This is one of my favorite coffee/tea shop in Duluth area. Their boba tea is the best. My favorite is honey lemon green tea slushy with extra boba and aloe. The owner is very pleasant and personable. His smile brightens my day every time! This place has lots of board game so it is one of the best hangout spots with friends. This place kinda small and gets packed easily so sometimes it is hard to find a seat. They also sell small food such as Taiwanese chicken nuggets (absolutely delicious) so try it when you visit next time! read more

My favorite thing about this place is the prices. Entrees will cost about 7.99 and snacks 3.99. You really can't beat that, and the servings are very generous. I can't say too much about their drinks, but everyone seems to love them. I purchased a watermelon drink for my son, and it was surprisingly good. I love fresh fruit drinks, not the powdered stuff, and I noticed a sign saying fresh fruit daily. So I will definitely have to come back for a drink, especially now that I have a punch/stamp card. I ordered the curry laksa noodle soup. The taste is good, very flavorful. The only thing is there was two different meats in it.... one of them which I wasn't sure what it was. I ordered the Taiwanese nuggets and i must say it was obviously much better than your regular chicken nuggets. And my son got the burger and fries. They make several different kinds of fries and he asked for the garlic. I've only had garlic fries from one other place, which was wing stop, and the garlic fries here were way better (and that is only based on my one previous experience). The food to me is ok, nothing I would really want to try again. This place was really busy around 8pm, which confirmed how popular this place is. Staple in Duluth for bubble tea and smoothies. I always get the Grande Coconut smoothie, extra sweet with boba. You can add poppings to your drinks as well. I was pleasantly surprised after riding around on Christmas Day hoping to find something open...I was so happy they were open for a few hours! You're guaranteed great service with a smile and the smoothies are always on-point. They also have a stamp per drink card which makes you eligible for a free one after 10. This place is a hidden gem! There are lots of boba places in Duluth, but this place has so much more. What an extensive food menu! I felt like I was in Singapore. They have dumplings, laksa, samosas, a shaved ice bar with tons of toppings, lots different coffees (Malaysian, Thai, etc.) and so much more. Plus the boba drinks aren't too sweet and the owners are so nice. There's a patio for COVID times and the beautiful Shorty Howell park, with picnic tables, is right next to the cafe. read more

First time here and LOVED it. Reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. Lots of flavors and topping options that I haven't seen at other bubble tea shops. Both the Taro and Thai milk teas were yummy! We also had some sesame balls and sampled the raspberry cheesecake and tiramisu. Both delicious. The shop itself is cozy and roomy at the same time. This is one of my favorite bubble tea place in the area! The store doesn't have the flair that other places may have but quality tea is there. It's not overly sweetened, and it doesn't feel like just a fruity flavored drink. It tastes like a tea that has some fruit in it--definitely a difference! Boba was the perfect consistency as well. I absolutely ADORE this place! I think I just about have taken all of my friends and family to this spot. The boba tea is delicious, and the coffee drinks, and the smoothies. My favorites are mango and the coconut smoothie with regular boba in it, or the popping strawberry boba. The snack menu is BOMB! And so are the food items, I haven't tried everything yet but it's definitely on my list. My sisters live in Tennessee and they will sometimes drive 2+hrs to come visit me BECAUSE they want boba mocha!!! (Thank you boba mocha) Oh yes and also, my mom doesn't speak English well, and I love how welcoming the business owner is with her. He is just a ball of energy that will ALWAYS laugh and joke and bring joy into your life. Found this place since it was so highly rated on yelp. Don't forget to check in and get 10% off your drink! We got bubble tea, and didn't have a chance to sample the hot snacks. The bubble tea comes in three sizes, the venti is huge! This place is very generous with their portion sizes with drinks and doesn't water it down with ice. But the tea seemed to be made from powders, the almond milk one had a cinnamon marzipan taste to it. The matcha milk was good, but had a grainy texture to it. We went to this bubble tea place because of all the good reviews. However, if you are a bubble tea enthusiast, just know they don't use real tea. THEY USE POWDER, NOT REAL TEA. I'm giving one star for nicely chewy boba and one star for the friendly manager. The powder leaves a residue in the straw and a sour aftertaste in your mouth. This place was the first time I ever had bubble tea so I feel super nostalgic when I go! I don't think I raved enough about the Mocha Cappuccino with boba. If you like frappes and you like boba, this is your drink. I keep going back for this same drink! It is sweet and the soft, chewy boba always balances the sweetness and adds a perfect kick. I remember when I first had it and I went to Sweet Huts to get a drink similar, they refused to add boba to my frappe