Outside patio. In late October it was perfect weather.

We stopped here for a late breakfast. First of all, our waitress was so happy and cheerful! She reminded us of Elsbeth! After checking out of a hotel where the front desk was very cranky, she was a breath of fresh air. Excellent service. We sat on the pleasant patio. We all ordered the two egg breakfast. Crispy potatoes, with pillow softness inside. Perfect eggs. A large serving of excellent quality bacon. And yummy sourdough toast. Our only minor disappointment was that with this excellent sourdough toast, they served little packets of Smuckers jam. We were really expecting some yummy quality or homemade preserves! We had a lovely time and will absolutely be back.

The service we had from the waitress was wonderful. She was so joyful and gave great recommendations. She was attentive but also gave us time and didn't rush us. We ate breakfast on a Wednesday morning and we were the only few people there. I ordered Joes scramble - delicious. Plenty of food and very flavorful. My husband ordered the short rib scramble. Both very filling and delicious. The fennel sausage was unique and tasty. We will be back again!

My girlfriend and I met at Plenty on Bell as it was halfway between our homes. The service was excellent and I forgot to get the servers name. She was very friendly and helpful. I had two eggs over medium the sausage, patty, potatoes, and sourdough toast. In the picture, I started eating and forgot to take a picture. My girlfriend had the avocado toast and an egg. She had tea and I had coffee, which was very good, and they had my raw sugar which I like. The sausage was OK. It kind of reminded me a little bit like hamburger. Everything else was great. It's a cute place. Very welcoming. You go outside to go to the bathroom, which is no big deal. They have an outside area where you could also eat, but it was not very warm yet. Oh, we both got a scone to go, mine was raspberry, and hers was blueberry. They look good. I will eat mine maybe tomorrow.

Cute atmosphere and great service to match. I ordered biscuits and gravy. I wasn't a fan. I usually like biscuits and gravy but this had a different taste. Maybe because it also had ham. They have a dog friendly patio yet let people bring their dog inside.

Food: 4.5. Came by Saturday around 11:20 am. There is inside and outside seating. Place was mostly empty. We were greeted upon entering and were told to seat ourselves. We picked a table in the patio. I ordered their Jesper's Short Rib Hash ($18). Food came out timely and at the right temperature. Short rib pieces were tender and flavorful. Potatoes were nice and crispy. Eggs were cooked as requested. Toast was a bit too toasted. Service was friendly and efficient.

Very cute place to eat and get coffee. I got a lavender latte. It's delicious. It's very cute inside and outdoor seating. Has a varied menu. So if you need to stop on your way up the coast or down the coast in California, this is a cute place to stop.

This is a new fave! Such a little hidden gem in the cutest little town! Fantastic service and food was amazing! Be sure to save room for the carrot cake!

We stopped here on our way home for a quick bite! I ordered the ahi sandwich very tasty well seasoned Husband ordered the burger he said it was good We ordered the sweet potato croquettes and shared. Service was quick We were hungry so forgot to take before pics

Very good pancake and nice size.

Coffee good, OJ fresh, prices ok, portions for breakfast not very big. Service good. Ordered the short rib hash and it was very good. The potatoes were surprisingly good as I like them well done and highly seasoned and they came that way without required. Service was very good and perky. I have to say that I can only guess that my scrambled eggs were a mistake. Looked like they started making fried eggs and forgot I ordered scrambles and instead of starting over properly they just whisked them while on the flat top. Looked like a hot mess of egg whites and some cooked yolks. Really should have pointed it out but figure it took a 4.5 to a 4. I would also say the number of short rib pieces were not abundant. The meat was good but I could count how many small chunks of meat were on my plate. Had a good pancake though so would definitely recommend this place as it has a quaint vibe but the food is better cheaper and larger at Charlie's down the street. Service isn't as good and zero charm. I suggest going to both.

My husband and I got married at Plenty on Bell, it was absolutely perfect! From the wedding planning, decorations, food, and day of - it was amazing. Christine, Chef Jesper, and all staff were so friendly to all of our guests we had at the wedding. We can't wait to keep visiting Plenty on Bell!

