is always such a nice touch. Service was incredible, the atmosphere was lovely, and the whole thing felt a little indulgent in the best way. Exactly what you want on a beautiful spring day in Santa Ynez. We arrived a little bit early to our reservation, and even though the restaurant was only about 20% full, we waited for about 10 minutes for someone to check us in. We were seated at the high top tables. We started off with the Roasted Cauliflower with miso white bean puree, arugula, chimichurri, and pecorino panko crumbs. The dish comes with large florets of cauliflower, so we had to cut it up into smaller pieces. For my entree, I got the Local Miso Black Cod with spinach, sesame dressing, and miso butter. The fish was moist and flakey. I enjoyed it! I also tried the New Zealand Rack of Lamb that had asparagus ratatouille, crispy potatoes, and lamb jus. This dish was not bad, but the portion seemed a bit small for the price.

They promise to bring you bold flavors using fresh seasonal ingredients in an elegant but approachable space. The Good: * Reservations via OpenTable™ * Free street and city lot parking nearby. * Dog-friendly outdoor dining * Right on the downtown strip in Solvang, next to our favorite bakery. * Nasi Goreng (Indonesian Fried Rice) was delicious and hit all the right notes. The fried chicken add-on was a different story, though... See below. * Caesar Salad had a delicious flavor, but Carissa found the salad to be a bit overdressed for her liking. I didn't mind it, but I like an obscene amount of dressing on my salads, so go figure? Salmon was a little undercooked for her liking, but again, I wouldn't mind it a bit pink. So, comme ci, comme ça. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The Meh: * Not all the outdoor spaces are shaded/covered. * Prices are a bit absurd for certain items. Yeah, I know it's über-touristy Solvang, but jfc. $12-14 for a beer? And don't get me started on $12 for some of the blandest and most minuscule serving of fried chicken ever. * We arrived ten minutes early for our reservation, and the hostess seemed very annoyed that we were. In fact, she made us wait until it was time for our reservation to the very minute--despite the restaurant being at less than 10% capacity. * Service wasn't horrible, but I wouldn't say it was good, either. More on this below. The Ugly: * I ordered the Hazy IPA they had on tap, and when it arrived, I could tell it wasn't a particularly "hazy" Hazy IPA. But I figured some are better than others. For my second drink, I asked for the Clown Shoes IPA they had in a can. When the waitress returned with it, she admitted that the first beer she'd brought me was actually the same Clown Shoes IPA. Apparently, they'd run out of the Hazy IPA and decided to make the substitution without asking me. It's not a huge deal--I probably would have made the same substitution myself--but I definitely wouldn't have ordered a second one if I'd known it was the only IPA they had in-house. Like I said, it's not the end of the world, but for some reason, it just feels a little devious. Would they have made a substitution without asking a wine connoisseur? I would hope not, but now it kind of makes you wonder. Conclusion: Not a great experience here, from the hostess to the waitress to the food. I wish them luck.
