Dropped my car off for a diagnosis this morning. Zach was extremely aggressive telling me I did not have an appointment and practically yelled me out the door until he found it in the computer as I was walking out. I was contacted an hour later and told my car would require 2400$ in repairs to even be looked at. One of the brake pads on the passenger side I had just done was put in backwards by a friend. Zach told me I would now need all new brakes calipers and rotors for both sides of the front. Both sides are brand new. I need new pads on one side zach, not new everything for BOTH SIDES. The caliper and rotor on that side have been driven less than 5 miles! I was also told my car would require 4 new tires before they would inspect it. My tires are no spring chicken but nowhere near bald. His attitude during this call was even worse than the nonsense he was quoting me. I obviously declined and was told I would need to tow my car from the shop and sign paperwork saying it was unsafe to drive. Wow. What a joke. Never been treated so poorly by a front of house employee. I saw other reviews that clearly centered around him and his extremely aggressive and rude attitude. I'm sure this would have been a completely normal interaction with anyone else but all I have to say is wow Zach. I really hope no one else has to deal with this guy. Classic case of two people telling you two different things. The new guy tells me that $160 covers all diagnosis even if it takes them longer than an hour. The shift manager then tells me after I've dropped off the car and taken a lyft home that $160 only covers 1 hour of diagnosis and additional diagnosis costs extra. When I asked him to cover the cost of my lyft since I was misled he said and I quote "that's your problem". read more

I called this location to get a quote for some maintenance on my car. I had used Bobby and Steve's online estimate tool, but the quote seemed low so I thought I would call and check. When I got the quote over the phone by one of the employees at this location I chuckled and commented "wow that's not the quote I got on your online tool." The employee's tone immediately changed and he became aggressive and defensive as he explained that my quote was ridiculous. I told him I completely trusted his quote, I was just wondering why there was a difference and what work needed to be done as a part of this maintenance. Again, aggressively he went into a long monologue saying I don't know what "they" are telling you but... and then explaining the cost behind every little thing. Again, I told him I wasn't doubting the accuracy of his quote, but reminded him that this was his company's price quote tool. He kept aggressively telling me why the online quote was wrong despite no argument from me. Finally I had to cut him off. Listen, I'm a grown adult and know that car maintenance is expensive and I know that online tools can be wrong. Not a problem. But when someone's reflex is to be defensive, aggressive, and fight with a potential client? Sorry, you shouldn't be working with people. Needless to say, I won't be going to Bobby and Steve's. And let me make this clear - it is NOT because of the quote. I think I was quoted a fair price. It was because I don't want to work with people who are rude and aggressive. Went in for a cooling fan replacement. Had observed my cooling fan not working and brought it in to have the fan replaced. Told them I had inspected for coolant leaks or other cooling system issues, and had no problems other than the fan not kicking on. Was charged $188 to confirm that the radiator fan was the problem when I already knew that by observing myself that the fan wasn't coming on. They were going to charge about twice what the job was worth. I walked away after paying my diagnostic fee and the manager continued to argue with me for about 5 minutes after I had already paid. I tried to drop it 3 times and he followed me outside and wouldn't leave me alone to yell at me and explain how he was right. Terrible service. He also verbally abused another customer in there with me when demanding payment. Never going here again! Don't waste your time! Terrible! It even said on my receipt for the diagnostic that a customer concern was a fluid leak! I had informed him twice that I had inspected for leaks and checked coolant fluid quality and level! They would get it done that night (they did) 2.). It would be less expensive than other place They got it done but it was expensive and we had to ask for our 10% discount. I have been to many Bobby and Steve's. The locations that i have visited are always modern and up-to-date. The customer service is always friendly. This place is no exception. I feel comfortable stopping here for gas and other needs. I have not ever had any service at any of the locations but i would feel comfortable giving them a try if i were in need when near one of their locations. They seem professional and trustworthy. This particular location also has a Von Hanson's Meat Market attached to it. They have a good meat selection with a lot of good treats to purchase for your furry, four legged family members too. My dog gets spoiled with natural bones with marrow and other natural treats that your dog will love and they are inexpensive!! I like to swing in here and kill 2 birds with one stone. They have modern car washes that seem to be maintained well also. I like a clean car too. It also helps that I work nearby and it is convenient as well. Maybe i will see you there. read more

Batter dead; said I left my lights on and since I let my dog out multiple times you'd think Id notice in my one car garage if my lights are on which they weren't...this is also a hybrid so it's nearly impossible because the car shuts everything off and goes into battery saving mode because the dashboard tells me it's on battery saving mode which is tell tale for you to believe that you need a new battery (ford forum easy to find) but instead they charge the battery told me nothing was wrong with it charge me $135 which now I'm at the dealership having it done right not to mention the incredible unprofessionalism from the manager that was there... God forbid a woman asked any questions about a car that she knows a lot about. My first two experiences here were bad, my third and last time here was a DISASTER and cost me a lot of money. It was a disaster because a Zack 100% choose to make it that way. I told him this repair was part of an insurance claim, and I needed him to document what was replaced and why. I guess that was asking too much. After the work was complete, he flat out refused to provide me with any documentation. No good reason, he just didn't want to after he got paid. His actions resulted in my insurance claim being denied as I didn't have the documentation I needed. I wonder what was Zack trying to hide? Did they repair stuff on my car that didn't need to be repaired? Not to mention the poor customer service I've received every time I went there. I dealt with Zack every time and it was like I was bothering him by patronizing this business. I'm voting with my dollar and never returning here. I also make sure to tell EVERYONE about my experience. To management, Zach is not doing you any favors. He's destroying your local customer base. I'm new to the area, but after talking to some of my neighbors, most avoid your establishment because bad experiences. read more

