Bobalicious definition: make the boys go loco (for pearls) I love coming to a new town and finding a boba shop with some good offerings. Ignoring the bites portion, they allow you to really customize your drink to whatever you enjoy. I ordered at the kiosk and went with their Jasmine Milk Tea with Oat Milk, less sugar and ice and without the boba cream foam. Drink took about ten minutes to make with all the other orders, but that's okay since the venue had a lot of open space for seating and even some boardgames. Staff here were super nice. They asked me to sample the drink to see if it was sweet enough before pouring it into the cup. I thought their creation was def sweet enough so no further adjustments needed, but I appreciated the reach out! My drink was great and I loved the large portion that was given. The boba itself didn't have as much flavor or chewiness to them, but they're always a fine addition to making these drinks what they are. Next time I'm in Monterey, I wouldn't hesitate to return for another round.

Popped into this place in downtown Monterey for a boba and ordered up a Watermelon and Kumquat Lime Slushie, 24 oz. ($7). Service was prompt and attentive. I paid cash so it was a bit smoother. The business has a large causal seating area with a large tv.

Had some errands to do in Monterey, and decided to do them on foot so I could visit who I needed to and find a milk tea while I was about. BobaLicious is an interesting spot. The environment is welcoming enough, but I'm not sure why they added "& Bites" to the name. The bites are bags of chips or candy, and ice cream. The name made me hopeful for something a little more substantial, but that's on me. My Jasmine milk tea came out slowly. While the person behind the counter was accommodating and kind, and the WiFi was good, the tea took a while. I've learned to order 75% sweet just in case, and boy let me tell you I'm glad I did. Even the 75% sweet is a bit much. If I ever come back it'll be 50 or less. I ordered regular ice, which on a cool day melted almost instantly. While the taste was decent enough, I'm not sure what exactly in my Jasmine milk tea is making it pink. Is it the milk? Is it powdered tea? It doesn't taste gritty like powdered tea... the mystery lives on I guess. The tea is ok, and if I'm wandering around and have a hankering I might come in for a lower sweetness level. It's definitely not a place I'd travel to visit, though.

As a local, it's not easy finding a decent authentic boba spot around here. Ever since I discovered BobaLicious about a year ago (while the owner was still serving boba in his green truck) to this day I still support this local business! Not my first visit, but first time bringing my son, and one of his autism superpowers is that he has a highly sensitive palate, so he's hard to please. Our orders were taken with friendly smile, and I'll admit, the owner didn't write them down so as he took the order for the folks behind us, I just trusted that he had a young steel trap memory. Safe to say, my kids were stoked! My son ordered the choco wheels, and he inhaled it so fast I was shocked. As discerning as he is, and the fact that he ate every bit of boba...he thoroughly enjoyed it. My daughter liked her pineapple passion fruit freeze so much that she's saving some of the boba for tomorrow...yep, leftovers in the fridge! Clean, a great variety of seating (couch, chairs with tables, barstools), this will continue to be a boba stop when my kids want a treat!

I love this boba place! The gentleman that runs it is extremely friendly and the boba is really good. It's a small little almost food truck place, so it can take a little bit of time for the order to be ready but I don't mind!! My personal favorite is the #15 Tiger Milk tea! So delicious!! read more

Decent boba for the area, the two people working New Year's Eve were really nice. The chef let us try our drinks too make sure the sweetness was correct. We got the queen bee and the coconut parrot. If you like coconuts like the taste of almond joy, or mango sticky rice. You should try the coconut parrot. read more

This was an amazing experience. Customer service was phenomenal; we were given samples of what our drinks were before we were charged and once we gave our approval, we happily paid. I will definitely be returning. I ordered from the non-dairy menu, sweet romance, and was pleasantly surprised by how yummy it was and the two types of boba included (popping & regular). Every time the door of the truck was opened, we were met with a delicious aroma of Indian cuisine that we will have to try next time. We highly recommend visiting! read more

I've been here twice so far and have had great experiences both times. First time I order the "Sweet Romance" with lychee jelly and my brother the "Thailindia Tea" with boba. My brother said the boba was cooked well. We also ordered the "Chicken Tikka Masala" with naan bread and it was delicious! Service was great! It is just one person making the drinks and food, so give him a break. He let us taste a sample of our drinks to make sure it was to our liking - I really appreciated that. The milk tea itself was pretty taste-y but the boba was not at all sweet. Boba is supposed to be soaked in a sugar mixture, but it did not taste like the kind they used was. The boba also had a weird consistency- too mushy. Really disappointing. read more

