I specifically came to Priedite Barbecue to try their Sunday Bandito burger and honestly, the whole dining experience is such a vibe. Priedite's new home is so dreamy. It's a giant backyard lined with trees and picnic tables. The whole space is captivatingly beautiful - the people, the energy, the vibe. The Bandito burger is as good as promised. The grass fed beef is topped with grilled onions, picante pickles, American cheese, and burger sauce sandwiched between a brioche bun. The burger patties are meaty and un-smashed which I'm absolutely on board with. I love the melty, salty American cheese that's offset by the grilled onions and tangy pickles. It's a damn good burger and worth every penny (only $14 for a double!). Come for the burger of course, but don't sleep on the tacos. First of all, can we talk about the tallow tortillas? The tallow adds a savory richness to the tortilla. In fact, it makes the tortilla taste unexpectedly decadent. Even though the tortilla can stand alone, every taco variation at Priedite is worth ordering: brisket ($8), pork shoulder ($6), and bean & cheese ($3). The meat, the condiments, the tortilla together make for the tastiest bite. Be prepared to wait, but grab a drink on your way in. There's a separate area where you can order drinks while you wait for your food. And do yourself a favor and order a pack of tallow tortillas ($10 for 6).

I am not a big BBQ person but this is truly special and won me over. Priedite BBQ operates a food truck at Bodega Los Alamos on Thursdays through Sundays, 11am - 4pm or when they sell out. Saturday is the big day for the special BBQ and the other days have tacos and smash burgers. We loved the brisket tacos and the bean-cheese tacos! Great outdoor patio with picnic tables. Excellent service. Dog friendly.

For a girl who has grown up eating west coast style bbq all my life Priedite Barbecue has some quality made bbq! The meats are cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. The chips and salsa were delicious and the beans, potato salad and handmade tortillas were oh so yummy! We love the beautiful laid back ambiance and the service was friendly and knowledgeable!

Omg this place is incredible. I am not by any means a bbq person but priedite made me a believer. I was headed up to San Luis Obispo and found them on Tik tok. The food looked incredible and I knew we had to stop. We ordered two meat plates so we could try off of the sides. Everything was 12/10 I was shook. I love how nothing was sweet, only savory. The beans tasted like chili, the slaw was super refreshing, potato salad diving and pickles addicting. The pork shoulder and brisket were out of this world!!! I would definitely make the drive back to experience this again.

I live in Santa Maria and a lot of people rave about this burger because they use good quality leftover meat for their patties. Personally I still was not a fan and believe the best smash burger is in Santa Barbara. Ambiance is great because you can grab a drink and enjoy the outdoors. Service is slow but because they have a long line wrapping around into the beer/wine garden. I prefer their tacos more so and would come back for those.

Tried this place for the first time with friends, and let me tell you--I was scheduling my next visit mid-bite! The food was absolutely that good. I had the best time and can't wait to bring my family along next time.

5 Stars - Delicious Food in a Charming, Dog-Friendly Spot We stopped in Los Alamos for lunch and are so glad we did. Priedite BBQ & Bandito Burgers is tucked behind Bodega on Bell Street, with a relaxed outdoor setting, plenty of picnic tables with umbrellas, and a welcoming, dog-friendly vibe. You can even grab a glass of wine or a beer next door at Bodega to enjoy with your meal. We visited on a weekday when they were serving burgers and tacos (BBQ might be weekends only). The double cheeseburger was perfect--juicy, cheesy, and served on a soft brioche bun. We also loved the brisket and pork shoulder tacos. The hot sauce was excellent--definitely get it if you're trying the tacos! The potato salad was also fantastic--balanced and not too sweet. This place is a wonderful addition to the already charming town of Los Alamos. We'll absolutely be back anytime we're passing through. Highly recommend!

I'll start with saying my husband is an excellent bbq-er. So, my taste is a little bias. We arrived at 11:15 and were to the front of the line at 1pm. There was complimentary coffee, cold brew, and water while we waited midway through the line. The brisket was a little dry and the pork shoulder was nothing too special. The ribs were fantastic. I loved the tortilla and beans! Bring your patience and prepare to kick back while you wait. It made for an adventure and once a year experience!

    Long line but worth it!

