Great restaurant, bar at Mashpee Commons. Excellent menu with a wide selection of entrees and apps. Vegetarian choices, like the veggie burger looked good. Mac and cheese with a salad was a great choice for me, along with the potato skin app, which was excellent and full of cheese. It appeared to be home made as was the mac and cheese. Good lunch prices too. We sat outside on a hot day with umbrella tables and it was delightful in the courtyard of Mashpee Commons. Service was a bit slow, but we were not in a rush. I stopped in here this past weekend while visiting some family in the area. It was a Saturday night and we didn't think to make any reservations, so unsurprisingly we were told it would be a 45 minute wait. We asked the bar area how long the wait was for booths in there (they keep a separate list) and they told us it would be 20 minutes. That sounded perfect, so we headed to the bar to grab a drink while we waited. The bartender was super friendly and the drinks were good, so that part of the experience was a positive one. About 30 minutes later we checked to make sure they hadn't forgotten us and they assured us that they hadn't. It took another 20 minutes from there (so 50 minutes from the original request) before we were actually seated, so that was a little frustrating. Once we were seated the servers always seemed rushed while they were at our table and annoyed when we weren't always ready exactly when they wanted us to be. Overall I would give the service around 3-stars. I ordered the baked scrod which was outstanding. It came with mashed sweet potatoes which I wasn't expecting at this time of year but went with the meal really well. I also picked at a side of fries which were decent. For dessert we all shared a lava cake which was also delicious. I would give the food 4-5 stars. Overall, I was happy with this experience and loved the downtown area, but if I were to return I would probably just stop in here for a drink and then try another restaurant for food. This will be the perfect place for you if: you are starving; on a deadline; don't like chitchat and are ambivalent on food an ambiance. From the moment we sat down it was obvious that a stop watch had been set. Within the first ten minutes we had our drinks and we had been asked four times by two servers if we were ready to order. By the end of the next ten minutes our food was brought out by a tag team of servers. In another ten minutes the team reappeared ready to clear our plates. I'm so glad Bobby Byrne's is in Mashpee Commons. After a day of shopping, or before shopping, a meal is much needed. A good "cape cod" feel meal is needed. They have lunch specials which are great. Ranging from soup/chowder and sandwich, to baked scrod, to mini lobster roll. Their regular menu is huge! Salads as entrees, appetizers, seafood, burgers/sandwiches. It will please all, even children (who are anti-seafood). The portion sizes are fair, so you will get your moneys worth. My mom loves the baked scrod. My dad's staple at seafood restaurants is fish and chips, but he does not fancy the ones here. I am fickle, so I order whatever I feel like that day. I've been satisfied with all my choices. I really liked the haddock chowder they had one time. Not too fishy. Lots of pieces of fish, and less creamy and seemingly fattening than the clam chowder. The atmosphere is nice. I prefer eating inside just because, but the outside seating is great. It's a large area, and you can people watch. No dirty roads or cars driving by. You're opposite a store, and that's about it. We got here at 6:30 pm with two children 6 and 4 mounts the hostess ( who was texting on her phone) told us it would be 20-30 minutes we waiting over an hour before we walked back up only to be seated because she " lost us in a broken tablet " we then waited 20 minutes at our table for Jackie our waitress to come great us she took our drink and app order our drinks came fairly quick but our son waited 15 min for chocolate milk 35 min till we got our apps my wife asked 3-4 times for ranch dressing only to be ignored an hour passed after we got our apps to finally get our dinners the food was absolutely amazing but the service was horrible I understand short staffed but leaving 3 hours later is absolutely unacceptable read more

This is normally a good place to go for food, but after our recent experience last night, I was disappointed. The atmosphere is calm and at night the restaurant seems a little more intimate. But the wait staff were not attentive and I was frustrated with the lack of customer service. Before I had even finished my entree, the check was ready to go, albeit without a pen, and the waitress could care less about anything else we wanted. My son ordered a cheeseburger (medium) and fries. The cheeseburger was well done (like a brick) and warm, not hot, and the fries were cold. I ordered the Lemmon salmon. This is definitely my favorite restaurant in mashpee! The only downside is they don't take reservations , so we had to wait 30 mins for a table , which was a bit of a hassle since my grandfather is in a wheelchair and tires easily- but they sat us as quickly as they could, and we had some drinks at the bar while waited which made the time go by quickly. Our waitress was awesome - her name was Danielle , and she brought our appetizers and bread out quickly! I had the cod special for dinner which was delicious - baked pretzel encrusted cod with cheese sauce and delicious steamed veggies and rice pilaf. We had lobster stuffed mushrooms , and chicken bites as appetizers ( which were brought with all kinds of dipping sauces! ). The shrimp in the shrimp and scallop Alfredo was overcooked and chewy, but the sauce was amazing. This is a solid pick when you're in Mashpee for a quick bite. Large menu with fair pricing. Restaurant can get fairly crowded, especially during summer time & weekends so plan accordingly. This restaurant and bar is located right in Mashpee Commons! It gets very busy, especially during the summer but it is worth the wait. At night the bar gets busy and is popular for both the tourists and the locals. The food is always good and the wait staff is very polite. I enjoy my experience every time I go. read more

I don't eat lobster but have been told the lobster mac n cheese is really good here. Everything I have every gotten here has been decent, nothing has ever blown me away either. We were hoping this restaurant would have better food because the menu items sounded good. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. My husband tried the the stuffed chicken and the meat was so tough it was difficult to chew. The mashed potatoes were the best part of that meal. I tried the veggie burger with the tomato basil quinoa. The veggie burger was served on a white bun, (For health conscious eaters this wouldn't be the best choice.) and the burger was tough to chew as well, but the worst part was the way they served the quinoa. First of all it had a runny consistency and the tomatoes were soft and old. If this were my first time tasting quinoa I would never try it again! This type of salad needs to be made fresh on a daily basis. It tasted like it was a week old! Sorry but we were really looking for some good food on our vacation in the Cape and we didn't find it here. Our waitress was very good. She kept the drinks coming. We had great service. She was very positive and when she noticed I didn't eat my salad she brought me sweet potato fries after we had finished. She made a good attempt to turn things around, but it was really the food. I've been to this restaurant each year while coming to the Cape for the past 15 years. Tonight was, by far, the worst experience we've had. We had a group of 12 which I understand is a challenge for any restaurant. We were seated promptly at 6:30pm and we ordered shortly thereafter. Our dinner was not served until 8:00pm. with no explanation for the delay. To top it off, when dinner was finally served, several of the entrees were cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen. Our server, Sam, was doing what he could and I honestly don't think it was his fault at all. During our wait I complained to the manager. She left our table and went into the kitchen to see what was taking so long. She never returned to our table with an explanation or an apology. She never checked back after our dinner was finally served to see how things were. As we left the restaurant the greeter did not acknowledge us or ask how our dinner was.
