clementine carter Mourvedre (after many sips! This was not the initial pour)

Excellent local wine bar in Los Alamos, Ca. Love that this place is run and owned by women, and love what they have created! Do yourself a favor and make sure to read the each of the wine descriptions... so fun and whimsical, just like this place. Great spot to kick up your feet and relax with a book on a sunny afternoon.

We stopped here for some wine tasting while waiting for our table at Full of Life. How cute is the tasting flight? The wines were quite good, my favorite being the Mourvedre which I left with a bottle of. Really friendly service and a cute outdoor patio to boot.

Never have I went to a wine tasting that serves dim sum instead of the usuals; strawberries, bruschetta, cheese and crackers, etc. Maybe they making it Asian friendly ‍ ‍ coming from an Asian person myself, this is a weird combination. A friend of ours does not like dry wines, prefers sweet (dessert) wines. The restaurant does not have any sweet wines for my friend so they given her apple cider. She took one sip and passed on all the wine tasting, but still stays and keep us company. When we receive the bill I see they charged my friend for her wine tasting. I let the waitress know my friend just took a sip of the apple cider and passed on it and the wine tasting. The waitress informs us my friend will still be charge, even if she took one sip... one sip of apple cider! Really, apple cider?! How unbelievable! This is ridiculous!

Must go. This hidden gem is absolutely delicious. The casual outdoor dining during COVID is a great break. The wine flight is so unique. The food is amazing. We wanted to order everything. Literally everything. The wine paired beautifully with the food too. The staff were friendly and attentive. Great pit stop on in between wine tastings. Must order: pickled wood eat mushroom salad. Smoked duck egg rolls (dip it in the shumai soy sauce) Pork and shrimp shumai Mushroom, tofu, chard steamed bun Shanghai pork steamed bun They also offer a beer flight tasting.

Loved this adorable spot. Two women were working the tasting room when we stopped in for a glass. They let us try at least 4 wines before deciding on an apple rose, a delicious glass and a beautiful space. Wish we'd had more time to spend there.

I have been here a few times , always amazing . The location , employees , wine & food always a great experience. Finally joined the wine club ; literally it's the best club on the central coast .Amazing variety of wines something for everyone's tastes. One of the best perks of the wine club has to be the vineyard tour w/ the owner Sonja . Scenic , educational & just a overall amazing experience. She is highly knowledgeable about every aspect of the business. The employees are top notch ; Stacey & Lupetia make every visit special . If you aren't local Stacey is a fantastic resource on all of the hot spots of the central coast . The food here is not your basic tasting room nibbles. If you have had enough of the adult lunchables most tasting rooms offer . Come here for lunch . Korean food ; the best you will find in the central coast ! The wings & mushrooms salad are a must . I highly recommend spending the day here .

We had Angela as our host today and she was awesome!!! The wine was great, but her kindness through our tasting made the experience even better!! We bought wine to go and will be back!

Just visited Casa Dumetz. Loved the food and wine but left with a bad taste in our mouths. We ordered 3 flights of wine ($30 a flight for less than 1 bottle worth of wine.)....the samples were way, way less than generous. Not enough to even get a decent taste of the wines. The food was great, We had the KFC (Koren fried cauliflower) So damn good! and the beef egg rolls. Here's the real downer. We were a party of 4 and were automatically charged for tip when the menu clearly states gratuity added for parties of 6 or more. We purchased 6 bottles of wine. The tip was calculated on not only the food and flights but the purchase of bottles not even opened. So wrong. Been visiting Los Alamos since 2005. It has turned into a cold and heartless town. You can't even find a place that serves charcuterie with wine.. Apparently every place there thinks they share Bell Farms Michelin star. There won't be a next time. Super disappointed. Off to Los Olivos from now on. The photos are a split bill. $50+ automatic tip that shouldn't have been more than $20. Ridiculous.

Obviously we got the 2017 Katherine's Chardonnay! Delicious!
Hallo M.

Took a weekday break from our daily routine and spent the night at SkyView Motel. Upon arrival, we decided to get a quick tasting so we walked in to Casa Dumetz. Kristen welcomed us with the most genuine smile and made the tasting so special (considering we were the only ones there on a dusty Tuesday high-noon while vendors were bringing in merchandise) She was very knowledgeable and took the time to share the history of the owner (: Great decor, awesome craft beer selection and the wine is to die for! Thank you for everything! We will be back for sure

I came today for the first time after receiving a tasting offer from Rideau Winery and it was a great discovery! We have been to Solvang for so many years and never went to Los Alamos, so I was thrilled to discover a new spot! The winery is downtown is a very bright & welcoming location, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The wine tasting was great and the hostess was very attentive, and trying to please us as much as she could with trying many wines. I also loved the adjacent tacos place, which were very tasty & delicious. A must try if you are in the area!!

Flight for 2

Was really hoping to love this women-owned tasting room with its feminist edge. Our experience was strange. When we walked in we asked to sit near the back of the patio where there were less people but as a party of two (women) we were told we couldn't only sit at a table for two. We were seated uncomfortably close to another table - much closer than I have sat to a stranger in over a year. The next two groups of two who walked in were seated at large tables with no request. After that we asked to move and were allowed to move to a larger table in the back. We asked for two tastings. Our waiter brought wines for us (2 whites and 4 reds) without asking anything about our preferences. We heard other groups being asked about their wine preferences so we were somewhat turned off by this. The wines were good but the pours were quite small and the tastings were $30 each. We had one of each of their bao buns which were very good, though the mushroom bao was too spicy for me. This place has a funky feel and a lot of potential, but based on our experience I wouldn't be excited to go back.