Plenty On Bell is in the small community of Los Alamos, located within the wine country of the Santa Ynez Valley. Their lunch offerings are dressed up classic American fare, i.e. burgers, sandwiches, salads, and desserts. They are open for breakfast and lunch daily, except on Fridays, they also offer dinner service. The Plenty Burger was thick and juicy and is cooked to one's preference. It was excellent, as were the included fries. The Avocado Toast had grilled tomatoes, which added an enhanced flavor addition to the entree. The poached eggs were a nice addition. However, the amount of avocado was quite lacking. Service was prompt, and all employees were extremely friendly and attentive. The ambiance is enhanced by the rustic interior. There is also patio dining, where furry companions are allowed. Don't forget to use the Yelp check-in appreciation offer of a "free beverage with any entree" from Plenty On Bell and Yelp.

I found this place on social media and knew I had to try it, especially the "egg in a jar" with purple potatoes and toast soldiers (I can never resist a purple potato or a fun name). The space is small and charming with plenty of outdoor parking. They have a lovely outdoor dining area with lots of seating. You order inside at the counter, get a number, and they bring everything out to you. The menu is full of delicious, bready dishes, and I loved that they offer a wide selection of coffee drinks -- even matcha. You can find macchiatos, cortados, and more here. We ordered the egg in a jar with toast soldiers, a baguette sandwich, a matcha latte, a cappuccino, and of course a chocolate croissant to go as a sweet treat for the road. If I could afford the calories of eating bread every day, I'd be here daily. Every bread item we tried was incredible. The croissant was buttery and flaky, exactly as it should be. The baguette sandwich had the perfect balance of crunch and softness. And the toast soldiers were the ideal size and texture for scooping up the cheesy, creamy, eggy goodness in the jar. We visited on a Monday and it wasn't too busy. Staff was very friendly. If I lived closer, I'd be grabbing fresh bread from here all the time. A must‑stop for any bread lover exploring the area.

The potatoes were rich and comforting, topped with a perfectly poached egg and crispy bacon that blended together in every bite. It was indulgent without feeling too heavy, just incredibly satisfying. The grilled bread served on the side deserves special mention because it was honestly some of the best bread I've had. It was grilled beautifully with great flavor and texture, and it was perfect for scooping up every last bite. I also had to try some of the baked goods before leaving, and they were just as impressive as the savory food. You can really taste the care and quality in everything they make. The service was efficient and straightforward. It wasn't overly warm or chatty, but it also wasn't unfriendly. They seemed focused on getting orders out quickly and keeping things moving. The ambiance really made the experience even better. We sat on the covered outdoor patio, which was comfortable and inviting. There is also plenty of uncovered outdoor seating, while the indoor space is limited to one large communal table. The patio is definitely the way to go. This place has high reviews for a reason. The food is truly amazing, thoughtful, flavorful, and absolutely worth the visit. I will definitely be back

They offer an à la carte lunch and a prix‑fixe dinner. Bell's is run by husband‑and‑wife duo Daisy and Greg Ryan, and their menu changes daily with a focus on locally sourced ingredients. They include a 20% service charge to support equitable wages and their staff -- and you can genuinely feel how much they care about their team, their farmers, and their artisan partners. The love for their craft shows in everything. Our experience: We were seated quickly and welcomed with a glass of champagne in honor of our anniversary -- such a thoughtful touch. They brought our pup Enzo a water bowl right away. Our server walked us through the menu, answered all our questions, and checked in about dietary restrictions. We ordered the steak frites and the salad with chicken added. For drinks, we had a chilled red, an iced tea, and a vermouth‑based cocktail. The salad was incredible -- perfectly bitter greens balanced with citrus and just the right amount of dressing. The steak was tender and juicy, and the fries were thin, crispy, and addictive. This was an excellent experience from start to finish. We'd love to come back to try their ever‑changing menu and the prix‑fixe dinner. A must‑visit in Los Alamos -- truly unforgettable.

