Tonights experience was so rediculous it's hard not to laugh - except is cost me my weekend night and actual money. First off, whoever is managing this Bob's needs to be fired as soon as possible. Absolute silliness. So we started the night planning to go to Pericos (which I highly recommend) but that was closed - Sunday and all. Felt like a Saturday because of the 3 day weekend. We then thought El Porton or Bob's. Bob's won because they have my wife's favorite wine - Horan Estates Syrah. Okay. So Sunday night is Prime Rib night at Bobs - but it's not available until 5pm. We got there at 5:30. I'm thinking sweet it won't be overcooked. Well after ordering and getting my salad (which in fairness is a pretty good side salad) our waitress comes back and tells me we only have medium to well done on the prime rib. Really? ... at 5:30? on Prime rib night? ... But she's actually pretty cool and asks if I want to order something else. So I ordered the prime rib you see below. Now I live in Wenatchee and eat the Bob's (in Wenatchee) for lunch all the time - and it's good. It's not a Sunday dinner ... nor is it prime rib. So, she leaves the table with my new order and immediately comes back with my wife's entree?? ... I can't imagine a restaurant not holding or re-firing hers so that they came out together. Told her to go ahead and eat. She needed some sauce. Our waitress was busy folding towels or napkins, so we asked another server who walked by. She said sure right away .... crickets ... never saw her again. Our server finally came back and asked if we needed anything and we asked for the sauce ... only. "Okay" ... didn't come back with it tho. About 10 mins later my burger came out and she asked if we needed anything else. Ummmm .... sauce? ... Ketchup? ... she finally Brought the bottles. I actually say bottles, because we thought that they might be waiting on the kitchen for put the in ramekins - nope. You can see the kitchen wonder being reasonable if you just revisit the prime rib story. Had I known is was bottles, I'd have gotten up and gotten them myself. Sigh ... the morale of the story ... the wine was good ... *shrug*

    Mold on the burger bun

My husband & I went to Bob's to watch the Apple Cup. I ordered the Original Kobe Burger with a gluten free bun (I have Celiac disease). Without missing a beat or a second look, the server set the burger in front of me with MOLD on the bun. I called her back to the table & pointed out the mold and said I would not be eating & please remove it from the bill. How did the Chef miss this? Someone in the kitchen had to have seen this & they still sent it to the table.

Decent food. Modern sports bar atmosphere. Fast service. If you get a burger, get one with a pretzel bun, finally a bun that holds its own.

Terribly overpriced, cold food that should have been hot. Service was terrible. Will NEVER be back. Will spread word. Ridiculous!

Over the last year Sherrie and I have gravitated from their burgers to their chowder...probably have had it about 20 times. We've even bought Ivar's Clam Chowder from Costco to compare them. Ivar's has more creaminess and less clam flavor, and though Ivar's from Costco is the low-cost leader, it doesn't compare with EZ's "Dock" brand. I finally interviewed EZ's about it. The recipe is the owner's. "Docks" is the owner's copyrighted brand. It is fully prepared from scratch on site and I believe it is only sold out of this location. They started selling a larger 20 oz. size a few months ago and it's the perfect dinner size, completely satisfying (see the pic). - Scott

I ordered the Jalapeno Pepper Jack Burg and it was PRETTAY TASTY. It def had a kick to it. The fries were really crispy and fresh but the reason I took one star off is because the oil made them taste fishy...it was probably old oil or they used it to try their seafood but they had a fishy aftertaste which I wasnt a fan of. Service was quick and easy like any other drive-thru place. People working there were friendly as well. And the two drive thru lines made it so we can get our food faster. The burger was delish though so whenever I'm back in town visiting I'll be sure to grab another!

It's Burger King on steroids! You won't find tomatoes on the menu board, but almost every other combination of garnish (and companion meats) are options. I went with their stated classic, the "OG Mission" ('original gangster') burger. It is delicious, albeit noticeably greasy, due to the extra-high fat content of the ground beef. But that's where the rich flavor comes from. What Mission Burgers is doing right is highly seasoning the meat with salt and pepper, then punching up the flavor with pickles, red onion, and their special sauce. Add to that the richness of the cheese and the crusty, grilled bun--this is the winning combination at the base of all their other burger options. The other thing I really appreciate is, their straightforward pricing without trying to upsell their ingredients. The add-ons are inexpensive--slice of cheddar is $.50 compared to EZ's $1.47 for the same. Two suggestions: - drain the grease off the patties before assembly, - don't fold the wrapper in half... wrap the burger in a full sheet, stronger paper if necessary, keep it from leaking all over clothing. (I'll be back to check! :-) Otherwise, this is a 5-Star burger! (see the menu board pic attached for all the other options, including chicken)

Sadly, many of them have moved on. But some still remain, and encountering them again is exhilarating. I always look forward to the hugs and squealing laughter.--"...where did you go and what have you done...? We've missed you!" McGlinn's Alehouse is the place we spent most of our time for the first five years of our marriage. It was originally the Orondo Tavern, built in 1922 as a solid brick two-story commercial building in the small town rural American style--big, open storefront windows on the ground floor, and small offices and apartments on the second, with tiny windows surrounded in iron bar planters. Such buildings have long narrow internal staircases up the right side entrance--one you'd never access unless to lived in one of those vaults upstairs. I finally returned to McGlinn's tonight. I had been meaning to, long before this, but there was never any parking in front --many restaurants now have covered sidewalk-cabanas out front--a code violation waved during the COVID pandemic. Inside, the left wall is still that half-block-long cabinet of all the liquor bottles you can imagine, multiplied in depth by the mirrors behind them. Down the middle of the room is one long continuous table that seats 14 people on a side--yes, strangers sit together. At the very back wall there is still, the largest brick open-hearth wood-burning oven you'd ever bake a leg of lamb and two pizzas in, at the same time. And down the right side-wall were six wooden tables-of-four, all sealed in a hard resin clear coat, as shiny and clean as they were vintage and rustic. I sat in the first chair at the first table, my back to the stairway down to bathrooms in the basement below the sidewalk. I had the Pulled Pork Sandwich with Tim's chips, a departure from the "John Paul Bacon Burger with pickled onions (McGlinn's is famous for). Ask to sit in Sadie's section--she's been there 20 years. McGlinn's has been there 34 years! What's not to like about an old friend! -------== ##### ==-------

From the moment you walk in, the staff sets the tone with friendly, attentive service that makes you feel right at home. The menu lives up to the name--burgers are clearly the star here, and they're some of the best you'll find in the valley. Juicy, flavorful patties stacked high with fresh toppings, paired with crispy fries or onion rings that are just right every time. My personal favorite is the classic bacon cheeseburger, but honestly, you can't go wrong with any of their options. Portions are generous too, so you never leave hungry. What I also love about Bob's is how consistent they are. Whether I'm stopping in for a quick lunch, a family dinner, or a casual night out with friends, the food and service always hit the mark. Add in a cold brew or two from their solid drink menu, and it's the perfect formula for a satisfying meal. East Wenatchee has plenty of options, but Bob's Burgers & Brews is one I keep coming back to--and one I'm always happy to recommend.- thanks Sepi

Biggest surprise was the baked potato had a garlic butter - never thought of that and boy was it delicious. I don't really ever eat a potato side - I'll either ask for it to be omitted or maybe take a bite or two. It was delicious. This place is good solid Americana food. Nothing fancy, big portions.
