I'm a HUGE health and wellness person and a fantastic massage is part of my ME time. For a while I've been searching for a place that gave "good" massages. I was a little skeptical bc of my previous terrible experiences at other places. I still wanted to keep looking so I tried B&C Day Spa and they definitely over delivered with services and customer service. My experience was relaxing and I felt tension being released from my body. Massage was good however I got weird vibes from this place. A man came in saying "yall do good massages right" "full body right" and kept asking if they were "good" and "full body" over and over again. Second the lady asked if she would massage my butt, I thought she meant over the towel like normal... no she pulled my underwear down and my bare butt was out the whole time. To add to that the rooms have low walls with curtains as doors, so if a tall person walks by they can see straight into your room. Lastly, they charge like $5 to use a debit card so I was going to pay cash, however I only had the exact amount and she looked at me and said "my tip" and gave the money back. read more

I was in desperate need of relaxation, my teeth were clenched for over a day and my whole body felt locked up, I was specifically looking to have my parasympathetic nervous system activated (get relaxed). Chair massage is a good fix for this so I was happy to hear I could pop in here since finding chair massage in town is like looking for Waldo. Unfortunately there is a 98% language barrier and you can't relay your needs this way. I went in there with an open mind because the establishment immediately has different standards than what is usual in most places that offer massage. There's no paperwork or pre consultation and the woman giving massage came out of her massage to greet me. It's hard to describe the place, it's some cross between a corridor and storage unit, and it's very dark, which is good for a massage area except the whole place is practically the massage area right when you walk in. The partitions are thin, I believe it was a curtain, I could hear a person on the table slightly moaning in relief or pain, as well as loud slapping noises which is a legitimate technique it's just unusual to hear someone's table session as though you're right in their with them. The massage chairs are not quality, they are not working with portal pros in there, it's the starter types that my chin was hitting the metal bar on. I am not joking when I say that the massage stressed me out more than I already was. She activated my sympathetic nerve system (fight or flight) by using sports massage techniques. She seemed like she was stressed herself and had frantic high energy, her movements were quick and repetitive like how you would produce friction. She would periodically say "it's ok?" and I'd say "yes" and then she'd laugh, as though it's funny because detailed communication is irrelevant when you don't speak the same language. She was talking with another woman loudly and laughing so I had no idea if they were talking about me or what. At one point I think the other lady was feeding her or helping her drink something, I could feel her lean over and swallow. She stopped my massage at one point to go talk with someone at the front while the other lady just stood at a doorway near me, not sure why she couldn't have gone to tend the front? When she came back, I gestured to my arms to ask if she could include them. She quickly jostled them and didn't know how to squeeze over my loose shirt and kept wringing it in a confused manner, she barely worked my arms and hands it was more of a fast sweep. When working on my neck she kept working over my hair instead of moving it aside or trying to ask me if I had anything to tie it up with. I was so startled by her rushed energy I didn't feel comfortable suggesting I stop her stop her to put my clips in for even a second. She ended with extreme spine wringing stretches that I really wish I had known how to opt out of for more time on my arms and hands. I also noted that she finished 3 minutes early and that's not including when she left during it. In all honesty the experience gave me additional worries and I left even more tense. read more

My girlfriend and I planned a girls weekend and decided to book a massage. I called several days ahead and they said they had availability but when we got there they seated us and then later they said they only had space for one. Super frustrating! The pricing was affordable however, "you get what you pay for" is the slogan here. I went today for my first ever full body massage(2 hrs) and had very mixed emotions. First, there is little to no privacy with see through curtains and a make shift door so I was hesitant at first but decided that it was fine because I was the only one there (at first). She started on my back and the best way I could describe it in one word is: EXCRUCIATING. Just imagine a bony shoulder being dragged all along your back with extreme pressure for 10-15 minutes. It reminded me of when a friend would try and give you a massage but purposely make it painful to make it funny. I tried to endure as much as I could and at one point she could tell that I was in pain and she asked if I was okay and I told her that it was hurting, to which she just laughed and continued. This happened two more times with the same result--her laughing and mockingly holding my hand to comfort me. There was a point where she pulled down my underwear and exposed my butt and I felt very violated especially due to the lack of privacy. Had there been a warning/communication I might have been a little more comfortable. In addition, she was also loudly smacking gum and talking/laughing with her coworker who was giving a massage in the room right next to us. Once I got through the back massage everything else was great and relaxing for the most part. I can say that I am VERY sore from the relentless pressure that she applied. If you're looking for a long and cheap massage and you are confident in your body for everyone to see, this place is for you. My boyfriend and I had scheduled an appointment for a couples massage at 12:30pm. We arrived about 5 minutes early. The lady that greeted us at the entrance was nice. She had us sit down and told us to enjoy complimentary wine and snacks (which was nice). She definitely should have communicated with us that they were running behind schedule. We sat at the front for 45 minutes waiting and waiting and not one person came up front to give us an update on how much longer we would be waiting. We finally got up and left because I was a little irritated at that point. I understand that this place is a little bit cheaper than others and, yes, you get what you pay for. However, there is a certain level of professionalism and respect that should be given regardless. In my opinion, there are so many other places you can go to for a good experience, so I wouldn't bother wasting your time. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with this little place. They are located in a small shopping plaza, so I was a tiny bit skeptical on the quality of the massage. I walked into a quiet, clean place. Area's are 'tented' off, no solid walls but I've seen something similar before, so this did not bother me. A lady greeted me and I let her know what I wanted, which was a combo - 30 min for back / 30 min for feet. Michael was very nice, professional. I let him know the areas of concern. He was Great. He worked out the sharp pain I had in my shoulders and back. He made sure I was comfortable, as well. The quality of the massage was More than what I had anticipated! Not rushed at all. I feel so much better and very thankful that I gave this place a try. Super affordable, lots to choose from, so it won't hurt your purse. Give them a chance, I'm sure you will feel so much better and happy you did. You can hear a little traffic noise, but they have nice music and plus you should be focusing on the massage,anyways.
