Dry Cleaner Review…read more The fact that I have to book an appointment to get my pants hem is an inconvenience when the turn around time it takes is no more than 6-7 minutes from the time I try on the pants to the time I am handed the receipt and walk-out. Furthermore, the customer service provided by the lady has been fairly poor and her responses have ranged from "why are you coming 3-4 minutes before closing?" When I do call to make the same day appointment, her response is, "I cannot give you the same day appointment because it is very busy." I would have no problem booking an appointment in the future if it was not for her attitude and cynicism. I definitely do not feel any warmth or good vibes. Otherwise, I cannot knock-out that Star One Cleaners is good at their craft and that there is a warm welcome by the gentlemen. Unfortunately, I do not feel valued as a customer and cannot return. Quality and fairly priced service is important but so is customer service.

Love how huge the washing machines are too. Everyone's nice, even if you don't speak Spanish, you can figure it out! They also offer wash and fold services. I don't know who the person was the owner or whoever that I meet and I don't care at this point but she looked me up and down, told me it's all cash here and sat down as if that would make me leave. I should have left as that was the sign of more horrible things to come. I told her ok I can pay cash, can I drop these things off, 3 dresses, two suit jackets and a pencil skirt. I'm classy and sometimes I think my class will rub off on haters..wrong again. One dress was white on top and black on bottom she said this will bleed too hard to clean but will try. She stuck tape all over it and put it to the side the rest she slid over not really looking for stains. I didn't have any stains to report but most of the time cleaners will at least look at the stuff before putting to the side. She told me ok pick up Monday. Didn't offer a day or ask when I needed it. My manager recommended this place so I thought let me give her a chance maybe the clothes will come out clean and looking good. I come Wednesday and a sign on the door reads gone till 5/30 vacation, sorry for the inconvenience. Say what now...so you couldn't call me and the other 3 to 5 people whose clothes are here that you are going on vacation for a month. You couldn't tell me that when I dropped off my clothes. TERRIBLE!! Now I'm a nice person most of my reviews are 5 star I don't really do 1 stars or 3 that much unless it's necessary. I come in on 6/01 I pick it up and let me son count the money whole time she's frowning. Ugh so I take home and look at my white and black dress dirty, same stains. I took the dress to my usual cleaner Flamingo a block away and they cleaned it as they have before. I don't usually toss out race but I went in with my Russian manager first time totally different experience that's why I came...never ever again. Black people can pay cash and deserve the same treatment. Keep your money go anywhere but here.

I so wanted to love this place but ultimately it comes down to the service. I gave it an extra star for the great conversation - she earned it. I dropped off a few items for cleaning and laundry - pretty standard fare but it took more than 2 weeks to get my items back. After a lengthy 1 week stated waiting period. Secondly they weren't cheap, I figured at their prices they would have speedy top tier service, not so much. I did eventually get my items and they were clean and properly handled but it took a while. I will be traveling to my old standby, it's much further from my house but has reliable 2 day wait times (& a rush option!), fair (not cheap) pricing and great energy.

However, I recently had an experience where I had to take two dresses to get altered. I was really limited in time and had to pick up the dress a few days before the event. Three days before the event, I noticed that the dress that I was going to wear had a huge gap in the middle, which means that it had not been closed up after it was altered. In addition, the alteration at the bottom was crooked I reached out to Michelle And notified her and if it was a possibility to come back because the wedding was the next day. Michelle was on vacation for the next two weeks and I needed to find another seamstress. She sent me to someone who was great who was able to fix the centerand was able to steam the dress at the same time. Spent way more than anticipated but I appreciate it her customer service although I am a little upset that this was not the result that I wanted because the dress ended up breaking so I did not end wearing, I would still give her another chance, and hope that this was a fluke. I spent 70$ to get it altered (it was still big), and the bottom was not straight. And then, I spent $20 to get it steamed at the other cleaners.