Meanwhile, I went for the Nachos Supreme, and let me tell you, they are hands down the best nachos I've ever had at 70 years old! The chips were perfectly crisp, topped with homemade refried beans, creamy sour cream, cheese, fresh guacamole, and chopped tomatoes. Each bite was a flavor explosion! The restaurant itself isn't flashy; in fact, it took us a moment to spot the sign, which was partly hidden by a hedge. But stepping inside was a treat! We chose to sit in the charming garden, where a lovely mural added to the ambiance. The dining room is small and rustic, creating a cozy atmosphere that felt inviting. The service was exceptional, with a friendly young couple attending to us. The young man even took the time to sit with us, asking where we were from and sharing tips about nearby treasures. It's refreshing to experience such genuine, old-fashioned customer service these days. I can't recommend Charlie's enough! Their extensive menu is full of tempting options, and the mouthwatering aromas made it hard to resist trying more. We made a reservation on Open Table just in case because we were VERY hungry. It is a cute place, on the smaller side and has a more modern take on seating. Some tables had couches and others were the traditional chairs/booths. After looking over the menu, we decided to order the focaccia bread, bates burger, and the mac n cheese. The focaccia bread came out with this delicious mascarpone cheese topped with honey and pepper on top. At first, we were a little worried but the blend of flavors were IMMACULATE! We contemplated ordering another one. Next the burger and mac n cheese came out. The burger was a bit dry, and it came out well done when we asked for medium (they ask how you would like it cooked when ordering). The potato wedges that come with it were very good, hot and fluffy. The Mac n cheese was the star of the show. We got the mushrooms on the side since we never had BBQed mushrooms before but they added such a complex flavor with the truffle cheese in the macaroni. We ended the night with their cookie skillet and it came with salted Carmel gelato (the menu says vanilla). She confirmed that the flavor was okay before putting the order in. Overall, we had a good night here and the view was beautiful. Side note: they have you park in the bottom lot if you are only coming for the restaurant and there is a number you call. They pick you up in the golf cart and drive you up! And they offer the same service to come back down! Thank you Alex (unless it was Ally we are arguing over your name) for such a positive energy and personality.

Juicy, thick patty, the brisket was tender and the BBQ sauce was just the enough amount and not overpowering the entire burger. You get a choice of a side salad or fries to go along with your burger and I went for the side salad since as a group we did order the garlic wedge fries (which was not served with wedge cut potatoes but regular fries cut potatoes lol). Not sure if they ran out of those cuts or that's how it is really presented but either way the fries were also delicious and perfectly garlicky. The other orders from our group was the Bates burger which again was delicious. The steak frites were yummy and perfectly cooked. The steak was easily cut and seasoned well. We also ordered the focaccia and that mascarpone with black pepper honey was addicting! I wish we could have had more bread lol. So good! We also ordered the Texas style chili, that too, was wonderful. It was packed with meat and the right amount of beans. Deliciously seasoned and came with a jalapeño corn muffin. We didn't really taste the jalapeño but still a good pairing. I just wish there was more of it. It was served in a big bowl but the serving was very shallow so the look of it can be deceiving as to you're getting a lot but not really. It was shared by 4 people but just not quite enough for hungry people lol. Our other friend got the pan-roasted chicken that did not meet up to his expectations. It was small in portion compared to the burger and did not look very filling. We also got to try the cast iron cookie (made to order so it does take a while to come out) but given it is freshly baked please be careful taking the first bite. It is very hot lol. Again, amazingly chocolatey, gooey and decadent paired with a vanilla gelato on top. 6/7 of the orders were top notch so I'd say it's a win! SERVICE: There was only one server for the entire restaurant. One bartender at the bar. No host/hostess so it took awhile to be seated even with a reservation but not too long of a wait. Our waiter did his best to accommodate everyone and each table given he's the only one serving. He was patient and still very helpful with helping us pick our meals, providing recommendations and answering our questions. He still served everyone with a smile despite how overwhelming it could have been for him. Also, the service of the receptionist of the hotel who can pick you up with a Moke mobile down the hill and up to the restaurant was quick and friendly. She was very welcoming and nice. I loved the service. The food came out in a timely manner except for our cookies BUT again it is made to order and I'm sure takes longer to bake than to make a burger lol so be patient. Lovely service and staff. AMBIENCE: Good amount of seatings inside and outdoors during warmer weather. The outdoors does come equipped with heaters but it was just too cold so most people choose indoors anyway. Super cute, intimate setting with booths, tables and high chairs at the bar. Dimmed lighting throughout the restaurant but they do bring little candles or lamps to light up the table if needed. Super cute and romantic vibe. We visited during holiday season so there was a nicely lit Christmas tree by our table and it made the visit nice and cozy. I've lived in the area for a while now and have always wanted to visit and check out the place. Met all my expectations and more. I judged it by its ambiance and pricing from the menu at first, thinking the food was not gonna reflect the prices and although some are overpriced some are justifiable given the quality of the food. Again, it's a unique experience being picked up by a Moke mobile from the parking lot to the top of the hill where the restaurant is located. There is a shed where the phone number is located to call the hotel for a lift. The food, service and ambience were great. Highly recommend to locals and anyone driving by for a visit! Very instagrammable restaurant AND motel!

