We were at the Amelia Island Concours and a burger sounded good and we had to believe that Tasty Burgers would be a lot better than what we could get at the show. We were going to head to the one in Fernandina Beach but the one in Yulee was on the way to our hotel. For some reason, the downtown location had higher ratings but this location was good. While running errands up in the Yulee area, we spotted Tasty's and decided to stop for a quick lunch. I ordered a classic single cheeseburger. Hubby ordered a classic double cheeseburger. We also shared an order of sweet potato fries. The burger itself was a bit dry and not as good as I remembered when we ate at the Fernandina Beach location. 12/26/22 Let me say we were glad Tasty's was opened the day after Christmas! My husband got the shrimp rolls and he was very pleased-fresh buttered hot dog rolls with plenty of shrimp mixed in, not too much Mayo with seasoning...off the "lite fare" menu. I also ordered off that menu with a black bean burger on a WW roll. It was a big burger, the roll was toasted but it was not fresh; I took the top half off. The burger maybe was made in house because it kept falling apart so a fork was necessary. It did have a little heat but not too much flavor; not sure the calorie, fats etc count which I would have liked to know but I think I'll stick to the beef burgers here. read more

Let's talk about how my previous review was deleted. So, I'm assuming negative reviews are not working out for this business. Our visit although months ago, was memorable. Every time we pass by we revel in the absolute mess that was our visit. They were out of so many items, I ended up with only a drink. Burgers were bland, without seasoning. Fantastically fresh burgers and fries! I especially appreciate places where I can ask for no salt on my fries and they oblige. I had a basic cheeseburger with cilantro creme sauce in the side. Where has that condiment been all my life? I dipped my fries in it and put it on my burger and just wow! For the anti-cilantro contingency, they had various sauces to choose from, so no worries if you're not a fan of the herb. This was our first time at Tastys since they don't have any near us in Orlando. Such a shame because these burgers are excellent, fresh and inexpensive. My husband got the "Rise and Shine" breakfast-style burger with egg and bacon on top and tots with chili on the side and he loved everything to the last bite. read more

Really good fresh burgers, I am assuming this is a local chain of this area as it is the 3rd one I have seen. I love the vibe of it, looks like an old gas station sign. This is our second time st a Tasty's and first at the yulee location, first time we went to the fernandina beach location. This time we took our food to go, fries I assume are made in house and are delicious, their tater tots are very good and never enough for my toddler who normally does not eat tots! The burgers are thin (just the way I like them) and cooked to order so you have to wait just a little time to get them. They seem to always have patrons at their restaurants so they seem to be popular with the locals and I can see why. They do have beer, milkshakes and fountain drinks available and it's a family friendly environment. I would definitely recommend this restaurant over the better know burger chain restaurants around. This is probably closer to a 3 1/2. Stopped in For lunch in the middle of a court proceeding to grab takeout. After some navigation of the menu I was able to ascertain that it's possible to get a vegetarian beet burger without a bun. It took three employees to figure that out. It's OK the place is new. I also ordered truffle fries. I asked to have tartar sauce with the burger rather than the sauce that it comes with. The girl said OK. When she handed me my receipt I noticed she charged me $.46 plus tax for that tartar sauce that I had substituted for their chipotle sauce. When I looked in the bag with my takeout food which took about 15 minutes, it was missing sauce that comes with the french fries. When I asked the girl for the sauce she looked at me like she had no idea what I was talking about. She eventually asked in the window and the cook gave her some. I'm still annoyed with the quarter full container of tartar sauce that they charge me $.50 for. You can see it in my picture. It is completely rude to add charges without mentioning it to a customer and it's pretty rude to charge them to substitute one the sauce when it just comes in a little plastic container it is not like it used By the gallon. The beet burger was really quite tasty. My doctor says I need to cut out all those greasy cheeseburgers I love so much so this was my attempt and I would definitely have another one. I don't suppose the fries would have been approved by the doctor but they were pretty good. The container that they stuff them in is awkward to eat out of and it was approximately half full. For flavor this place gets a 4+ stars however for value barely a three. Inside was clean and nice and somewhat Spartan. The stuff on the menu was definitely more upscale than your average fast food joint. I saw a couple more things I would like to try the next time I'm in the area. So yes I'll probably return but I guess I'll pay attention to what they are charging you for. read more

