I've been returning to Bobcat Nail for several years now, and I am happy every time with the results. This past week I didn't really like the results of my nails - a new tech was at the salon and he was learning, he did a good job just not the best - so I came back in and the owner took the time to do my nails herself from scratch. Didn't let me pay or tip after I asked a couple of times. I love this salon
I've been coming to Bobcat nail for almost 5 years off and on. Usually manicures and full sets. My sisters and mother and daughters get pedicures and are never disappointed. I prefer natural looking without any bling or anything and was beyond pleased with my last set. I've gotten so many complaints on the color!! Of course we will be back.
MY GIRL LINH!!!!! I am completely blown away by her work. She is so sweet and does an AMAZING job. My nails literally have 0 lifting after a week and a day. They have not broken or chipped and the shine is intact (pictures attached). *Quick disclaimer: i do not get acrylic on my nails often. I rarely go to the nail shop but my girlfriends around me make it a must to have their nails nicely done so i kinda know, you know?* The staff was really sweet, surprisingly the costumers as well. Met two girls and had a nice conversation while all 3 of us getting our nails done. I would SO recommend. Complimentary drinks also ;) P.S. I know for most of us this goes without saying but PLEASE PEOPLE, TIP YOUR NAIL TECHNICIAN! Doesn't have to be $10 (unless it is in your heart and rlly feel they deserve them) but tip them something!
It was my very first time getting my nails done here and it's safe to say I most likely will not be coming back. Although she was great, I just didn't like the way it turned out. I didn't like the way the ending of the nails was flat like they're my regular nails. I wanted the acrylics with the power on them as I mentioned it to her while she was dipping them. In a way I did ask her to do it the other way, not the dip as she could sense that I was already iffy about the nails and she reassured me they would be to my liking (which they ended up as not). I had never had dip in my life so I never really knew the process of them, if I had known they were gonna end up looking like regular painted flat nails I would've just went somewhere else had I known she wouldn't be able to provide the service I was asking for. On top of them being super thin they are very frail and one of them had already broke. I'm very disappointed with how they came out.
The woman who did my nails was sweet but she did an awful job. I had spent a month growing my nails out and the woman roughly and unevenly filed them down, then globbed on the dipping powder. This was my first experience with SNS so as she went I thought there would be another step that would make them pretty or at least smooth and even. Nope. I had my 6 year old with me and didn't want to make a scene (and her polish pedi/mani looked decent) so I paid and quickly left. The more I looked at my nails, the worse I felt. I went to NV Nails in Wimberley the same day and they fixed me up! I posted a review on their Facebook page relating my experience and it was deleted within hours. No response, no apology. Just deleted. Re: comment from Tim T. This happened in January 2017, not nearly two years ago. Hopefully the person who did this manicure is no longer employed by your business. I'm mostly upset that my original review (the day it happened) was unceremoniously deleted without anyone reaching out to me to fix the problem or, at the very least, apologize.
GO HERE. You will not be disappointed. I've gone all over San Marcos and the biggest issue with different nail places has been inconsistency. They'll do a good job one day and the next time I go it's terrible. Not here! They've been consistently great every time I've gone. Only downside is that there's almost always a substantial wait, but hey - there's a reason it's always that busy. Linh did my nails today and she did an amazing job. She suggested a nail shape I had never tried before and I was a little wary at first, but she did not steer me wrong.

The lady did what I requested, however there was no one there and it seemed rushed. And there were slim choices of colors that were "different". I was lucky to find the green nail polish because there were a lot of pinks/reds only. Other than that she did a great job and I was happy! read more

I've been here twice now & Linh is super fast but does a perfect job! None of my nails broke and they lasted until I went to get them done again. Compared to other salons in San Marcos this is my favorite. read more

I've gotten my nails done several times here. Linh is very sweet and always willing to recreate the pictures I show her from Pinterest. It seems like it's just the owner working, so it's a nice and relaxing atmosphere (especially if you have social anxiety like me). read more

OH MY GOD!!! i absolutely love this place and my nails!! the tech did literally the best job and was the easiest person to talk to! she was quick but with super amazing precision!! i will definitely be going back! the only thing is make sure you call first because she is working her tail hiney off and it's easier for her if you give a heads up! read more

Very good service! I came in looking to do a full set and I was seated within 5 mins. The ladies there were very sweet and loved to make conversation. My pedicure came out very nice and the whole process was relaxing. As for my manicure, I opted for powder for an extra $5 and they came out beautiful. The only concern I had was that I was charged for cuticle care ($5). This was after the powder was already on my nails. There wasn't a pre-soak before hand like in usual manicures. The pictures are a week after and my cuticles don't look as great as desired, but that could just be on my end. Other than that it was a very nice visit. read more
Bobcat nail & spa has redeemed themselves. I was in a bind before I went into labor a few months back and decided to give them another chance, I'm glad I did. Minh and her husband took care of my hands and feet simultaneously, which I was very thankful for. Instead of dip powder, I get shellac and am happy with their polish selection; it's not very large but they have a good variety of color. One of my concerns previously was that they do not use a tub liner, BUT they do use a spray cleaner in between customers. It is a smaller salon but they keep it clean, which I appreciate. I live in Kyle and if I have the time to make the drive, I will. Service is good here and they take the time to do my nails well. They do tend to get busy so call ahead if you can! read more

