Ok This place is so unique and I highly recommend it. It's hard to describe but there's basically an excellent low key barbecue place that I believe does bbq tacos / burgers some of the time and full BBQ other times... I had the beef tallow tortillas with the brisket and pork and it was fantastic. I also had the buttermilk peach pudding which was excellent as well. I would gladly return to try everything else but let me tell you they do not skimp on portion sizes ! It's really neat that in the same area there's a full wine bar with very friendly, knowledgeable staff to help you make the hard decision of choosing your wine, I believe there's also beer and there's even different areas to sit Depending on the ambience you're looking for. My friend and I sat at a cute little table in the garden next to a greenhouse and it was just so magical. We had local rosé and barbecue tacos- I mean I've never had such a combo it was really neat. I also highly recommend you check out the bodega shop on your way out. There's great local wines as well as extremely beautiful ceramics and other handmade goods. Blown away! The perfect hidden gem to stop at on your road trip, different days have different menus so if you are looking at their bbq menu just take note that it's only on Saturdays. The property is picture perfect and there is a little wine bar when you walk in that is separate from the food. Don't skip on the burger is my advice, we were so impressed with it and it earned a spot on our list of tastiest burgers ever! read more

I try to go here most Saturdays! The bbq tacos are easily my death row meal. There's a long line pretty much all the way until about 2pm, which is when you can sneak in and get your food pretty quick. The experience of their food is unlike anything around here. I specifically came to Priedite Barbecue to try their Sunday Bandito burger and honestly, the whole dining experience is such a vibe. Priedite's new home is so dreamy. It's a giant backyard lined with trees and picnic tables. The whole space is captivatingly beautiful - the people, the energy, the vibe. The Bandito burger is as good as promised. The grass fed beef is topped with grilled onions, picante pickles, American cheese, and burger sauce sandwiched between a brioche bun. The burger patties are meaty and un-smashed which I'm absolutely on board with. I love the melty, salty American cheese that's offset by the grilled onions and tangy pickles. It's a damn good burger and worth every penny (only $14 for a double!). Come for the burger of course, but don't sleep on the tacos. First of all, can we talk about the tallow tortillas? The tallow adds a savory richness to the tortilla. In fact, it makes the tortilla taste unexpectedly decadent. Even though the tortilla can stand alone, every taco variation at Priedite is worth ordering: brisket ($8), pork shoulder ($6), and bean & cheese ($3). The meat, the condiments, the tortilla together make for the tastiest bite. Be prepared to wait, but grab a drink on your way in. Personally thought it was overpriced and overrated for what it was. $35 and a 45 minute wait for a brisket plate and a pork shoulder taco. The potato salad was the best, the beans and taco were a bit on the saltier side, and the brisket was good but we got a piece that was a 1/3 fat which we couldn't eat. Felt a little scammed for $35. I don't think we'll come back, especially with other options in the area that are more worth it for the price and a shorter wait. read more

On my first outing to Bodega, my mom, brother, and I decided to try out Priedite Barbecue. We had wanted to arrive at 11am but ended up arriving at noon. There was already a bit of line so we hopped right in. I'd say we waited about half an hour before being able to order. My mom and brother got brisket with some sides while I opted for bean and cheese tacos (vegetarian here heh). As soon as everything was ready, we dug in. My tacos really hit the spot. I can be slightly picky about beans but really enjoyed the ones from Priedite. Although I didn't try the brisket, I tried some of the sides including potato salad. It was all very delicious! Overall, my family and I had a very nice experience with Priedite. Definitely try to get there early if you can! As long as you like some good bbq, you're bound to have a good time. read more

