Cute hole-in-the-wall boba shop. It's in that Theater District plaza in Redwood City where most event are held so it's part of the food hub whenever festivals are in town. There's usually 1-2 staff manning this little shop. I've never had to wait longer than 5 minutes for my drink, which is super impressive considering how long the lines can get. Drinks run very sweet; we like our drinks less sweet so we always get 25% sweetness, but it tastes equivalent to 100% sweet at other boba shops LOL TARO MILK TEA WITH BOBA: always our go-to order. Standard taro tea flavor, boba is chewy and has a touch of sweetness. Bobalicious in RWC really takes me back to high school days in Vietnam with such a classic taste. I've been here twice now - first time got taro milk tea at 100% sugar but it was wayyy too sweet. 2nd time I tried the peach milk tea with 75% sugar and it was much better, though honestly I'd probably go with 50% sugar next time lol. This shop is just so delightful. Their prices are so fair and not overpriced like a lot of new, trendy boba shops. I paid just under $12 for 2 drinks (which I feel like is usually over 14 at other places) for me and a friend, and we loved it! I got an almond milk tea with boba at less sweet, and I wouldn't change a thing! The tea flavor was prominent, which is a good sign, and it was perfectly sweetened without overpowering the tea. TLDR: Great Fruit Tea with good tea flavor. Big things really DO come in small packages! Normally, we don't find small tea stands very good. I'm not going to guess why. So when I arrived after seeing the good reviews, I was a bit wary. But the owner seemed very friendly and cheery. I ordered my go-to comparison drink... Peach fruit tea. Peach is a light flavor so I can taste the tea flavor while still having a nice taste. I usually get the least sugar (25%) and less ice, so I can get more tea! I like it very much! Not as strong a tea taste as I normally like, but there is still a fragrant jasmine flavor. The peach wasn't too sweet either. All in all a nice drink. A great bang for your buck boba shop in downtown Redwood City! We had just grabbed a late lunch in town and were craving some needed boba. SO ordered their almond milk tea, light ice at 50% sweetness. Mine had a little too much ice for me, but the flavor was good. Boba also had great flavor, but a bit too soft for my liking. Bobalicious is a small stand-alone building in the Courthouse Square plaza. It is a nice area and I like the concept of this small shop in the middle of a busy area/plaza. The guy working behind the counter was friendly and nice, hence the one extra star because overall, the drinks would had been a 1 star. I tried their Banana Chocolate Smoothie and jasmine milk tea with boba. The smoothie was unique, but it was a miss for me - it tasted like ripe bananas blended together with some type of off branded chocolate.
