Ice ice baby - look at how much ice there. Hard to find the option to adjust the ice levels on the order kiosk (if there is one).
    Christina L.

The decor is beautiful, but not well taken care of. Look closer and you'll see everything is dirty. Paint is chipped on the counter, the cursive on the front counter is broken off. This place looks like it started out with great design, but has been through the wringer since it opened. The menu is confusing to order from. Tons of options and add ons, but it was so long that I had trouble figuring out how to just submit my drink. D R I N K S There's a lot of ice in these drinks and I didn't see an option to take down the amount on the offer kiosk. I'm talking about more than half the drink was filled with ice, so it diluted my drink quite a bit over time. The Signature drink was tasty, but the boba wasn't chewy, almost as if it had been overcooked. The description sounds great, but execution is meh. My friend liked her Viet Egg Coffee. The Mango Supreme drink was more tart than I expected. Again, it had a ton of ice, so it was watered down by the time I delivered it to my hubs F O O D Mochi donuts are $1 on Tuesdays, but they're premade and not fresh. If you're a mochi donut fan, you know what that means. The topping seemed fresh though. I'm glad we came to try this place out, but probably would find another boba spot next time.

4 very expensive drinks with hardened coagulated boba balls that don't all go into the straws!

This is my first time in this Bober location, but this chain has been historically my favorite due to the fried boba preparation, their mochi donut offering, their large menu selection, and the cute Instagram-worthy decor inside. My kids and I had an afternoon at a pool so we were craving boba, so when we Yelped places in the area, we were happily surprised to find Bober here! SCORE! Unfortunately, after $30 later (an average cost is $7-8/drink bec of the separate cost for boba), I was super disappointed because the boba balls did not taste fresh! In the past, I remember the boba balls would hold their chewiness, even in an iced drink, but these were so hard, it tasted like I was chewing uncooked beans...in my milky pudding taro drink. HOW DISAPPOINTING! If we hadn't gotten the drinks to-go, I would have brought this up to the one guy who was working there. Even with the giant straws, my boba balls would get stuck and nothing would go into the straws because the balls would be coagulated at the bottom that I couldn't even dislodge them from the straw to drink the liquid portion! I tried blowing the hard boba off the straw, but that didn't work -- what a mess. What kind of super glue boba craziness was this?!! It was a waste of $30. Further, the interior decor was so cute, until you walked up closer than 10'. Then you'd see how much dirt was on each chair and "pig". It was really gross because this is a food establishment. Staff should be instructed on how to clean the seats since they are light pink. As far as service, there was only one other set of customers there (they already had their drinks), yet the staff member didn't greet us or talk to us the entire time we were there, other than calling out my name when the order was ready. Since the ordering system is by kiosk, the staff member could still humanize our experience since he was standing right at the front and not doing anything. It made the place feel unwelcoming. There are plenty of drink places in the area, from bobas and juices to coffee and teas. I hope Bober steps it up.

Stopped by at about 1pm and the business was empty. The decor is cute but could use some steam cleaning. (Not by fault of theirs but it is showing sign of wear and tear) Ordered a supreme strawberry green tea and a supreme grapefruit green tea. While the tea was not too sweet (which was perfect for me as you cannot adjust the sweetness level) I didn't really care for the flavor. It wasn't bad but just average and tasted more artificial vs good quality tea leaves and mashed fruit.

Chic and Instagram-worthy ambiance--super aesthetic and fun for photos! The staff was friendly but hard to understand at times, and service felt slightly unpolished. I got a box of mochi donuts: chocolate, ube, sprinkles, and a caramel-ish flavor. Some of the donuts tasted a bit stale, so it seemed like they'd been sitting out for a while. If you're coming specifically for mochi donuts, I'd suggest other spots with fresher options, since Bober Tea is primarily a boba-focused shop. That said, it's a cute place to hang out and snap some photos!

Jasmine milk tea without the attempt to mix up the sugar for us.

