I like the former because I can pay for gas through the BP app without whipping out my credit card. Sadly, I couldn't log in to my BP account in late September. The site was being annoying and wasn't authenticating properly. Instead, I hit this Speedway. Speedway also has an app, but you can't pay for gas on it. You can scan your app's QR code for your rewards at the pump. On the rare occasion that the QR code doesn't scan properly, you can submit your receipt on the app and it works well. I've been to this gas station a few times now. I never have an issue finding an available gas station. Filling up has always been smooth. It's also impeccably clean. This Speedway has a convenience store. I have yet to set foot in it. I was here a couple of weeks ago. It was unseasonably hot. Seeing firewood in front of me felt weird. It's perfect if you need logs for your fireplace to get some here. The location is decent. It's off Cedar Avenue, which is convenient. It's also close to where I normally stay in Bloomington, near Mall of America. It's a good gas station. (410)

Great job guys for having your companies back and for letting me know that, I no longer needed to hold on to my pearls and purse tightly! I had to play games with them to sell me five separate lottery tickets Haley, the clerk, along with a young man were working there at about 830 PM on Friday, December 19. said their manager said they could not sell separate lottery tickets. The treatment the young woman was embarrassing in front of other customers. I've been a customer of this store for decades. The woman became very snippy when I walked outside and came back in. I have no idea who trains them, but they are HOSTILE. The reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is that the pharmacists themselves are the most affordable compounding pharmacists around. Bloomington Pharmacy is much nicer to people and they do compounding but they are pricier. If you can afford it, go there instead. This pharmacy frequently does NOT notify me that my prescription is NOT ready or why. They always blame me for their lack of communication so I try to build this into my refill process. They never have the right sized plunger / syringe combo for my liquid medicine. Two other plusses are they are 24/7 and they have a drive through. The customer service though, especially over the phone is absolutely horrendous so do not deal with them if you are vulnerable or sensitive - take reinforcements. I am not sure why their default setting is so unprofessional, but if you ever get a nice person, it's a pleasant surprise. #latestagecapitalism

What's cool is that I get an alert saying that it's running low. While in the Twin Cities, that alert popped up. My hybrid smartwatch was at 22% battery life. I had two options. I could revisit the Fossil store at the Eagan outlet mall and get it replaced there. The other option would be to find a place that sells a replacement battery. The latter was the better option. Get me back into that Fossil store and I'd probably get another smartwatch. I did a search and found this Walgreens three minutes away from the hotel by car. The next day, I went there after having breakfast. This Walgreens has a lot of parking. I backed my rental car into a spot and walked in. Even though I had never been to this store, the layout is typical for Walgreens. I headed over to the battery section to check it out. I wish that my local Shoppers Drug Mart and Rexall had a decent battery section like this Walgreens. The last time I needed the same type of battery, they both let me down. I ended up finding it at Staples. I found the battery size that I needed immediately. I was elated! I also appreciated a battery sizer. You can bring your battery in and match it up to figure out the exact type. After finding what I needed, I did a lot of browsing. I got stuck in the Christmas sales aisle. I swear that I wanted to buy everything. The Nerds guys looked cute in their Santa hats. I contemplated getting flashing LED earrings to annoy folks around me. The small Squishmallows were adorable. I had to pass on everything, as I didn't have all that much space left in my luggage! However, I did get a small, cute M&M's Christmas tree LED gadget. It plays a Christmas tune and lights up. It was $2 and comes with milk chocolate M&M's The cashier was great. I entered my phone number to take advantage of collecting rewards towards a cash discount (I'm so close!). It was easy! I paid using a credit card. I got my watch battery and thanked him. I got into the car and actually did the watch battery replacement there. I just needed a quarter and some patience. Thank goodness the packaging wasn't horrible to take the battery out. I was thrilled that I didn't have to head back to my hotel room to get my small pair of scissors. My hybrid smartwatch was back in business. Yay! This Walgreens is now my favourite one in the Twin Cities. I'm continuing my drug store tour with every visit. (29)

The closest McDonald's with a drive-thru by my hotel was just south of this Speedway. It was easy to pick up dinner both times, drive up to fuel my rental car, and then drive back to the hotel. I like this gas station. It was clean around the gas pump that I used both times. I was able to pay at the pump with a Canadian credit card without any issues and drive away. I learned recently that if you have Speedy rewards, you simply select the Alt ID option on the gas pump's screen and enter your phone number associated with your rewards. You then get credited for points once you are done fuelling. If you do forget to enter your phone number, you can still claim your points through the Speedway app. However, you can only submit one transaction a week. Otherwise, if you have more than one fuel receipt, you can call customer service where multiple fuel receipts can be processed. It's amazing what you learn when you speak to a helpful customer service representative and you sign up for Speedy rewards blindly. My first experience visiting this gas station was memorable. As I was filling my vehicle's gas tank, I heard a lot of squawking. This gas station is next to a Mexican eatery. A man came out of the restaurant, took a chicken out of his truck, and walked over to this gas station's convenience store cradling it as the chicken squawked. The man looked through the gas station's window and then walked back to his truck with the chicken. One word: weird! My second visit wasn't as exciting. No chicken. No squawking. Not even from customers! I fuelled my car and left without anything odd happening. I do like this gas station. I'd return again to see if the chicken guy comes back with the same clucker. (28)