I have not been to this Tasty's or any of them in over 3 years. I hate to say it but it has gone downhill. The chicken sandwich was horrible. A triangle piece of overcooked obviously prebattered processed chicken. The scrawny tomato about 2.5" in diameter just made it extra special. A smidge of lettuce. Thank you. Gross. You can do better. The fries did not look or taste like they used to. I tasted my husbands burger and it was ok. I'm done. In addition .... here we are in the south. The tea was horrible. It was very cloudy and tasted old. It should be made fresh everyday and never mix the old with the new. That was one thing I was looking forward to because I rarely get iced tea out. It's been a while since we visited and I'm sad to say it will be a while before we try again. We ordered our meals to go and before leaving, I asked about ketchup, and was assured it was in the bag. I got home and unloaded the bags and there was no ketchup. I proceeded to eat and got a few bites into my sandwich and the burger was very pink, so pink that I had to heat it before I could finish. The fries and shakes were great and the onion rings were hot, but the burgers just weren't the same. There are four locations now, perhaps it's harder to achieve the unique taste and quality as it was previously...very disappointing when spending $50 for two sandwiches, a large fry, onion rings and two shakes. read more

We had a Friday night where we had not too terribly much to do so we decided to.................. have a taste comparison between Whataburger and Tasty's. We ordered the exact same thing a double cheese burger with tomato, onions, and ketchup. We also ordered french fries to compare. First and foremost Tasty's got the order correct Whataburger.....whattheheck we got a double cheese burger with lettuce, onion, and mustard. So strike one there, the Tasty's burger resembled an actual homemade burger and Whataburger was a poor excuse for McDonalds. Tasty's was hot fresh and definitely a better burger. The food is great quality and flavor-wise. My complaints are the a la carte pricing gets really expensive per meal, and portions seemed to shrink over the last 2-3 years. We used to be able to each order a burger or sandwich and share an order of fries. Between the plentiful toppings and very generous portion of fries, we'd be full and usually have a few leftover. Those days are gone though! We also used to love taking our kids on the kids eat free nights, but between price increases and the shrinking portions, we found that kids eat free nights started costing us what we used to pay for our family to eat there on non-promo nights. read more

What started out tasting amazing! The French fries were great! The onion rings were amazing! The first 5 bites of my burger were incredible then the 6 th bite got mushy and weird tasting so did the next bite and I spit out the 3 rd bite. I looked at my husband and we both said the same exact thing it started off so good and then the patty morphed into a mushy weird tasting inedible flavor. I don't know if it was going bad? Or unevenly cooked we looked at it for a long time trying to see what ruined the favor. But they need to handle that because it's disgusting and if it it was mishandled or going bad someone can potentially get very sick. What's the chance of both us taking bites and loving it and the it turning into a mushy bad tasting nightmare? Please fix it. There is so much potential here. For a great business and a great name but the whole burger needs to be consistent in its flavor. Someone in management needs to walking around asking how is your food today. Since I was on my way to the beach, I opted for a salad - the 'Main Beach Wedge' - basically a bacon blue cheeseburger in salad form. I thought it was great! Had no issues with service or wait times, though my two dining partners didn't seem to enjoy their meals as much as I did. One had the Chili Chedda burger, which apparently had wayyy too much chili on it. We all split the Sonoran Dog - a hotdog wrapped in bacon and topped with pico. Maybe the only place that makes a burger better than me. Their burgers taste flame broiled but not sure they are but they are delicious!! Rarely do I like burgers from a take away place but Tasty Burger is the exception. The employees are friendly and helpful even though they are very young. I just assume teenagers are taking over the world so what the hell. The fries are put in to cook when you show up to take away you meal so they are still hot when you get them home! Who dies that?