I dont care for the cheesy decors but when everything is not well-kept, it doesnt feel like customers are appreciated coming in here. Chairs and cushions are filthy, being in a pastel pink color also didnt help. We tried to play it safe by ordering the classic milk tea and jasmine milk tea. Both are water down. Especially, my classic milk tea just doesnt taste right. Plastic-y and rancid as if its spoiled. I gathered my courage and asked to the employee. He wasnt doubting me about that he pulled out the Milk tea Cambro and tested it infront of me, saying its supposed to still be good. And wow what i saw proved me right. The date on the was 09/28. We were there on 10/04, a whole week of premade milk tea as he claimed that it was still good. I was firm enought that he eventually agreed to change me another drink. I got the OG Viet Coffee and it tastes the same as the G7 coffee packet at any Asian market. One star was for the mochi donuts, and for changing the drink.

Roasted Oolong Milk Tea w. Boba, not a great choice
    Sherri W.

Bober was opened until 10pm so that was the reason for the visit. Otherwise, there was absolutely no oolong tea detected, it tasted like artificial powdered base. There was also a bucket filled with cleaner left right in front of the ordering counter. Don't waste your time or money here, there are way better choices & a quality Boba supersedes a convenient one.

The interior is super cute and great for photos or Instagram. The drink prices are slightly on the higher side compared to other boba places. They also offer mochi donuts, which is great if you're a fan, and have set menus that pair drinks with donuts. Definitely worth checking out for the quality boba!

    Raw center of the boba.

I want to give this place a better rating thinking that I must have had a one off bad experience. But I can only rate what I had and don't have any desire to go out of my way to try them again. The good. Their mochi donuts come in a lot of interesting flavors. I had their ube coconut which was just ok. Slightly greasy and not very flavorful. The worst was their boba. The tea was ok, but the actual boba was raw! At first I didn't understand why the drink was so gritty. Then I bit one of the boba in half and realized it was still solid raw starch inside. I've never experienced that before.

ordered the mochi donuts and selected what they had left. this is going to be an unpopular opinion but the mochi donut was just ok. it wasn't as fluffy (skinny circles) like the other ones i've had but the flavor was decent. the place was cute and clean but the staff could have been a bit friendlier.

Have not tried their drinks but their Mochi Donuts are amazing! Service was good , not busy at all when I went I was the only one there , nice low volume music and the shop was very clean and kept up .

I recently visited Bober for mochi donuts and was happy with my trip. The staff is friendly and the shop itself is cozy with some gramable picture walls. The mochi donuts are good and they have a variety of flavors. Each donut is perfectly chewy and has a unique texture that sets it apart from traditional donuts. They have a variety of flavors from classic matcha and chocolate to more adventurous options like ube and black sesame. It changes up so I like to get a variety when I go in, but to be honest they all taste kinda similar. Sugar frosting on a donut with a hint of whatever flavor/toppings they put on top. So you will get a slight flavor to it but I it is mostly subtle. The donuts are presented nicely with the colors and the toppings, making them perfect for sharing on social media. I haven't really tried drinks since I go late and can't sleep if I have caffeine but it's a good little spot to grab and after meal treat/snack. Overall, stop by Bober if you are looking for your mochi donut fix on the mid peninsula. I prefer the flavors/textures here over the palo alto location.

Luv the decor and mochi donuts! Unfortunately not the drink nor . Boba was not chewy but soft and after taste of burnt boba. Maybe it was an off day. The mochi donut of churro flavor was really good.

D1 and I have had this on our bucket list boba spot for awhile, but we weren't willing to go all the way to Milpitas and luckily for us a location opened up on the quaint little Laurel Street, albeit away from all the other shops and restaurants. Street parking out front and on Laurel is your option. Super cute inside, very aesthetic and picture worthy with super cute decor and backdrops. You can kiosk order as well as order at the register, we wanted to order at the kiosk in order to see the offerings. We both opted for the surprise stuffie in the cup and they're super cute @sanrio plushies dressed in Dino costumes. The drinks and the boba were good although we forgot to ask for light ice, as they load it up. She got mango with chizu and I got strawberry green tea. Would definitely go again.

Okay if you like boba milk. Not great if you like boba milk tea. Can barely taste the tea. All for the looks and style, not for the taste.

$1 donut per drink on Tuesdays. I didn't know initially about this and the employee let me know and saved me $7. I really appreciated that.

I paid just under $12 for 2 drinks (which I feel like is usually over 14 at other places) for me and a friend, and we loved it!