It's an interesting setup, as there's a separate space for Pico and a space for Lumen Wines, however we were told that the wine tastings are done in the restaurant. The ambiance is upscale-casual, the service is excellent (thanks Kali for getting my joke and making me laugh on our last visit), and the food is wonderfully delicious. They have main floor seating, a balcony, and a back patio, so request your spot when making a reservation. DRINKS: They have a full bar and the cocktails we've tried were very well made. The wine list is primarily Lumen wines, but there are some other local and old-world wines available, and some alcohol-free cocktails and beer too. On our first visit, we tried a Lumen wine tasting flight consisting of a '21 Chardonnay, a '21 Pinot Noir, and a '21 Grenache, and a couple extra pours, like the Escence orange wine and the "Hey Ginger" Pet Nat (check out my separate review for Lumen Wines). FOOD: We've eaten something on all three visits and everything we've tried has been very good. The menu is seasonal, so it's ever changing. The appetizers/entrées we've tried are the Wedge Salad, Kabocha Salad, Grilled Carrots, Avocado Crudo, Channel Island Squid, Steak Tartare, Pico Burger, and Rabbit Carnitas Tostadas. The food is well-seasoned and prepared as ordered. The kitchen seems to work well with the wait staff to coordinate when courses are delivered, so you're not getting everything at once. Pico is one of our favorite spots in the Los Alamos/Los Olivos/Buellton area and well worth the drive if you're not staying right nearby. I highly recommend you check them out.

Service: 5/5 Our server was very attentive and charismatic, joining in on our jokes, checking on us promptly, giving us recommendations, and ultimately adding onto our experience. The busser was quick and timely, he always made sure our table was clean and our water was full. Food took a little while to come out, which was expected, but after everything we ate, it was completely worth the wait. Food: 5/5 I could probably eat ten of the avocado crudo and the mushroom and madeira. The crudo completely melts in your mouth with the most addicting sauce, and the puff pastries lingered in my mind the entire meal. We had the burrata which was fresh and tasty, the warm french loaf which shocked me how compelling a loaf of bread can be, and finally were graced by the agnolotti which had the perfect amount of lemon that paired so perfectly with the mushroom sauce. Keep in mind, every plate was wiped clean of its sauce with the bread because they were all too good and we couldn't get enough. Also could have had endless "For he's a jolly good fennel" (love the name) mocktale. Highly recommend!

The girls working there were attentive, friendly, and kept everything moving despite how busy the place was. Before coming in, we read all the reviews about the chilaquiles, and since that's one of my all-time favorite breakfast dishes, I came in with high expectations. I ordered the chilaquiles half-and-half style with both red and green sauce plus chorizo... and they delivered! Both sauces were seriously good. By the end of the meal, I think the green sauce barely won me over, but honestly it was a tough decision because both were delicious. And don't sleep on the waffles either those were amazing too!