and I was super disappointed. I went here to get Boba today with the kids. First of all, the owners and staff are so welcoming! I was greeted immediately on entering and leaving with a smile and a cheerful hello/how are you/thank you/have a great night/thank you for coming. The venue is extremely clean (even the bathroom!) and has lots of seating for post COVID. I got an iced Malaysian coffee with brown sugar boba and condensed milk, my son got the caramel Frappe and my sister got the Stupid Cupid (I think it was the one with guava, green tea and lemonade boba) with strawberry jelly. We also got 3 macaroons. We all LOVED our drinks and the macaroons. They also have a punch card and Weds is double punch day so I'm already almost at a full card. Yay! There are a lot of Boba cafés in the area but the customer service alone will make me go out of my way to drive here. The service is top notch! It is soooo nice to feel like your dollar is valued at a business. Oh also, one of out drinks had a cool light up thing on the bottom of the cup. read more

Probably one of my favorite Bubble tea locations right now! I visited Boba Mocha on a Saturday, and ordered off of their classics/Traditional menu to get a couple of their Slim Taro Milk Teas. The teas come in Petite ($3.99), Slim ($4.99) and Grande ($5.65). The Grande is pretty big, as the Slim looks like other competitors medium size. In addition to the Taro teas, I ordered the Taiwanese chicken nuggets, spicy ($3.75) The Taro flavor was really tasty, almost too sweet but the ice/milk evened the flavor out, and the boba was super soft/fresh. We both enjoyed it, and their teas are definitely the stars here. Additionally, they have a stamp card system where with each drink, you get a stamp. After you collect 9 stamps, a free drink is yours! The Taiwanese nuggets were simply okay to me, sadly. They were a little greasy, weren't well seasoned, and although staff who waited on me warned me about how spicy it was, it wasn't very spicy at all. The size of the nuggets were slightly smaller than other locations i've seen, but for a snack, they will hit the spot. If you're not up for their nuggets, but do want a snack, they do have a snacks menu, all of which are $3.75 and cooked to order. If you don't want snacks, there's all sorts of pastries to check out as well (menu and pics below!) Service was fast, getting me in and out in under 10 minutes (and getting the two teas ready in just a couple of minutes), and there's plenty room for coming to sit and hang out if you like. Located off of Pleasant hill, just before you hit Buford hwy, Boba Mocha shares space in a little strip with a few other stores, although parking on a Saturday evening was not even close to an issue. So my plan for today was actually go eat at J's Mini Hot Pot and go to The Coffee By Hand to work on my novel...my attention was stolen by Boba Mocha when I found out that they were literally and skip and a hop away from where I was picking up printer ink. So why the sudden change? I've only been craving hot pot since forever and a day ago! Well...once upon a time I visited the Taiwanese festival and tasted a cup of Thai iced tea from the Boba Mocha stand...and it was as if I had met my Thai tea true love. Yes, when it comes to ladies, I only have one love. But food and drinks, oh man, they have own categories and subcategories and within each of those divisions, there is a "true love." See why I'm so loyal to my girlfriend? I'm too busy cheating on food and drinks ha~~ Today I ordered the well anticipated Thai iced tea and it did not disappoint! I spent some time in the shop, writing away as I got more and more comfortable that I almost felt right at home! The staff are so friendly, unlike *cough* Sweet Hut on Buford Hwy *Cough*. The older lady is just so so so sweet and kind! I was sitting no more than three feet away from the trash can and yet she insisted on cleaning up after me. The younger staff all had friendly smiles on their faces and it just makes the atmosphere so cozy. My second cup of Bubble Sin is the taro milk tea with taro pudding. Love taro much? Why yes I do. That and this is the ONLY place I've ever seen taro pudding. Yup. Didn't even see it in Asia when I was there. Whether you're a lone wolf like me or a social butterfly, this place is absolutely fantastic for any occasion. If you're hungry they have a decent selection of savory food as well as sweets. As I was leaving today, I had the pleasure of chatting with the owner and I found out he's Malaysian. Malaysia is a country that's almost like a melting pot of everything in Asia. That might just be the reason why Boba Mocha has such a diverse food menu! Stop by and grab a drink and/or bite to eat! You won't regret it. Before Boba Mocha finally opened last month, I had driven past the store numerous times on my way to Shorty Howell Park. I remember thinking, "Why the heck is another boba place opening up in Duluth? Who can compete with Quickly?" Well, so far, Boba Mocha has proven to be a strong competitor! After reading a few reviews on Yelp and realizing that they're finally open, I recently made the trip to Boba Mocha on a Sunday afternoon. There were only two tables of customers and no wait to order at the counter. I ordered a small Honey Milk Tea with boba, and my friend ordered a regular coffee ($1.39). (Who orders a regular coffee at a boba place?! That's exactly what I was