I am not a big BBQ person but this is truly special and won me over. Priedite BBQ operates a food truck at Bodega Los Alamos on Thursdays through Sundays, 11am - 4pm or when they sell out. Saturday is the big day for the special BBQ and the other days have tacos and smash burgers. We loved the brisket tacos and the bean-cheese tacos! Great outdoor patio with picnic tables. When my wife and I lived in Texas, this is the kind of BBQ that came from the great places that you had to line up hours before opening to get. Saturdays are the big BBQ day, while they offer smaller menus (tacos, burgers) on Thursday/Friday/Sunday. It's a good idea to follow them on Instagram for announcements of specials or days where they won't be in operation. It's the kind of meal you plan for, and it's not cheap, but it's worth every penny. This barbecue is phenomenal! Everything is high-quality and top-notch. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The meats are usually sold by the pound but often times when you go and wait in line you'll notice a sign where you order where they sometimes offer one meet and two plates for 18 and $21. so definitely keep that in mind if you don't want to buy per pound. The gentleman who run this barbecue spot are so friendly and welcoming. They know what they are talking about and can answer any questions that you have. The line often gets long , so I suggest getting there closer to opening. Be prepared to wait. If you are not a fan of waiting for a while and being patient then this is not a place for you. They have plenty of large picnic tables that you can share with other guests. You can also go upfront to the winery area and sit at those tables as well. Top-notch outdoor barbecue place. serving full barbecue only on Saturdays, Priedite Barbecue is definitely spot worth going to. Diving through the rolling hills along the coast to get here is beautiful. As I got my food, the sun came out from behind the clouds and making the meat glisten. Folding the brisket between the beef tallow tortilla (that I forgot to snap a picture of) was the perfect bite basically making my own brisket taco. Which they do serve and I was tempted to get after (but I have wedding I have to head to after this). The ribs was subtlety sweet just the way I like it. The pulled pork shoulder has a pretty nice smokey taste and was nice and moist without having any added sauces. Between each meat, taking a bite of the charred peppers was addicting, adding the right about of heat to transition to the next bite. I want to say they had one of my favorite slaws. Pretty heavy in the cilantro, fennel and having pieces of jalapeño gave it this refreshing, herby, but spicy bite. Instead of a creamy slaw, this used a lemon vinaigrette. As for the desert, you have to get that buttermilk pudding. Based on the menu, they place a seasonal preservative on top and today was strawberry. (this is my strawberry week it seems) The pudding was not too sweet. Almost as if the natural sugars in the buttermilk was the main source of sugar. With the strawberry preservative on top adding pockets of sugar between the custardy bites. As a coffee addict as well, the cold brew here was better than a lot of cold brew I've gotten at fancy cafes. A great bitter and chocolate aftertaste that was a nice way to finish my meal. read more

There's a well known joint in Austin where folks wait hours for the bbq. Sorry sir, but Priedite has you beat by leaps and bounds. A Thursday-Sunday Pop-Up in the back of Bodega Los Alamos, this place offer some serious "Q" that is not to be missed. We came on Sunday which is their Smash Burger day (but they also have Brisket, Pulled Pork, and Bean/Cheese tacos). Line wasn't too bad around lunch time -- only a 5-10min wait. (I'm told Saturday is their busiest day as they offer ribs and full plates of brisket, etc.) Really nice patio area with shared picnic tables. We loved the brisket tacos with plenty of meat that melts in your mouth. Bean/Cheese ones were also great -- not like any others we've ever tried. They even offer free coffee while you wait in line. There aren't many "real" bbq places nearby so we were excited to finally get some after so long. The place itself is a nice little patio with complimentary coffee and beer! You read that right, they have free beer while you wait. Service will take a little while as each person or group goes one at a time and they only have one person taking the order while the second handles payment and sides. Overall service was good and the place is welcoming. Brisket- really good. Almost perfect but a little over for me. Still this is a must if you're visiting. Cut as you order and weighed on the spot. Pork- freaking spot on. They make chicharron out of the skin and chop it back into the rest of the pork. Really delicious and the best protein we tried. Ribs- I've come to learn that I'm just not a rib guy. Delicious, nice and tender and well seasoned, nothing bad to say but also wasn't amazed. Ranchero Sausage- this might have been the most disappointing. Cooked well but didn't really taste any depth of flavor. Not sure what I was expecting but it was underwhelming. Scallion potato salad- easily the best side! We've tried the pickles and slaw, see previous review, but this salad is amazing! Absolutely a must! Portion is a tad small but it is worth it Beans- they're beans, not a whole lot to say, they were fine but nothing special. Tortillas- handmade, soft and delicious, get some! Side note, the bbq sauce has a kick to it and it's just yummy. Overall I was very happy with most the menu items.
