So I went this morning and he was on his way out to an appt. He ran outside and asked if I could come back in an hour as he needed to get to this appt. I said sure and left. He was very apologetic but I get it, life happens and we all have things that pop up. I went back around 12:45 and waited a bit as there was another customer in the bay ahead of me. As soon as the other car was complete I was waived into the bay. I showed him the Groupon and I accidentally purchased the incorrect Groupon for my vehicle (I have a Jetta) oops so he told me he would honor that one and had me pull up Groupon to see what the cost would be if I had purchased the correct one. He just charged me the difference for the one I had purchased and the cost of the one I should've purchased. I know for next time. It's a small business with two bays. I think it's just him and one other employee. He's very nice and I like to support small family businesses. I was in and out pretty quick too. He told me my tires pressure was really low. Explains why my sensor came on. Yes I'm one of those women! Anyway I recommend J's oil change.

I still don't think I'll be returning, the last few encounters have been awkward and I'd rather just move on. But I do appreciate that the owner was willing to reach out to me personally. I used to only deal with Gilbert, and he was amazing. Always made me feel comfortable, was very upfront about what I needed and didn't need in order to save me money. I sent everyone to this garage when they asked for recommendations. In the last year and a half or so, I've been dealing with a different younger employee. HeI've needed a lot more work done the older my car gets. I felt pressured to make unnecessary repairs in my car (even got text messages a month after telling him I couldn't afford any extra repairs, they insisted on fixing my struts). I was quoted $1200 for a recent job but had to pay $1400. That never happened with Gilbert. After that, a few days after getting my car back I had a steering issue. Felt suspicious because he had explicitly told me I might have a steering issue in the future but I had over a year before I needed to worry about it. I took the car back, and was quoted $300. I brought a knowledgeable friend with me who called him out on the repair being their fault and also on the quoted price being outrageous. We found the part for $30. My friend repaired it in a half hour. I miss Gilbert and have lost faith in this shop. Unfortunately don't think I'll be returning.

I took my car last Thursday to the Take 5 on Broadview Rd, in Broadview Hts Ohio for a simple oil change. The mechanic told me I need coolant added. I said OK because I was trusting and figured he wouldn't take advantage of an olderly women. I am 72 by the way. So, after agreeing to this service at the cost of $145.99 ,I woke up the next morning to find coolant all over my garage floor. I immediately took my car by the Take 5 and after examining my car he said that he had damaged a gasket while putting the coolant in and could not fix and directed me to call corporate after he called his boss. This happened April 23rd So, I did that and was told someone would get back to me in 4-6. What, 4-6 days, totally unacceptable! She said ,nothing else I could do. You mean to tell me that Take 5 has that many claims against them that it would take that long, with no one to talk to about a rental car or anything. In my frustration and research I was able to find out the district manager in charge of my case so I emailed him multiply times I still have heard nothing. Meanwhile my car is sitting in the driveway leaking coolant and I am not supposed to drive it. This the worst company and customer service I have ever come in to contact with. Do not go to any Take 5 Oil's !! I really hope the CEO of Take 5 who I think is this Marc Graham as well as Danny Rivera who owns Driven Brands who owns Take 5 all read this and make some changes. Your guys run a lousy business and should be ashamed of yourself for treating your customers in this way.
