    Loaded fried with pork.

Get the loaded fries ! These guys are not stingy. Enough to share. We get these when we pass through Folkston, GA.

This place is a gem in Folkston. It's a small locally owned business with great food. I tried the loaded fries with chicken instead of pork. It was sooo good. The chicken was tender and chipped finely. It was mixed with a delicious bbq sauce over a bed of fries. The sauce has a slight heat which set the fries on fire. I selected the full size which was way too much food to eat. They're very generous with the portions and the prices are reasonable. I truly enjoyed this lunch. I feel like I'm in a good food coma.

Don't let the appearance fool you. Typical local place with good food and service. Small local bar / restaurant with a good football crowd.

Local barbecue that appears to be popular, but the bar we got was simply 'ok' and portions were small

Great fried chicken and ribs and good place to experience the "local flavor of Folkston" before you go to watch the trains.

Was hungry for a burger and wanted something good. Initially I thought it was a bit pricey but…read morefigured it just might be good. I ordered the Fungi Town burger red with french fries and my wife ordered the Greektown burger pink with fries and Poutine. We also caught the end of happy hour and ordered a draft hefe at half price $3 special and my wife ordered a glass of house wine for $3. Great deal. My Fungi town burger came out perfect and the bun was soft and it came with mushrooms and sauerkraut. It was very interesting, but I loved it. I got the special sauce on the side. It was so tasty and moist and I'd have to say it was remarkable. My wife liked her Greek town burger as well. The poutine was good and we discovered all the gravy at the bottom of the bowl, but after mixing it up, it was really good. I would definitely return. Don't let the $18 burger price scare you away. Especially if you hit it during happy hour you'll save on the drinks and the burgers are well worth it. Excellent burger.

The only thing, that absolutely shocked me, was they served pink lettuce in Caesar salad!! I took a picture, it was for sure more pink looking in person. I did not eat it. Cheese was clumpy. Buford burger was good, tons of flavor. Fries were really good. Tater tots were over cooked. But really, I'm stuck on the pink lettuce. Just visiting so won't be back either way.

I remembered a new BBQ place I saw in Folkston, so we headed out to try their flavors. As we neared the restaurant, I looked down Main St for a parking spot. The first couple of drive-bys didn't work out. I thought to myself, "This might be a good thing." We walked in and immediately noticed how simple the place was. My Self and I had another moment when he said, "It is simple because their focus is on the food," which seemed to make sense. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. I even noticed that the entire staff looked young -- or, if I may say so, high school-aged. We ordered based on our server's suggestions. We started with the Chicken Bombs, which were tasty. The sweet tea was well-made, with good flavor and not overly sweet. Our platter arrived. Keep in mind that this is Dry Rub BBQ, so the seasoning in the dry rub should complement the meat and be strong enough that no sauce is needed. Well, buckle up, buttercup, because the truth might hurt, and I hope this is taken as constructive criticism. The Good: Our server The chicken bombs resemble crab Rangoon, and the flavor was good. The baked beans--I was looking around to see if Duke from Bush's was going to pop up somewhere. The fried okra was good, but then again, it's not rocket science to open a bag of frozen okra and fry it. THE BAD: Let's talk Turkey: It's like the turkey spent its whole life in the Sahara practicing for dehydration Olympics. It was so dry that it made the Sahara Desert jealous, and take notes. One bite and your mouth feels like you've been chewing cardboard left in the sun for three Thanksgivings. It's so parched that the gravy boat is basically performing CPR on every slice. This turkey could star in a Western: "The Driest Gun in the West." "It's just a little dry... but anything tastes good with enough gravy!" The Ribs: The ribs seem as if they were mummified in the smoker and then reheated with regret. These ribs are so dry they're almost like beef jerky that got lost on the way to flavor town. They're drier than polite small talk at a family BBQ after someone brings up politics. Chew on this, and you'll see why cowboys carried canteens. Pure survival mode kicked in. The Brisket: The BBQ tragedy where the smoke ring was perfect, but the moisture said "peace out" hours ago. The fat cap was the only thing that saved this from being a complete disaster. The Brunswick Stew: first bite sets the tone. The cold temperature was off-putting; it was clearly not in the same vicinity as the baked beans. If they were, I'm sure they were jealous or just preparing for an Arctic blast. Reality is the best teacher, and experience lays the foundation for improvement. Pit boss, please taste your creations before serving the public. If you don't like them, I can assure you, we will let you know.

The staff are always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. If you have a dog, there's a nice outdoor patio where pets are welcome, and we've never had issues with flies while eating outside. It's within walking distance of downtown, but just far enough off the main tourist streets that it doesn't feel overly crowded or noisy. There's also parking right in front of the restaurant, which is a huge plus. And if you're visiting the Lightner Museum, it's just a short walk away! Highly recommended.

I ordered the fish burger and it honestly surprised me in the best way it was way better than I expected. My partner went with the regular burger and loved it too. I also have to mention the banana pudding because it was AMAZING. Easily the best I've had so far, and I'm not even exaggerating. The service really stood out as well. Our waitress went above and beyond to help me figure out what the veggie burger was made of and even looked into the company that makes it since I'm picky about veggie burgers. That level of care doesn't go unnoticed. We dined outside and although noisy from the traffic, it was nice. Overall, such a great experience. They really have something for everyone. Definitely recommend checking it out and don't skip the banana pudding.