I really wanted to enjoy this place more. The wine was okay, and I was confused by the system. They said you can pick your wines, then they kept pouring random things. Overall, so so experience. I mildly enjoyed one red, and that's all. The employees and owner are nice, but you don't get the attention you receive in some other rooms.

Thank you Casa Dumetz!!!!!!

Good pours and all the wines were low alcohol. They try and make them as natural as possible and are smaller batches than bigger wineries and labels. Friendly service as well. My only critique are the stools, they were really uncomfortable so sitting there for the whole tasting was not fun. We purchased one bottle and could have maybe purchased a couple others but we opted not to. I will also mention that there was a slight push to try and buy bottles at the end. Stopping short of saying "you should buy some bottles" but a lot of "nudges" and "hints" about buying bottles. We would definitely come back to try other pours.

I'm not one for white wines and I even loved their white varietals, so that should speak volumes! The staff member during our visit was very friendly and had excellent taste in music. The pours were generous as well, more so than a usual wine tasting! It was fun to sip wine and they even let us pick a vinyl to play while we visited. We were so impressed by the wine that we even joined their wine club. I can't wait to receive the first shipment! I'm also already planning our next visit to this tasting room, which is located in an awesome one road town. Located across the street from The Alamo Motel, where we stayed for the weekend, so we just walked across the street for our tasting. It really doesn't get much better than that! I definitely suggest making a trip to this charming wine tasting room and finding out for yourself what a treasure it is.

Standard Flight: $20/3 pours…read more This review covers two visits, one midweek in 2025 and one two weeks ago on a Friday. It's an interesting setup, as there is a separate room for Lumen Wines, however we were told that the tastings are done at the adjoining Pico restaurant. The nice thing is that because of the restaurant, you can do the tastings later in the day, after the other wineries in town have closed. I also noticed on their website that there's a garden patio as well. My one gripe is that on both visits, no one directly related to the wines was there to interact with us. The restaurant's staff provided all the tastings and wine info. WINES: Lumen's wines are hand-crafted with minimal intervention and made from grapes sourced from sustainable local vineyards, and their estate vineyards, which are farmed organically. Usually, this would make me skeptical, as wines like that do not typically match my wife and my palates. So, on our first visit, we tried a flight of their wines ('21 Chardonnay, '21 Pinot Noir, and a '21 Grenache), including a couple extra pours, like their Escence orange wine and the "Hey Ginger" Pet Nat. On this past visit, Pico was offering a 20th Anniversary special: a French Fries appetizer and a bottle of wine (your choice) for $30, so we opted to get a bottle of the '23 SBC Chardonnay which was excellent. All the wines were well-made, and I really enjoyed them, especially the Ginger Pet Nat, which was quite unique. Of course we took a couple bottles home with us. Overall, it's a nice winery to stop in and enjoy a tasting, glass, or bottle with lunch or dinner.

The owner, Sonja, is a very cool, kind, talented and warm person. Her staff is kind and friendly (some of them are the owner's family, which is way cool). I love knowing that I am supporting a female owned label, so I became a member (years ago). This last visit just last week was another great trip! This time, they sold a beautiful, tasty charcuterie board with corn nuts. There were so many delicious cheeses that I have never heard of. You can do a tasting inside our outside in a nice patio area. They also sell wine. My sister told me about them and I am so glad she did. I have told several wine loving friends about Sonja and Clementine Carter (formerly called Casa Dumetz). One trip there and you'll see what I mean.

We'd heard a lot about Clementine Carter (formerly Casa Dumetz Wines) and the owner/winemaker, Sonja Magdevski. Honestly, based on what we heard about her style of wines, we didn't think that they were going to be a match for our palates, but we're so glad we stopped in and did some tastings. We ended up taking six bottles with us on our first visit and stopped in again in late 2025 for a follow up. WINES: The wines are well-made, utilizing minimal intervention, paleo-friendly, organic, and prioritizing sustainability. They focus on Rhône varietals grown in the Santa Barbara County wine country. IMO, the whites are dry/crisp, and the reds are on the lighter bodied side, but we've found ways to pair these types of wines with our meals, while we typically drink heavier/bolder wines on their own. We have plenty of wine friends that will love everything about Sonja's wines. They also sell bottles from other wineries they "adore", so no need to travel all over the place. They're your one-stop shop. In addition to wine making, Sonja has an adjoining coffee shop and offers some of the most delicious charcuterie boards and munchies to pair with your wine tasting experience. There's also a good-sized patio, should you feel like taking in some fresh air. Add Clementine Carter Wines to your "must visit" list. You'll thank me for it.

NOTE: For groups of 6 or more, they offer tastings at the vineyard. First visit and had a very nice tasting experience. The winery is in the heart of downtown Los Alamos, directly across the street from the post office. It has a cozy vibe with a nice wine bar and lounge seating area. Ramon, the owner/winemaker, was friendly and provided an interesting history of his family's wine journey. My wife and I shared the two tastings: Estate wines (Grenache, Syrah Noir, and Cab. They have 17 acres planted at the estate vineyard and they use French oak barrels, with a blend of new and neutral for aging. They produce about 600-800 cases a year, so definitely a boutique winery. The wines are well-made, and quite tasty. We took several bottles home with us.
