Three years ago I stopped here on my way to Maine. I ordered a rib sandwich and I still think about it to this day! The nice lady gave me a "Free" slice of cake! They were so kind, the food was so delicious. Wish I lived in FL.. but I live in Las Vegas now. 10 out of 10 grab and go BBQ! 10 out of 10 customer service. Order process was good Denise made great recommendations and even gave us a rib tip sample. We ordered rib tip dinner, chicken dinner. They were out of a lot of sides but we had yams, Mac, potato salad and fries. Want to try the corn nuggets and the baked beans next time. The rib tips were very flavorful and meat was great. I preferred the more well done ones but all had great chew and flavor. The maul sauce was my fave not usually a mustard based sauce person but it was good the meat doesn't need sauce tho so it's just an add on. Got a piece of sweet potato pie for dessert very good ! We will def go back. Take a little bit to get your order so be prepared for that!! But a great place!!! read more

I was really disappointed with my visit to Bob's Famous BBQ. I ordered the rib tips, and the meat was dry, tough, and tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. The bread that came with it seemed stale and even had a strange smell. On top of that, the customer service was poor -- the staff had bad attitudes, and the wait time was ridiculously long, especially for food that didn't seem fresh. We were visiting Florida and went to this restaurant and ordered $126 worth of food for a get together for the fourth of July. When we returned to pick up oir food, it had been given away and they had run out of food. They said they would refund our money to our card. They never did and when we called them they asked for the receipt and then never called us back. We disputed the charge with our bank and then they lied to the bank. We love this place. Their food is ALWAYS fresh and made to order so if you are ever in a rush just order online ahead of time. But the service is TOP TIER! The ladies who take care of us - from the young to the seasoned - are always professional and smiling! Bad night at Bob's...the chicken was dry and either overcooked or just old. The ribs were undercooked and tough. The worst thing was there was a scant amount of sauce on the meat and no packets of sauce were given with the food. The bread on the meat was white on both sides. I consider myself to be very knowledgeable on BBQ as well as BBQ sauces. Bob's hands down the best BBQ place in town. The smoke feels unique and their sauces are diverse with great flavor. They are about to launch a food truck which will allow them to expand their market. This is a group of people very service oriented and committed to hard work. The side plates are also amazing. This spot is right off the highway, parking is good for the location and clean. It is a walk up and order not a sit down location. They make it easy for you to sit in your car and wait instead of in the heat by giving you a "buzzer" for when your food is ready. There are two benches to sit while you wait if you do prefer. The woman who took my order was so sweet and pleasant as well as the staff preparing and handing out orders. Prices are reasonable for the food amount and quality. I ordered ribs, chicken (dark meat), wings, mac n cheese, string beans (they were out of Collard greens), ox tail rice, yams, baked beans, potato salad, Strawberry cheesecake pound cake, butter pound cake, sweet tea, and blue lemonade. They have 4 different sauces Sweet and Tangy, Mild, spicy, and Maul (all mixed as one). All sauces are mustard based except the Spicy. My favorite was the sweet and tangy. The ribs and chicken were perfect I could have honestly eaten them without any sauce at all. The Mac n cheese was good but not my favorite side unfortunately. It's missing something. All other sides with grand praise to the oxtail rice were great. Yams were sweet but not overly sweet.; will always be a go to for me for this reason. Each dinner comes with 3 pieces of bread. The Arnold Palmer was amazing. The blue lemonade alone was good but if you don't like super sweet drinks add a little water. The pound cakes were very good and the serving size to everything is more than enough. Please don't expect to come and get your food instantly. You will wait a little, especially if you have a large order like I did. Best option is to order online (limited food options) or call in (for all food options). I will say the barbecue is delicious. Problem is they don't seem to have a very good system for running a restaurant. If you were coming off the interstate expecting to get a meal picked up in 30 or 40 minutes forget about it. It's going to take them probably an hour to make your food. And then the other problem is they seem to be out of everything constantly. Hoping they find a system that works for them and they can make it. I tried removing my bad review, but there is a continued error, so I need to at least update. These are the best ribs ever. The mac n cheese is delicious, and the ox tail rice is the best I've had, too! I knew it was good before, but I kept getting disappointed in the evening when I had my order canceled repeatedly, and this was extremely upsetting. However, I went during lunch time and did not have one issue, and really, the food is some of the best ever! I could eat it every day if my stomach could handle it. If it's before 2:30 I would 100% say pick this place for lunch! Or, call before and verify they have what you want before ordering or stopping in. read more