thinking, too...) I also ordered Spicy Taiwanese Nuggets to share. Then, I paid at the counter (yay for accepting credit cards!) and was told to grab a seat because they would bring our drinks over to our table. A few minutes later, one of the employees brought our drinks to us. After one sip, I immediately realized that this was NOT black milk tea, which I had expected it to be. It tasted like jasmine green milk tea, and it was not sweet AT ALL. I told the employee, who said she would re-make it for me. The second one she brought to me was the same type of milk tea (I'm sure it was jasmine green milk tea) but sweetened. It definitely tasted better, but it was certainly NOT the black honey milk tea that I wanted. I walked over to the counter this time to let someone know. To make a long story short, I was told that they offer different types of milk tea (duh?), but they made me the one they did since I "didn't specify which one." Well, they didn't tell me my options! I just thought that, like other boba places like Quickly, the "Milk Tea" would be black milk tea, and I wanted it to be sweetened with honey. * Black Honey Milk Tea w/boba (Small - $2.50) - When they finally made me the Black Honey Milk Tea with boba, I thought it tasted pretty good! It was perfectly sweetened - not bland but not overly sweet. The boba balls were the perfect texture as well. I really enjoyed it and thought the Honey Milk Tea was even better than Quickly's (recently, they were making it WAY too sweet). * Spicy Taiwanese Chicken Nuggets ($3.50) - These were served hot in a Chinese take-out container, which was cute. I thought the spicy seasoning was not nearly as good as Quickly's. However, I really liked the deep-fried basil (I think!) leaves that were added, probably as a garnish. I decided to taste one and thought it was surprisingly yummy! Even though it's not as good as Quickly's, I would order this again. Overall, Boba Mocha gets 4 stars for their good Milk Tea with boba and friendly employees. I had to subtract 1/2 a star because I wasn't informed of their different options for milk tea, and they didn't tell me about their different toppings (coffee jelly, grass jelly, etc.), either. I had specifically asked if they had any, but perhaps the person who took my order didn't really understand English and told me "No." I don't know... They do offer free Wi-Fi, but I'm deducting another 1/2 star because it is incredibly slow. In fact, it was so slow that my friend wanted to take our drinks and go to Starbucks to use the Internet there. I'm sure I'll return to Boba Mocha, especially now that I know about their Scoutmob deal, and I'll get the BLACK Honey Milk Tea with boba and Spicy Chicken Nuggets again. =) [Review 289 of 366] read more

One of my favorite places to get bubble tea! I've always had a great experience and my last visit was no exception. The barista was very friendly and helpful as she offered suggestions and showed us Boba Mocha's updated menu. I chose the 'mango green tea' with boba and poppers (!!!!; my favorite!). I also decided on a creme brulee ($3.99) -which was small - it came in a cupcake sized tinfoil cup - but very good nonetheless, I was scraping at the remnants again. The mango tea was great - especially with the poppers, I wish they were available at more bubble tea cafes. The boba was good, not too soft, chewy - but it wasn't that odd texture tapioca can become if it's overcooked. Back to their updated menus, there's so many more options for bubble tea (more flavors, new toppings), they have a nice selection of savory snacks as well. There's also a huge selection of desserts/pastries, more "Western" options than most of their competitors probably carry: cheesecake from 'The Cheesecake Factory', tiramisu, parfaits, cupcakes, etc..but there are still various Asian sweets to choose from. Overall, a nice, cozy cafe to get some work done (free wifi!; pw: bobamocha), hang out with friends, and get a little bit of a sugar high. read more

Having just arrived in Atlanta and determined to get our hands on some bubble tea by the end of the day, my family stopped by Boba Mocha because it was nearby. Upon entering, the little cafe looks like a cute spot for spending some time with friends or to spend a couple hours studying at. They offer bubble tea, ice cream, and some food to snack on. My sister and I went with the bubble tea. I got the matcha milk tea and my sister got the raspberry milk tea, both around three dollars each. My dad opted for a scoop of green tea ice cream instead. The bubble teas were extremely cheap compared to what we were used to, being from South Florida where we regularly fork over nearly five dollars for a drink. We were handed a stamp card after ordering - buy 9 drinks, get 1 free. I'm sure we'd be quick to fill it up if we lived in the area. I enjoyed my matcha milk tea, it wasn't too sweet and had a nice matcha flavor to it. However, I thought my sister's raspberry milk tea was better (as did she). The raspberry milk tea was full of raspberry flavor and had a nice balance of sweetness and tartness. My dad enjoyed his green tea ice cream as well. I'll definitely stop by if I'm ever in the area again! The bubble tea was great and the staff were all really friendly. The owner even dropped by our table to ask how everything was. I want to preface this review by saying that Boba Mocha is my favorite boba place in Metro Atlanta. Until today, I was