Services Requested: fills and pedicure Quality: Fills- good the man explained he would have to cut them down shorter in order to get the shape I requested. Pedicure- Poor quality, the young lady was not interested in the job she was doing, but rather had her phone open the whole time she was working on the pedicure she was conversing by text message with somebody else and at one point actually a live video open where I could see gentleman's head. Very unprofessional. Vibe: I came in at 5 PM, they close at 7pm. It was slow. They didn't seem very excited that I was needing services. I even asked " Are you gonna have enough time? " The gentleman replied," we're both gonna work on you at the same time ." I tried to make small talk with them, but was not reciprocated very much. As soon as I paid and left it was 6 PM and they closed up shop early. First I'm going to start off by saying I love my nails, they're super cute and simple. Shape is amazing and it didn't take long at all. That's the reason they got an extra star. Now let me tell y'all I set an appointment for a full set and a pedicure 2 hours ahead of time to come in at 3:30pm. I arrived at 3:25 and he told me I needed to wait. I had no problem waiting seeing that I was 5 minutes early but I didn't get into the chair until 3:46 (16 mins after appointment time). Okay cool, not tripping on that but the guy who did my nails had me soak my nails in acetone (I had super short dip red nails) it took about 5 mins to come off. I waited another 15 mins for my nail tech to come back while he worked on someone's toes as I "soaked". He did not wash his hands after dealing with her feet and came over to my hands. He asked me what length I told him MEDIUM, coffin shaped. I asked for my cuticles to be cut, (waited all the way until the end to see if he would do them, he didn't) He clipped the tips and told me my nails will cost $70 because they were "long" & coffin shaped, and if I got them really short and square they would be $45 ...lol, okay. So boom, he begins to put this yellow acrylic powder on my nails and when he finished with my first hand I noticed that the color of the power was not very pigmented. It had swirls of clear around the bed part of my nail, so I brought it to his attention. He said it's because "you chose dis color and it's too light that's why I have to flip nail acrylic every time I place on yo nail" I'm like umm okay but I'm thinking "if this sh*t was quality acrylic you wouldn't have to flip the acrylic like a pancake 5 times before you lay it" never had a pigment issue with yellow at any other salon.. so anyways I'm like it's fine it's whatever because at this point he sounds ridiculous constantly telling me the same thing on every, single, nail "look look see this how I have to do to get your nail color right bc I care about you" okay????????? Idc. That's your job to care about how your customers nail looks. So he finishes filing my nails and asked me if I want the pedicure, hell no. But anyways when I was all done he waited until I got to the register to pay and said so "$70 for yo nail and $5 for the soak off" since when do you pay $70 for a plain Jane full set and also pay for your nubs to be soaked off? Girls just read the reviews of these places because customers are not angry, we're just letting you know what to expect before you get there. I died when I seen some of the salon's responses to the bad reviews, they literally argue back with the customer in the comments . I already let my girls in the group chat know to never come here unless they want to be fuq'd with no lube. Anyways I love my nails. They do good work, but not the most professional. The girl that did my nails gave me what i asked for, but made a big mess. There was excess acrylic harden acrylic powder around my nails, underneath my nails, and on my hands. Super glue which came off a few days later around the sides of my nails. Applied too much pressure when taking off old set of nails. When drilling, she drilled my cuticles so they they were a little bloody, that only happened because she wasn't paying attention due to her co workers fussing and she was trying to be the peacemaker. read more

After suggesting a cheaper way to fix and get the nails I wanted she began to work. I loved the way they turned out!! I wish I could have got her name but she did awesome! I went to the place based on the nail work on the page but shortly regretted it. The place was dirty nothing seemed to be cleaned not even a chair. The people Assumed myself and another lady could speak Spanish and translate for them. On top of that it was over priced I paid $80 for a basic set which was a short set with one color. I showed the man what I wanted hoping he could help me and just gave me the colors and told to look and remember the numbers, Most nail Places assist you when you show a picture. They're super nice, but when it comes to design, it's not the greatest. Twice I came in with a design they said they could do but both times it didn't match what I wanted. They asked me at the end if it was okay and I reluctantly said yes just cause I didn't feel like sitting another 20 minutes to get it fixed. The nail polish this last time started chipping off my acrylic nails within a couple of days and that's what made my decision to not come back. Unfortunately I'll have to look elsewhere. Came in to get French tip owner completely messed up my nails glued on the nail crooked and got mad when I asked her to redo it, she told me I could go somewhere else and didn't finish my nails, she also still made me pay. My nails were something simple and not complex, if I could I would leave zero stars. People pay to get what they want and if it's not what she wants to do then she kicks you out or tells you to go somewhere else. Absolutely terrible do not go into this store. HORRIBLE. I tried this place like two years ago and i wasn't a fan at all ,the acrylic powder was done too thin and then a day later my nail broke... BUT i came back this recent time for last minute and it was great! Specially how with all this Corona virus thing going on. But they were helpful, i'm usually indecisive but they worked with me and were patient with getting exactly what i wanted. The nail tech is extremely talented ! She did me a marble look with pink and blue and glitter powders ! i would've gotten stoned but i'm not made of money now... Not use to paying for these prices but hey it was pay day! A- HA - HAAA. So i layed $106 for this nail set , should've gotten them longer if i was paying that much lol. But whatever they cute. One thing i was disappointed was , i came for specifically glow in the dark powder and then told me it was GLOW IN THE DARK... After it all... turns out it wasn't :( ..... After I went to them this past week I had to thoroughly think about making this post. But I figured it was only best I let people know what they are going to expect from this nail salon, or at least what I encountered. So the normal place I go to for my nails is Alpha Nails at the mall, ps: they are AMAZING. But they were booked the day I wanted to get my nails done so I looked up good reviewed nail salons around San Marcos, and came across this one. First off, Tommy was the guy that did my nails. I specifically gave him the idea of what I wanted my nails to be, and also the pricing was outrageous just for the length I got! The length was not even long, like when I tell you Alpha nails has done my nails longer, I mean this and they never charge more for length unlike this salon did. So I showed him the length I wanted, he told me right off the bat it was going to be $60 for a solid black matte color on all nails and then one clear nail for the design I wanted. The design was a snake on one finger (both hands) he told me beforehand he could do the snake as I wanted. So of course I go with it. After about two times of him attempting the snake, since I wanted a design he told me the price was going to be $70 instead because of the design. So after him showing me how the snake came out, I disliked it. I told him it didn't look at all how I wanted, so he tried to fix it once more, and still the work was sloppy. So I tell him once more I still don't like it. So he looked at me and tells me "ugh! You too picky" as I tried to bite my tongue and NOT go off on this man, I laughed and said well sir, if I'm about to pay $70 for this set, it better be what I WANT. So he then tells me "you know what I'm taking it off, you can go find someone else to do this because I can not" in the rudest tone. Oh and by the way, he left my nail clear, did NOT give me what I wanted,or even tried to help the situation, and just told me ok it'll only be $60 without design. I also got matte and the matte looked so sloppy, he rushed through my set after I made him "mad" and the matte didn't even look like matte, it just looked as if it was greasy. Nether the less, I am NEVER going back here again. And I hope you ladies see this and take it into thought before getting anything done here also. read more

Nail tech didn't say a single word during the service and rolled her eyes on numerous occasions when I asked her to fix her mistakes, I recommend Alpha Nails or Queen Nails instead!