The guy that works at the front desk here is extremely rude. I have been here twice and he has been unhelpful and crabby. An elderly man was in the waiting room with me. When the man at the front desk abruptly interrupted our conversation to check him out. The man was inquiring about what was wrong with his car and the man at the desk refused to explain to him and got noticeably irritated. He was very rude to the old man, and he left. I will say another person that works their came out to help me the first time after the man at the desk pretty much said no he won't help me. The other guy rushed outside and helped me. All I asked was for him to help me get my coolant cap off because it was stuck. read more

Went to this location recently to use the car wash. I have a small SUV. The washing mechanism bent the back license plate during the washing process. This is disappointing. I had to take the plate off and bend it back so that it would look okay again. Sure, it cleaned the back window okay, but the mechanism shouldn't bend something that's a permanent item on a vehicle. read more

I never knew I'd have such a problem with the costumer service / quality representative with an auto mechanic shop when I asked to check the vehicle and repairs before paying the 450.00 $ balance. I guess Scott's had issues in the past with costumers going out to their vehicle and driving off without paying. Needless to say he took his previous negative experiences out on me. I was told to take my business elsewhere. When I asked his name (SCOTT) he tried to humiliate me by informing me he's the guy who handles all the complaints so nothing would happen. Thank goodness for yelp. The work was done in a timely manner, and repairs were done correctly. But I will never go back due to one jerk. read more

Matt and Scott are great guys - I've always found this to be a fair and honest shop. They offer 24 hour towing, and recently updated to a new fleet of service vehicles. The interior waiting area is always clean and the tv always works. They offer waiting or dropping off, and area always very flexible about getting stuff done. They're open on weekends with convenient hours (until 6:00!) and work to get you competitive pricing. If you do have work done here, bring your receipt into the gas station for a free car wash! This wash on the other hand though... it'll take 20 minutes to get 4 cars through as only one is allowed in at a time. All in all I've always been pleased with the work these guys have done on my cars. read more

My car broke down up the road from this shop and the staff were helpful and willing to quickly get my car in to check out what was wrong. They fixed everything the next day and for a fair price. I love the connivence of Bobby & Steve's, not necessarily the price. I work down the road and they will come, pick up my car, give it an oil change and bring it back. They never try to upsell me on anything I don't need. They offer to fill it up with gas as well and give it a free car wash. All interactions I've had have been pleasant both on the phone and in person. read more

This place is a disgrace. Don't even deserve the 1 star i am forced to give them. Take advantage of a young woman that's putting her trust in you to fix what's wrong with her car. Instead charging her $1000 for 5+ hours of labor for an oil change and a $170 part. She came in with an engine light on. What did she leave with? An engine light on. Then told " oh we didn't fix that, the guy working on the car is new haha" REALLY? Then leaving her crying and broke . But to diagnose will be another $200. Do not go here. Even for something that should be as simple as an oil change. Zach, a service manager, was rude and condescending. Before I could pick up my car or pay for the oil change he berated me because 2 air filters in the car were dirty. However instead of just telling me that, he pulled them out of my car and had them waiting for me under the service counter! He apparently thought I couldn't process the words: you might want to check your air filters or write it was apparently too much trouble to write those words down for me. No he had to show them to me urging me to get them fixed at that moment and when I refused repeatedly he said "then take a picture. I never see air filters this dirty." I then had to wait 15 minutes more for him to install the filters back into my car. I will never ever go here again. read more

They're pick-up drop-off service is really convenient for company employees in the neighborhood, and their work is speedy and efficient. The customer service is also quite good, a very respectful staff that gives you a complimentary wash after the work is done. However... The wash. The wash scratches your car. At least it scratched my car. I bought the car used, and the first time I brought it through I was suspicious of some scratches that suddenly became noticeable, but I chalked it up to them being there before, and that I was only seeing them now because the car was freshly clean. Then I brought it back, and got scratch duplicates next to the scratches I was suspicious about. All of the scratches also go in the same direction that the brushes wash. These aren't tiny scratches either: I have two carved out grooves on my spoiler, a deep nick on my hood, and some longer streaks on the side of my doors. My car is tiny too (2008 Prius), so it doesn't make sense to me how badly it got nicked when there's big pickups and SUVs going through the same wash, but it definitely did. There's nothing I can do about this either. If I tell them "your wash scratched my car" I'll probably be told the scratches were already there or to call a number and be sent on a fools errand. Anyway, it's touch-less washes for me from now on. As far as the quality of work goes for repairs, it's good. The parts they use are insured, and they'll stand by anything they do if that part starts giving you trouble, which I really respect (they redid a rotor installment job for me free of charge). However, this insurance and this guarantee come with a price, and it's usually quite expensive. It got to the point for me where I started getting stomach sick when ever my car started acting up because the repair quote was reliably between $1,000 - $1,800 every time. Perhaps it was just bad luck with my old car (a 2001 Ford Taurus at the time), but still, the price point seemed quite extreme. For example, I once had a strut spring go out on one side and they wanted to replace the entire assembly instead of just the spring. Then they also recommended doing the other side as well since struts age at the same rate and the other one would most likely go out soon. That all makes sense and sounds well and good, but then you find out the price to replace two strut assemblies is $800-$1000 instead of the $300 or under price for replacing a spring on one strut. To sum up: good customer service, don't use the car wash unless you want scratches, quality of service is good but expensive. read more