I went and got a set with a solid color but wasn't expecting it be 70 for such a basic set. The girl doing my nails was super sweet but kept cutting my cuticles and it was almost painful just getting my nails done. I'm pleased with how my nails look, but they're definitely not worth going again for $70. read more

This place is awful. Saw mixed reviews and thought I would give it a try on our way to San Antonio. I was left scratched and scarred on my face from my eyebrow wax after they used tweezers more than wax. My nail beds are peeling and painful. My the gel on my nails is already peeling (it's Sunday and I was just in on Friday) my nails look hideous, so much that I can't wait to get them corrected as soon as my nail beds heal and stop peeling. great place!!! did my long acrylic coffin shaped nails half pink and half purple, perfect for Vday! The lady was very nice and it was reasonable priced. I am so sad to leave this type of review for Bobcat Nails because I usually have such a good experience, but after my visit today I will never be back. I arrived a few minutes after they opened and was seated and taken care of promptly. I got a simple shellac manicure, but once I left I notice that one of the nails was smudged and several others were too chunky or uneven. So I drove all the way back so they could fix it. Two different nail techs worked on them and the second lady made the nails a little better but was filing them so hard that my fingers started bleeding!! So 2 1/2 hours later I am finally leaving with a barely decent manicure and two bleeding fingers. I am so disappointed and will not be recommending Bobcat Nails to anyone. read more

I am originally from Houston where pedicures are $15, and power nails at $25. I refused to get my nails done in San Marcos but i was desperate this time around. This place received three stars from me because the customer service was more than perfect. My nail lady was funny, engaging BUT VERY aggressive with my nails. I bleed from two of fingernails and my hands felt so sensitive afterwards. I am very picky with my nails and I kept having to address her of the unevenness and bulkiness of my nails. I ended up paying $25 for my simple ass pedicure and $45 for my uneven nails. I was dissatisfied but desperate times call for desperate measures. read more

I have been getting dip (sns) nails for 7 years and I am so glad a friend told me about this place a few months ago! They have so many options and my nails always last so well! Linh is amazing and really cares about her quality of work and the happiness of her clients. The other ladies here are also super sweet! I recommend this place to all of my friends! read more

I loved my nails! Linh did exactly what I asked her to. She left my nails flat and even, no weird bumps or anything. This was my first time here so I didn't get anything fancy, but I know that she can do what I ask for! She had messed up one of my nails by putting a powder of one color and corrected it immediately. She was quick to ask if everything was ok after she fixed it. She's Super sweet and super accommodating! I recommend and ask for linh! read more

There are lots (LOTS) of nail places in San Marcos to choose from, and I'm always hesitant to try a new place. I'm really glad I gave this place a shot. They are quick, but really attentive. Both Linh and Vicky are great, but Vicky is super attentive to details! The nail design she did for the holidays (snowflake) is spectacular. Give them a try, it'll be totally worth it! **UPDATE: It's been 2 1/2 weeks since I had my shellac done, and there have been no chips/cracks or peels! If my nails didn't grow so fast, I could see me keeping the polish for a full 3 weeks. They do a very good job with shellac at bobcat nails! read more

I really enjoy coming here because of the friendly staff and how much they care to provide a great service. My nails always look great and if for whatever reason there is something I don't like, they always do everything possible to make it to my liking. They always take their time to do my nails and I have yet to be disappointed. It is a small establishment so I highly recommend to make an appointment in advance, however, she tries her very best to make time and fit you in even if that means for them to stay after closing. I would definitely recommend this place over any other in this area. read more

I always look forward to my nail appointments with Linh. She doesnt let me leave without her making sure I absolutely love my nails. She is very thorough and sweet. I get dipping powder over my actual nails (no artificial tips) for $35. If you come to Bobcat Nails ask for Linh to get an A+ experience! read more

These nails for just one color, no design was $65 which was already ridiculous, but the fact they only lasted me a week is beyond frustrating. I wanted them to look good for an event I had coming up, but now they won't even be on at all and as a college student I can't afford to pay that price again within a week. Really upsetting. read more

Currently sitting with feet in cold water waiting for my nails to be done. I have been waiting an hour. I already had an appointment before I came in too. 2 people before me have already complained about waiting and 1 about the quality of the nails and has asked for them to be repainted. Will be back with an update on the manicure it's self. Update 4-10-17 My GEL manicure is already peeling even though on their menu is states that it will last for 2 weeks without chipping. When I got the gel manicure they had to redo my nails 3 times because the gel wasn't drying. I ended up staying there for 2 hours. They did offer to give me a free gel manicure if I come back it but it just doesn't seem worth it. I would not come here again. read more

Execution of the design was fantastic, I love these nails so much!! However, hygiene was not very great; when I walked in, a girl that was getting her nails done was finishing up and when she left I was told to sit where she sat without wiping down the surface or proper sanitation. read more