a regular customer and always blown away by the expansiveness of their menu, the kindness of their owner (who always walks around the store saying hi to customers - more on this later), and over the last few months, the precautions they seemingly took to prevent covid exposure for customers and staff. So, keeping all this in mind, I took my parents here today for our weekly boba outing and had an experience with the owner that made today our last time at Boba Mocha. We walked in today to order and got our regular drinks, plus a couple macaroons, when the owner walked into the store again and made the rounds to say hi to everyone. He recognized my parents and cheerfully asked them how they were doing, when my mom noticed something - the owner wasn't wearing a mask and was getting extremely close to customers as he was talking to them and acknowledging them. To the store's credit, all the employees behind the counter were wearing a mask and it seemed like most of the customers wore one as well. My mom respectfully asked the girl behind the counter why the owner wasn't wearing a mask, and the employee said my mom should directly ask the owner. When my mom politely and respectfully asked the owner why he wasn't wearing a mask, he said "because I'm not behind the counter." My mom replied "yes, but you're walking around saying hi and interacting with everyone. You should set an example for your store as the owner", to which he replied (in what seemed like a smartass-y tone) "then I won't say hi to anyone." He then laughed in our faces...without a mask on. A few minutes later, while we were still waiting for our drinks, he picked up a mask he had with him, looked over at us, and said "see, I have one!", while still not wearing it. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue. We love the boba here and the owner is usually a nice person. But, as the owner of the establishment, it's on him to set an example for everyone there and not behave in an alienating manner toward his customers. The only reason we stayed in the store at that point is because we had already paid and ordered. Based on the owner's behavior today, however, we're never coming here again. There are plenty of other boba places in Duluth that treat their customers more respectfully and take the dangers of this pandemic more seriously. read more

Great bubble tea shop with excellent service. The menu includes bubble tea drinks, slushies, smoothies, some entrees, and snacks. I've ordered a few different drinks from here. My favorite drink so far is the mango smoothie with grass jelly. In addition to grass jelly, there's quite an assortment of toppings that you can add to your drinks. These toppings include lychee jelly, aloe vera, and mango pudding. Drink flavors include white chocolate, blueberry, and peach. I've also ordered the Thai milk tea and Jasmine milk tea here. The boba are very soft and not too chewy. The atmosphere is great for both socializing and work. The shop isn't tiny, but it feels cozy. The WiFi was fast, which is definitely a plus. Also, there's plenty of outlets, so you won't have to worry about your laptop running out of battery. Pop music plays at a volume that provides pleasant background while working or talking with your friends. The owner and the staff are super friendly. They go out of their way to make their customers happy, which is another reason to keep going back. If you like Boba Mocha, don't forget to pick up a rewards card. Matcha Milk Tea. That is one that I have not tried yet. I was in the area with my sister, Crystal H and we stopped by to get a quick bite to eat and try their new flavored milk tea drink. We shared a XL or grande size (the biggest size they had). I have not been here in months, maybe? A year, maybe? Because of bad experience.. but I decided to give this place another shot. The price changed dramatically! Ick. I don't like how they raised the price so much! Anyways, that must mean they're doing well, no? Matcha Milk Tea - Matcha meaning "green tea powder" actually means "powder". I got 3 toppings: boba, egg pudding and aloe vera. Got it in the HUGE size which was $4.95! It tasted good. Not too sweet but I could hardly taste the green tea flavor. It wasn't very strong. I guess people like it like that? Eh. I guess I would get this, again. I also tried their mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce at the side. It was hot and fresh! Stretchy cheese as well! Thank God, I didn't burn my tongue! Yea.. pretty good.. but nothing special. The samosa was good, too, but they should really update their picture on their snack menu. The samosa picture looks A LOT bigger than the actual samosa that my little sister, Crystal H had ordered. Boba Mocha is the new popular stop for bubble tea in the Duluth area. However, even after reading multiple reviews to get more information, I have still not be able to identify the items to order that make this place so special. While the staff is very nice and the atmosphere is new and clean looking; the bubble tea is kind of watered down, not very flavorful. After looking at the menu and seeing what other patrons were eating, the food did not look that great either. With so many delicious restaurants, and better bubble tea and snack-shops in the area--- I prefer to eat and drink elsewhere. However, I will come back soon to try the Taiwanese Basil Chicken and compare to Quickly and Lattea. read more