This barbecue is phenomenal! Everything is high-quality and top-notch. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The meats are usually sold by the pound but often times when you go and wait in line you'll notice a sign where you order where they sometimes offer one meet and two plates for 18 and $21. so definitely keep that in mind if you don't want to buy per pound. The gentleman who run this barbecue spot are so friendly and welcoming. They know what they are talking about and can answer any questions that you have. The line often gets long , so I suggest getting there closer to opening. Be prepared to wait. If you are not a fan of waiting for a while and being patient then this is not a place for you. They have plenty of large picnic tables that you can share with other guests. You can also go upfront to the winery area and sit at those tables as well. Top-notch outdoor barbecue place. Just for your information, they are open on Saturdays for barbecue and Sundays for burgers.

serving full barbecue only on Saturdays, Priedite Barbecue is definitely spot worth going to. Diving through the rolling hills along the coast to get here is beautiful. As I got my food, the sun came out from behind the clouds and making the meat glisten. Folding the brisket between the beef tallow tortilla (that I forgot to snap a picture of) was the perfect bite basically making my own brisket taco. Which they do serve and I was tempted to get after (but I have wedding I have to head to after this). The ribs was subtlety sweet just the way I like it. The pulled pork shoulder has a pretty nice smokey taste and was nice and moist without having any added sauces. Between each meat, taking a bite of the charred peppers was addicting, adding the right about of heat to transition to the next bite. I want to say they had one of my favorite slaws. Pretty heavy in the cilantro, fennel and having pieces of jalapeño gave it this refreshing, herby, but spicy bite. Instead of a creamy slaw, this used a lemon vinaigrette. As for the desert, you have to get that buttermilk pudding. Based on the menu, they place a seasonal preservative on top and today was strawberry. (this is my strawberry week it seems) The pudding was not too sweet. Almost as if the natural sugars in the buttermilk was the main source of sugar. With the strawberry preservative on top adding pockets of sugar between the custardy bites. As a coffee addict as well, the cold brew here was better than a lot of cold brew I've gotten at fancy cafes. A great bitter and chocolate aftertaste that was a nice way to finish my meal.

With not much open around us, we turned to Google for help and stumbled upon Charlie's Restaurant. What a fantastic surprise! My friend ordered a chocolate pineapple milkshake--a creative blend not listed on the menu. She thought it would be a delightful combination, and she was absolutely right. Meanwhile, I went for the Nachos Supreme, and let me tell you, they are hands down the best nachos I've ever had at 70 years old! The chips were perfectly crisp, topped with homemade refried beans, creamy sour cream, cheese, fresh guacamole, and chopped tomatoes. Each bite was a flavor explosion! The restaurant itself isn't flashy; in fact, it took us a moment to spot the sign, which was partly hidden by a hedge. But stepping inside was a treat! We chose to sit in the charming garden, where a lovely mural added to the ambiance. The dining room is small and rustic, creating a cozy atmosphere that felt inviting. The service was exceptional, with a friendly young couple attending to us. The young man even took the time to sit with us, asking where we were from and sharing tips about nearby treasures. It's refreshing to experience such genuine, old-fashioned customer service these days. I can't recommend Charlie's enough! Their extensive menu is full of tempting options, and the mouthwatering aromas made it hard to resist trying more. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area--perhaps for those onion rings next time! The bathroom had a sign on the wall with a picture of a toilet saying please seat yourself If you're in Los Alamos, don't miss out on this hidden gem!

We made a reservation on Open Table just in case because we were VERY hungry. It is a cute place, on the smaller side and has a more modern take on seating. Some tables had couches and others were the traditional chairs/booths. After looking over the menu, we decided to order the focaccia bread, bates burger, and the mac n cheese. The focaccia bread came out with this delicious mascarpone cheese topped with honey and pepper on top. At first, we were a little worried but the blend of flavors were IMMACULATE! We contemplated ordering another one. Next the burger and mac n cheese came out. The burger was a bit dry, and it came out well done when we asked for medium (they ask how you would like it cooked when ordering). The potato wedges that come with it were very good, hot and fluffy. The Mac n cheese was the star of the show. We got the mushrooms on the side since we never had BBQed mushrooms before but they added such a complex flavor with the truffle cheese in the macaroni. We ended the night with their cookie skillet and it came with salted Carmel gelato (the menu says vanilla). She confirmed that the flavor was okay before putting the order in. Overall, we had a good night here and the view was beautiful. Side note: they have you park in the bottom lot if you are only coming for the restaurant and there is a number you call. They pick you up in the golf cart and drive you up! And they offer the same service to come back down! Thank you Alex (unless it was Ally we are arguing over your name) for such a positive energy and personality.