You order at the counter and then they have you sit at a table - they do not allow you to sit before ordering which I liked. It allows for the kitchen and staff to stay on top of orders and to help everything run smoothly - plus it cuts down on allowing people to save tables. We ordered the Belgian Waffle, Corned Beef Hash, Biscuits and Gravy and Danish Pancake. Everything was fresh and delicious, including the coffee and fresh squeezed OJ! The inside has a decent amount of seating, I believe there might have been an additional room as well, plus outdoor seating. Staff were very friendly and personable! They came around and checked on us, refilled water/coffee and cleaned plates. Overall, we absolutely loved this place - we almost came back again on Sunday, but the line was really long and we needed to get on the road to head home! Fun fact: Brekkies is British slang for...breakfast! Also, the owner of Brekkies also owns 2 or 3 other businesses in town included Chomp Burgers which was also very good! If you're ever in Solvang and looking for a breakfast/brunch spot, I highly suggest checking out Brekkies!

There's a cute sticker machine at the wait area, for a dollar you can get a random sticker in either the peasants farm/feast brand, or what I think are local brands and artists? We chose the local brands and the slight disappointment when a sole Enegren sticker was revealed, washed over us (none of us drink). But I enjoy it being there. Despite the chill there's plenty of heaters around that make the meal plenty enjoyable. The food is around $20-30 per person if you're being stingy like us and not ordering extras like drinks or starters. And the menu rotates daily I think, everything that was recommended to me by friends wasn't on the menu. But I felt pretty full with just half the fig grilled cheese for a meal and snaking on the rest later in the day. It was the perfect blend of savory sweet, like a cheesy geode with a rock exterior of Parmesan crispy bits flaking off and rich bread but inside was gooey soft cheese that was elevated with a satisfyingly sweet fig jam. The dipping sauce the potatoes were given is kind of boring, it looked colorful but felt like just a spicy mayo. The soup was a zappy blend of carrot, ginger, and turmeric? It felt like one of those health shots subdued down smooth with cream. Our server offered bread with it and we did assume it would be $5+ but it isn't listed in the menu to my knowledge. The hot chicken was really good though, there's a multifaceted layer where you can taste the sweetness of the bread, the kick of the pickles, the crunch of the breading, and finally the succulent chicken. It's quite good! Patio is dog friendly, we were seated next to a very polite, and very excited dog. So far my favorite place to eat in Solvang!

I kept coming across peasants FEAST and knew my family and I had to add it to our list. They were Michelin recognized in 2024! We decided to check them out for lunch on a Saturday, we showed up right when they opened and got a nice seat outside on their patio. The restaurant slowly started filling up more and more after we got there so glad we arrived when we did! They do not take reservations so it is first come, first served. We ordered the Kids Orecchiette with Butter, Lil McFeast Burger and the Solvang Hot Chicken. We got some drinks on the side as well including the Fresh Squeezed Lemonade which my daughter was obsessed with. I really enjoyed the food - it was fresh and well seasoned throughout. I asked for less spice on my Hot Chicken, but it was still spicy and tasty! Overall, it was a good meal, not my favorite of the trip, but still worth checking out for sure! Service was also spot on and she gave great recommendations! We would definitely give them another shot next time we're in Solvang! I really want to check out the Pastrami Smoked Salmon Sandwich and the Nannie's Frozen Lime Pie next time! Check them out!

We started with Bloody Marys, which were insanely good. They were out of the Verde, but the bartender improvised and made us something even better. It came with what might be the best bacon I've ever had, which is a bold claim but I stand by it. He even came out to check on us and talk through what he was testing. We loved them. We ordered the deviled eggs with trout roe, which were to die for. Highly recommend. Then we split the breakfast sandwich. They divided it in the kitchen and brought it out with two side salads, which is always such a nice touch. Service was incredible, the atmosphere was lovely, and the whole thing felt a little indulgent in the best way. Exactly what you want on a beautiful spring day in Santa Ynez. My barista informed that all drinks are two shots so I would recommend the 12oz instead of the 16oz or ask for an extra shot if you're a caffeine lover. Restroom is clean but there is only one as far as I saw which thankfully was not busy. Parking is all residential but it seems like there is plenty and for those looking to do work on their laptops there are definitely plenty of outlets so enjoy.