Visited here while in Monterey and amazing! They let us try our drinks and adjust the sweetness if needed, which was amazing. The menu has great flavors and offers iced/hot options. Also some good bites on the menu! Super nice guy that works there, truly wants to make sure the product he delivers is spot on for the customer. I was at Monterey the past weekend with my family and saw this across the street of our hotel, Abrego Hotel. My initial thought was ouuuu boba! Looked on yelp to see what they have, decided to give it a try. This little spot was next to a gas stations. I initially ordered Queen Bee for myself, kiwi slushie for my boyfriend and a chicken wrap but decided to switch out my Queen Bee drink for a mango lassi instead so my little one can have some since queen bee has caffeine. We waited quite a while for the food. There were a group of 3 people ahead of us so plus our wait time, I'll say we waited about 30 - 40 minutes for this. When we FINALLY got the food, I was excited to try it, so we headed back to the hotel. The mango lassi was unlike any other mango lassi I've tried. It almost tasted a little weird to me. I had some of my boyfriends drink as well. Not impressed. The boba wasn't on the chewy side, it was bland and the drink just didn't have a good balance. I ended up drinking water and tossed away my mango lassi. My boyfriend drank about 1/3 of his drink and decided to throw it away as well. My chicken wrap was ok. I expected more from it. The chicken itself was super flavorful but I think it was overly flavorful because the wrap doesn't have any other flavor to it in my opinion so the chicken just seem overpowering. The chicken was made on a skewer, they tried to wrap it like a burrito style so when I bite it like a burrito, all I got was nothing on the edge and a big chicken bite in the center so it was kind of weird to me. I had no flavor when I bite on the side and then BAM! the chicken hit me up with too much flavor so I didn't have the balance I was looking for when I was eating this. So I ended up tossing away the chicken wrap as well. I spent about $19 altogether. Not a smart decision on my part. read more

Zero stars if that's at all possible! I was second in line and waited 25 minutes for my order of 3 drinks, only to be told I need to wait yet another 6-10 minutes. It was unbearable as it was a 96-degree day and the employees were working at snail pace. When asked on the status on the drinks their attitude was rude and annoyed. Also everyone had to write their orders on pieces of paper--how archaic! Do not come here!!! read more

Well I had very high hopes after reading the reviews and seeing the high stars. We are staying in Monterey two weeks. We were looking for a good boba drink place but just couldn't find a place that has good reviews and still has reasonable prices. This is the cheapest and best boba that I have had in the Monterey area so far. The man that helped my friends and I was very nice. What I love about this place is the fact that they let you taste test the drink and ask if anything is too sweet/needs more sugar, etc. I will definitely be coming back again :) read more

A food truck in a parking lot, but the server really works to get the order perfect. Made suggestions, let us taste the tea he mixed before pouring over the boba. Made adjustments and even offered to remake a drink to ensure it was perfect. Really nice service and really good tea. read more

Boba drinks made from scratch and they were amazing! Taro was made amazing! The boba balls are softer than I am used to. He was also kind enough to offer a taste of other drinks he was making as well. Only 1 guy in there making drinks so the wait was a lot but the drink was great! read more

Perfect snack size, and very tasty. Service is friendly. It's not quick, but that's okay. I would definitely come again whenever I'm in the area. :)

The menu is quite extensive with lots of items to choose from. I had a difficult time with my final decision which was Pad Mama with tofu. My husband ordered the Orange Chicken. When his food arrived he remarked about the plating which was very orderly with none of the food overlapping which he appreciated. I had asked for the spicyness of my dish to be on the mild side which it was. I enjoyed the vegetables crispness and the tofu was very flavorful. Extra spices are available if you ask for them. The prices are reasonable two entrees and two beverages came to under $50.00. I am looking forward to returning to sample some of the many other dishes on the menu. Definitely Love this Thai!!

If you haven't come for lunch then you are missing out. I know for a fact that they every day they get the freshest vegetables and other supplies. I see the owner out and about shopping daily. If you haven't been here or think it is just another Thai restaurant then you are mistaken. People I have run into in other states who have traveled to Monterey say to me they have had dinner there and have praised and raved about the food. People on vacation mostly talk about the Monterey Bay aquarium or the golf course is not too many people talk about restaurants except for Krua Thai so if you miss it when you came to Monterey, then you're missing out.

The BEST boba tea I've ever had. Worth the wait!! We had a long drive back to San Francisco after spending the day at the beach, so we needed a little afternoon pick me up. THANK GOODNESS we found BobaLicious. I ordered the coconut milk tea. We received samples mid-way through the order making process to give feedback on the amount of tea, milk, coconut, etc to match our tastes. It was already perfect so I didn't ask for any adjustments, but the fact that he asked was so cool! I've never had that kind of care put into my tea before. Please be patient while your order is literally CRAFTED from the hands of a tea master, it will be worth it! Went because I wanted boba and the guy did not even wear a mask. Want someone talking to you from above in a food truck and spitting in your face? Go here. Went to Tzone instead. Please be a more responsible business because you can easily spread COVID to all your customers if any of your employees have it. If you can't even take into this consideration, I dont want to imagine what goes on to the food making process. Not cool. read more

Me and my friend headed after having a horrible experience at TZone. My friend had a Thai tea and said it was awesome. I had the very berry which was yummy too. I recommend coming here for some great drinks and boba. The people running were very kind too. I'm looking forward to trying there boba ice cream later read more