FOOD: I ordered the BBQ Brisket burger and it was…read moremagnificent. Juicy, thick patty, the brisket was tender and the BBQ sauce was just the enough amount and not overpowering the entire burger. You get a choice of a side salad or fries to go along with your burger and I went for the side salad since as a group we did order the garlic wedge fries (which was not served with wedge cut potatoes but regular fries cut potatoes lol). Not sure if they ran out of those cuts or that's how it is really presented but either way the fries were also delicious and perfectly garlicky. The other orders from our group was the Bates burger which again was delicious. The steak frites were yummy and perfectly cooked. The steak was easily cut and seasoned well. We also ordered the focaccia and that mascarpone with black pepper honey was addicting! I wish we could have had more bread lol. So good! We also ordered the Texas style chili, that too, was wonderful. It was packed with meat and the right amount of beans. Deliciously seasoned and came with a jalapeño corn muffin. We didn't really taste the jalapeño but still a good pairing. I just wish there was more of it. It was served in a big bowl but the serving was very shallow so the look of it can be deceiving as to you're getting a lot but not really. It was shared by 4 people but just not quite enough for hungry people lol. Our other friend got the pan-roasted chicken that did not meet up to his expectations. It was small in portion compared to the burger and did not look very filling. We also got to try the cast iron cookie (made to order so it does take a while to come out) but given it is freshly baked please be careful taking the first bite. It is very hot lol. Again, amazingly chocolatey, gooey and decadent paired with a vanilla gelato on top. 6/7 of the orders were top notch so I'd say it's a win! SERVICE: There was only one server for the entire restaurant. One bartender at the bar. No host/hostess so it took awhile to be seated even with a reservation but not too long of a wait. Our waiter did his best to accommodate everyone and each table given he's the only one serving. He was patient and still very helpful with helping us pick our meals, providing recommendations and answering our questions. He still served everyone with a smile despite how overwhelming it could have been for him. Also, the service of the receptionist of the hotel who can pick you up with a Moke mobile down the hill and up to the restaurant was quick and friendly. She was very welcoming and nice. I loved the service. The food came out in a timely manner except for our cookies BUT again it is made to order and I'm sure takes longer to bake than to make a burger lol so be patient. Lovely service and staff. AMBIENCE: Good amount of seatings inside and outdoors during warmer weather. The outdoors does come equipped with heaters but it was just too cold so most people choose indoors anyway. Super cute, intimate setting with booths, tables and high chairs at the bar. Dimmed lighting throughout the restaurant but they do bring little candles or lamps to light up the table if needed. Super cute and romantic vibe. We visited during holiday season so there was a nicely lit Christmas tree by our table and it made the visit nice and cozy. I've lived in the area for a while now and have always wanted to visit and check out the place. Met all my expectations and more. I judged it by its ambiance and pricing from the menu at first, thinking the food was not gonna reflect the prices and although some are overpriced some are justifiable given the quality of the food. Again, it's a unique experience being picked up by a Moke mobile from the parking lot to the top of the hill where the restaurant is located. There is a shed where the phone number is located to call the hotel for a lift. The food, service and ambience were great. Highly recommend to locals and anyone driving by for a visit! Very instagrammable restaurant AND motel!

It's an interesting setup, as there's a separate space for Pico and a space for Lumen Wines, however we were told that the wine tastings are done in the restaurant. They have main floor seating, a balcony, and a back patio, so request your spot when making a reservation. DRINKS: They have a full bar and the cocktails we've tried were very well made. The wine list is primarily Lumen wines, but there are some other local and old-world wines available, and some alcohol-free cocktails and beer too. On our first visit, we tried a Lumen wine tasting flight consisting of a '21 Chardonnay, a '21 Pinot Noir, and a '21 Grenache, and a couple extra pours, like the Escence orange wine and the "Hey Ginger" Pet Nat (check out my separate review for Lumen Wines). FOOD: We've eaten something on all three visits and everything we've tried has been very good. The menu is seasonal, so it's ever changing. The appetizers/entrées we've tried are the Wedge Salad, Kabocha Salad, Grilled Carrots, Avocado Crudo, Channel Island Squid, Steak Tartare, Pico Burger, and Rabbit Carnitas Tostadas. The food is well-seasoned and prepared as ordered. The kitchen seems to work well with the wait staff to coordinate when courses are delivered, so you're not getting everything at once. Pico is one of our favorite spots in the Los Alamos/Los Olivos/Buellton area and well worth the drive if you're not staying right nearby. I highly recommend you check them out.

We loved the decor and the layout of the restaurant, especially the upstairs seating area (where we sat) overlooking the dining room. The crudo completely melts in your mouth with the most addicting sauce, and the puff pastries lingered in my mind the entire meal. We had the burrata which was fresh and tasty, the warm french loaf which shocked me how compelling a loaf of bread can be, and finally were graced by the agnolotti which had the perfect amount of lemon that paired so perfectly with the mushroom sauce. Keep in mind, every plate was wiped clean of its sauce with the bread because they were all too good and we couldn't get enough. Also could have had endless "For he's a jolly good fennel" (love the name) mocktale. Highly recommend!

Served with their La Tequila salad - which was amazing! Crisp, fresh greens, avocado, dried cherries, mango, fresh mandarin (tangerine?), and their housemade tequila dressing. I would go back for this salad alone. Housemade salsas at the salsa bar are great; chips were just okay but they're merely a delivery vehicle for these gorgeous salsas. We didn't partake of the adult beverages here but they had a list of wines, bottled beer, and some cocktails made with agave wine. They also have a kids menu. You take your check to the counter to pay, and if you're lucky you may see the chef in the open kitchen making a batch of her chile rellenos: big, beautiful clouds of light batter embracing the fresh peppers. I want to try those next time! A real gem. Do visit.
